My professor gave me my first D.
Now my next assignment is due…in nine months.

You know when you meet your new professor, and he ends up being the same man you had a one-night stand with three months ago?

Okay, maybe not. Let me explain.

I hadn’t intended to sleep with my professor. I might be known as the impulsive, prankster daughter in my family, but I’m not insane. I just wanted to have some fun in Ireland at my sister’s wedding, and maybe lose my virginity, too.

When I met Lochlann Gallagher at a pub one night, I couldn’t resist him. He was hot, Irish, and entirely set on seducing me. One unforgettable night under the sheets with him, and my V-card went up in smoke.

Well, that night had one itty bitty consequence because Lochlann totally made my eggo preggo.

And if this story isn’t crazy enough, Lochlann is not just my baby daddy: he’s now my professor and my advisor for grad school.

Somehow we have to figure out a way not to reveal this rapidly gestating secret while resisting the explosive attraction between us.

Except there’s just one more complication to this story: I think I’m totally falling for my baby daddy.

Oopsie daisy.

High 2 stars here.
I was somewhat disappointed in this one. I read the first book in the series and thought it was ok so had no expectations for this one. Well, maybe hoping I'd like it better. I did not. I liked the premise just not the execution of the story.
I found there were a few too many inconsistencies. Dress/shirt, glasses askew/lost, timeline errors, subjects brought up but not followed through...
I found Kate to be incredibly immature. She constantly had to say she was mature but then lies and acts childish. Lochlann was the only character I liked but only a little. Didn't feel much connection with either of them.
I felt like some scenes that were needed to make the story come together more were absent. Flashback to when they met but what happened when they saw each other at the wedding? Telling her parents she was pregnant? Resolution with Liz? The story felt rushed. Ending happened abruptly.
Then some scenes that were just plain odd. His office, serious talk then all of a sudden I felt like it just didn't fit.
I received an advance readers copy for an honest review.

I picked this book on a whim because it was in my tbr and I was desperate for a comedy. I wanted to laugh, and I did while I was reading this book, but I would say it was mostly an ok story.

Kate and Lochlann had a one-night stand while Kate was in Ireland for her sister’s wedding with Lochlann’s cousin. They meet at a pub, and they decide to spend the night together. After a few months they discover that hero is going to be heroine’s advisor and that’s when heroine finds out that she’s pregnant by him.

I liked the heroine (most of the time), she made me laugh a lot and I really liked that she’s presented as brilliant young woman who studies genetic engineering. It’s not everyday that you read about heroines that are scientists, unfortunately… As for Lochlann I liked that he was dedicated to his work, but he really got in my nerves when he said that he couldn’t find love and success at the same time. Look around you dude, it’s working for millions of people…

What made me not enjoy this book that much was the plot and that I had a hard time to understand the time line but that's probably my problem. I’m okay with the one-night-stand-turned-to-more trope but some things just didn’t click. After it’s revealed that Kate is pregnant there’s a time that they’re talking about how they’re going to raise their kid and then, in a matter of seconds, they started fooling around and then he kicked her out of his apartment. I really didn’t understand how they got from one point to another and there was at least one more time that a similar thing happened. The first time they hadn’t even talked about how their relationship was going to be like… All their intimate scenes felt rushed to me and even a little bit odd. Also, Lochlann was hesitant to have a relationship with his student and yet there’s a scene with light BDSM in his office. Am I the only one that did understand his change of heart that time? 😳

There were some plot holes too, like how Kate told her family she was pregnant or what happened with Liz?

I’m pretty sure this review doesn’t make much sense but so did the book sometimes. My main purpose while reading this was to laugh and I did so 3 stars for this story.

DNF

The hero and heroine had no chemistry.
They both acted like immature idiots.
For being so smart they sure were so dumb because the whole conflict was ridiculous. They didn’t need to hide anything. They were both adults who met previous to being assigned as tutor-student at uni. All they had to do was go to the head of the department explain the situation, be reassigned and be done with that. Lying to everyone at work and family was a stupid and immature thing to do and it just showed them both in a weak, pathetic light.

