A Topical Solution: Poems on History, Social Justice, and Current Events

Rate this book
This book was borne out of the necessity of needing to isolate my topical poems from the rest of my poetry. It contains poetry about social justice, work, the environment, peace, war, revolution, being a political poet, anti-racism, feminism, socialism, pro-LGBT rights, waking up, anti-fascism, and how my Judaism sometimes intersects with that. Poems may contradict one another. Like all human beings, I have evolved and changed my opinions over the years. If something speaks to you, wonderful. If it doesn’t, that’s okay, too. I don’t claim to be correct about everything. This is just how I see the world. I started out writing peace poems and about my experiences as a working class person. This evolved into also talking about many other topics. They are organized in the order they originally appeared in my earlier books.