I didn’t like anything about this book. Not the plot and definitely not the characters.

It's definitely not perfect but when you compare it to book 1 and 2, you would rate this higher to others. The book is interesting and angsty because he never wanted a relationship and suddenly he got a baby. The guy is calculative and focused on his research/career. Meanwhile our heroine is focused too but now suddenly she got thrown this wrench called a surprise pregnancy. IT WAS GOOD BUT NOT THE BEST 3.5 STARS

Oopsie Daisy is the third and presumably last book in The Flower Shop Sisters series. This book was the one I was eagerly anticipating since it was Kate’s story and I couldn’t wait to see what shenanigans she would get herself into.

Kate was a firecracker. She’s funny, sarcastic, intelligent and fun. She’s the youngest Wright sister and walks to beat of her own drum. When in Ireland for her sisters wedding, she decides to let loose. She ends up having a one-night stand with a stranger—which results in her getting pregnant. But what Kate never expected to happen is for that stranger to end up being her professor.

Lochlann is a very serious and brooding man. He takes his career as a professor extremely seriously. He breathes, sleeps and eats his job. He never would’ve thought that a one-night stand three moths ago would come back and be his student. And now add pregnancy to that list—well, things have just gotten complicated.

It’s no denying Kate and Lochlann’s attraction. Though now that they both know who they are it’s best to keep things professional. At first it’s easy for Lochlann because he doesn’t want anything to jeopardize his career, but slowly he starts to realize that he feels more for Kate. And when he finds out he’s going to be a father he wants to be there and care for both of them. It was sweet and endearing watching Kate and Lochlann realize they were more than a one-night stand.

Oopsie Daisy was an enjoyable read. Filled with laughs and sweet moments. The romance was explosive and hot. Overall, Kate and Lochlann’s journey was entertaining from beginning to end.

I've been eagerly anticipating Oopsie Daisy so as soon as I got it, I picked it up! This book brought back the feelings I had while I read the first novel . It was quirky, fun, witty, hilarious!

Kate is the really smart sister, but also the one with no filter and the inappropriate jokes. Three months ago, she had a one-night stand in Ireland and her first time having her cherry popped. She was definitely not expecting her new grad adviser to be the same man.

Iris Morland always manages to get me to laugh out loud or smile throughout the entire novel. Oopsie Daisy was no exception. I enjoyed this story so much! Kate is such a funny character. I especially love how her mind works. It's like a comedy show in there. Lochlann is more serious, but even he can't fight a smile when Kate opens her mouth to say something unfiltered.

It was so beautiful to see these two come together; it was also heartbreaking. Lochlann's job and visa are in jeopardy if anyone finds out. In order to keep things a secret, they had to be careful. It was sad to see how much this was affecting them, especially Kate. But as always, Lochlann would come through and be the support she needed to move forward.

I always love getting to spend time with Kate's family. I do wish I had more time with them. They weren't all that present in this one, but the few times they appeared, it was fun to see them all together.

Overall, Oopsie Daisy delivered in many ways. The romance was definitely explosive, hot, and sweet. And the witty comments were super fun to keep you very well entertained from beginning to end.

"Honestly, if anyone knew how many voices I had in my head I’d probably be committed."

And that my reading friends, is the most authentic introduction to Kate Wright that I can conjure. That line instantly connected me to Kate - because heck, as an avid reader I have many voices in my head too. The thing with Kate is that MOST of her dialogue is not inner at all, she's very much an open book and I am super excited to have her story. Given Kate's unique brand of "Moxy," there are a few things that I found surprising. She's entertaining, to say the least, but she's also more vulnerable than I ever imagined.

The youngest of the Wright daughters, Kate, was herself an ooops baby and while she doesn't seem maternal at all, she is clearly headed there. And the schmexy Irish man who is her baby daddy, Lochlann, is also a graduate advisor, making this is a forbidden love story. It just takes a bit to get to the love part, making a slow burn story as well. The fact these two can't keep their hands off each other only heightens the combination of illicit and funny/laugh out loud reading experience.

That said, there are a few moments with Kate that I wanted to shake her, and I would say most would find her initial reaction to finding Lochlann in the office as her professor a little off-putting. She's a smart girl, but clearly not great at the thinking on her feet where her emotions are involved. But I love her heart and her intentions. The entire situation is fraught with consequences and as Lochlann tries to do the right thing, he slowly learns it's not exactly cut and dry as to what that is.

As expected this was a light yet emotional read. I love the Wright daughters, the parents and the men that have ended up in their lives and have really enjoyed each of their books. Iris Morland was a new to me author when I started this series and I am so glad to have found her.

I am new to this author and adore her sense of humor reflected in the characters and dialogues throughout this book. It's a light and fast-paced novel and has just the right amount of romance and steamy scenes. The book is book 3 in a series but it works fine as a standalone read.

Oopsie Daisy was probably the shortest out of the three books within The Flower Shop Sisters. In it, you will meet Kate and Lochlann. They went from a very steam one night stand, at her sisters wedding, to accidentally ending up pregnant. To make matters even more horrible.. he is now her advisor at the same college within the same program. Yikes!

The drama throughout this book was just weird. It definitely annoyed me and made no sense at all. Like the outside drama really because the "villain" was just annoying. Or as Lochlann would put it - a real dirty wagon. Then there's the relationship drama which also annoyed me because people can be so dumb sometimes.

Other than that, the romance was okay and the story flew by for me. I'm kind of glad that I randomly dove into this because the audios were pretty quick and helped the day go by faster.

Let me begin by saying this is one of the very few if not only book by this author I haven't liked. For me I never really liked Kate. She spent a lot of time lying. It got really old. She was childish and immature at times. I felt bad for Lochlann because truly he deserved better. However, they did finally get their happy ending.

3.5/5 ⭐️
3.25/5 🌶

Tropes:
- age gap (10yrs) ~ 32 & 22
- one night stand
- forbidden love
- student x professor (hero turns out to be her advisor)
- they are cousins-in-law (definitely not related)
- accidental pregnancy (early in the plot)
- black mail
- virgin heroine

This is what my guilty pleasure would be in book form. Except I’m not guilty because fuck that.

This is great. I’m just not a fan of “rom-coms” and I haven’t found a book that will change that opinion. The funny moments just hit so dry to me but otherwise this was very enjoyable.

I wasn’t a fan of the hero’s constant “regret”. He never says it out loud but his inner dialogue pissed me off.

“𝙄 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙’𝙫𝙚 𝙠𝙚𝙥𝙩 𝙢𝙮 𝙘𝙤𝙘𝙠 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙨. 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙝𝙖𝙪𝙣𝙩 𝙢𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙢𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚.”

⬆️That’s not book husband material that’s for sure.

Finally got Kate's story and I'm glad of that. The sex scenes between she and Lachlan were hot, but I'm left wondering when did they fall in love.

There was some hot sex between them, but nothing of substance actually took place on the pages of this book to make me believe that they loved each other.

That being said (about the no love factor), I still enjoyed finally getting the conclusion to Kate's story as well as this series. The only other thing overall that I wished we had gotten is an epilogue to show us a bit further into the future for all the sisters.

This book was exactly what I needed. I have been reading so much mystery/thriller books lately tsat this book was such a breath of fresh air.

It was light, fast paced, funny and I loved both the 2 people in the relationship. I love when a book can make me laugh out loud often and this one did.

This book is quirky and cute. Kate is hilarious and entirely relatable. Full of sass and spunk. While there are some big feels, the amount of moments where I was laughing hysterically were too many to merit any tissues. 10/10

What are the chances that your one night stand you met in a pub in Ireland would be your new brother-in-law's cousin or better yet your new grad school advisor in Seattle? That would be one big fat coincidence but that's what happens to Kate and Lochlann. They both know that if found out they could both be ruined work and school wise. Especially when they find out that Kate is pregnant. So they must pretend to be Professor and student on campus and keep their surprise baby a secret from class-mates, other faculty and family. Hard to do when you're fighting a strong attraction that's fastly turning into feelings and you can't seem to keep your hands off of each other.
Just like the other Wright sisters, Kates story was fun, flirty and sexy. Liam was the crazy serious to her...crazy.

So my biggest thing is while she has plans to fix her professional future at the end of the story, it never actually occurs in the book. Also I'm not entirely sure any of this could be called a happy ending. The blackmailer kept their job and faced no consequences. The couple who had a preexisting entanglement prior to their student teacher relationship both screwed their careers when they didn't get involved while attending the college. She ends up having to give up her very large family and her country. He manages to go back to his old career, she's still a stay at home mom, but hey they have a kid and they're getting married so yay? Yeah, NO. It's not a happy ending because one dude it sounds like his career advancement would have been more likely to happen in the US but yeah that's screwed over something he did when he didn't even work there. Two the bad guy pretty much gets away with it. Three, when I was in my early 20s I told myself I'd go back and finish college once my kids started school. I'm now 39 and never did, my oldest has graduated school, my younger two are juniors and seniors in high school. Intending to do something especially when it's about you and you're a Mom doesn't always mean it will happen so the state of this when it ends basically has her giving up her dreams to be a house wife. Being a housewife is only an good thing when its something you actually want for yourself. Not when events kind of force you into it.

Finishing this book I'm just left angry and I honestly would rather have skipped it. It comes across to me more like a cautionary tale against one night stands than it does any sort of romance. Kind of hard to recomend something that if you'd known how it ended would have been a hard pass for you.

I listened to / read this series over three days. They were okay, but this one had some serious plot holes. Kate and Lochlann had a one night stand sometime during the week before a wedding where they were both in the wedding party. The only thing the book mentions is the original hook-up. Nothing about actually being introduced to each other as part of the wedding party or anything that happened during the wedding. For obvious reasons, this is odd. There was never any mention of awkwardness at meeting each other, etc.

This book also ignored the foreshadowing provided by the previous book in the series. In the epilogue, Mari and Liam are dancing and they both notice Kate and Lochlann have disappeared, and when they return they are disheveled looking hinting at some type of physical interaction at the wedding. NO mention of that or anything about the wedding day at all in this book.

No mention of telling her family she was pregnant or their reaction to refusing to name who the daddy was. Hello? It was just casually mentioned when her mom sent her a text.

The timeline of the book felt so off. It lacked consistency.

My other annoyance is that Lochlann ends up being her advisor for a Ph.D. program. When she goes to meet him it's mentioned that he's a new professor and that his name is not on his door. Did she get some mystery note stating "meet your no-name advisor in room xxx"? More than likely not. They both would have known each other's names before this meeting took place since they were part of the same damn wedding party. The whole interaction came off as false. Little stuff like this bothered me throughout the whole book. Not good.

In comparison to the other two books in the Flowershop series, Oopsie Daisy fell a bit flat for me. I liked the storylines but I felt the writing wasn't as good and at times, a bit repetitive. It was an enjoyable read but had potential to be so much more.

This was the first book I've read in this series and by this author. From what I gather from some other reviews, this can be read as a standalone but the main character, Kate, shows up in the previous two books of the series about her older sisters.

Originally, I had rated this book 4 stars. And then I thought about it. Something just didn't sit right with me.

I never once felt like Kate and Lochlann were in love. They had a one-night stand in Ireland after Kate's sister's wedding to Lochlann's cousin. Then she's pregnant. And of course, Kate's a grad student and Lochlann just has to be her advisor since they are working on similar research. Because her getting pregnant after a one-night stand in a foreign country wasn't bad enough.

Lochlann and Kate pretend they don't even know each other the first time they reconnect. He's purely professional, as her advisor, and she just has to spill her guts about an imaginary boyfriend waiting for her so she can cut the meeting short. Next thing you know, Kate's pouting and whining because 1. he doesn't remember her (but he does...), 2. he's her advisor, and 3. she's an immature brat. I didn't like Kate at all throughout the book. So many issues could have been solved if she and Lochlann had just sat down and talked everything through. But no, she has to be whiney even when he's trying to help her and he cares more about saving his career since it's basically his whole life. One of his previous relationships even imploded because he couldn't pay attention to anything more than his research. Hell, Lochlann even involves another faculty member at the college to switch Kate's advisor without telling her anything and is then surprised when the faculty won't switch without a good reason (which he can't reveal).

Moments of the plot that would have made things make sense or just deliver the story better were missing or just didn't make a lot of sense the way they were added. The two main characters were kinda horrible and, honestly, didn't feel natural or believable. About the only things believable were that the faculty tried to blackmail Lochlann out of his research so they could get tenure and that Lochlann was fired after he revealed to the university that he had slept with his advisee and gotten her pregnant. Nevermind that he hadn't known Kate was his advisee until months after he slept with her, but that's beside the point. I guess the erotic scenes were okay, but even those sometimes felt exhausting to read and out of place.

I read the blurb/book description/synopsis and was excited by the humor in the writing. But the jokes in this book felt flat and uninteresting, sometimes even cringy or overdone, because of how little I liked the main characters and how repetitive it all was. This was a 3 star read, for no other reason than it wasn't the worst book I've ever read.

Finally getting Kate’s book and it fit her perfectly! After Kate decides to let loose at her sister’s destination wedding, those decisions end up following her back to the US when she finds out that not only is she pregnant, but her baby daddy is her advisor for grad school. Lachlann is new to the US and excited to continue his career and research somewhere he knows can develop it, but all his dreams come to a halt when he realizes his new advisee is none other than Kate. After he finds out he’s going to be a father, the pair try to keep a low profile of their bundle of joy out of fear that he will be deported and lose his job because of it, even though the met before the school year. I really loved the character of Kate and her strong-willed personality and ability to do what she sets after, no matter how other people feel differently. While I wasn’t originally the biggest fan of Lachlann, I did enjoy how he stepped up to the plate once everything was out in the open and revealed his true feelings. Overall, I loved the book and the end of the Flower Shop Sisters series – each book was delightful and hilarious!

This was really disappointing. The beginning of the book had a lot of potential but as I read on, it starting to feel a bit rushed. I also didn’t enjoy Lochlann’s possessiveness when a serious conversation was being had. It just made for an awkward scene. It was frustrating that this book felt crammed and so there wasn’t a lot of time to connect with the characters. Kate and Lochlann as a couple just wasn’t my favorite. I really wanted to love this book because the first books in this series were great! Giving two stars only because I feel bad to rate it as a one star.😕

So this was definitely hot. But I'm finding that surprise pregnancy and teacher/student dynamics are not my thing and I think for that reason I struggled with this book. I just couldn't like Kate. She read much younger to me. Lachlann also had a weird dynamic that I just couldn't get with. So while I think there were moments that were good, I think this story didn't quite live up to the potential.

Oopsie Daisy is the third book in the Flower Shop Sisters series. It’s about Kate, the youngest sister, who we’ve seen in all the other books. It is still considered a standalone. There’s a good summary of the first two books in the beginning of this one. Kate meets Lochlann in Ireland at her sister’s wedding. They have one hookup and she ends up pregnant. But, it turns out he’s also her new faculty adviser in grad school, which leads to quite a few problems in the workplace.

I loved the first two in the series, so it pains me to say that this one completely missed the mark for me. While I liked Kate’s character, I hated Lochlann. He was grumpy, quiet, and kind of a coward, especially when it came to work, in my own opinion. He also consistently brought up his ex, which got really annoying. I felt like their whole relationship was really forced, and I never fully got on board with it, unfortunately. I’m definitely in the minority but this one didn’t work for me.

This was cute. It was more of a 3/3.5 but I always up it if I think the author deserves it. The steam was there and the story was good but it didn’t make me feel any kind of way. I need books to get my heart racing or pull at my heartstrings and this didn’t do that at all but it was good.
