Jimbo and Dean found each other after spending many years apart. They’re both excited to finally start a new relationship without the fear of the spirit world invading their lives. Jimbo, or James as Dean calls him, decides it’s time for them to have a real date and takes Dean to a local fall event. The beautiful weather, colorful leaves, and crisp air, all add to the perfect day full of new experiences and time alone. As night falls and it’s time to leave, things change. The local spirits reveal themselves. They end up on an adventure neither is prepared for, and both are left unsure how to handle the unbelievable events that happen over the course of the evening. What was supposed to be a romantic day soon turns out to be a life threatening experience they’re ill equipped to handle. They’ll need help from the team to solve this mystery and put the spirits to rest once and for all.
So good! At book 4 (or 2.5, if you will), this series still has the same qualities that drew me in in book one. The perfect balance between spooky and sweet to be perfectly satisfying. The amazing settings. The variety of ghosts and creatures of the other side to make everyone run in fear. And that skill of making you have goosebumps one page and be whispering "awww" at the next one. Aghhh! I just love this series
Loving this relationship between Jimbo(James) and Dean, a great pairing and Jimbo arranges a memorable day out for a date, think re-enactments, costumes and ghosts. As you can guess, things don't quite go to plan, but we get laughs, spooks and a rescue all rolled up in a short but sweet book. Love grouchy Jimbo, especially when he turns into a sap for Dean. Great series.
Even though I wouldn't say I like horror films and ghosts, I adored these books, and they don't make me jump, which is always a bonus. Also, I love the dynamics between the main characters and their friends and family.
The narration was OK, but I did wince at some of the characters performed by Allen Jefferies, especially the female voices. This was a short read/listen and was made shorter by increasing the speed, which is typical for me.

Jimbo and Dean finally get their own story after the events of Ghost Trapped! Jimbo's personality was a wonderful counterpart to Wade and Jason in the first two Valley Ghosts books. After a few misunderstandings and incidents, he and Dean finally go on their date and work towards building a new romantic relationship. Some more background history is shed on how Jimbo met Dean and what happened during culinary school. Both men finally find themselves in a relationship and nothing says a damper like the spirits of executed witches. Jimbo and Dean have to find a way to get their car fixed after it breaks down in an abandoned field where is haunted by the evil vengeful spirits of executed witches. Jimbo and Dean hold their own while they try to cross the spirits over and escape alive but finally, they have to call Wade and Jason because more spiritual power is needed to deal with the witches. Nice spooky novella to tide us all over until Vally Ghosts Book 3 comes out :) BL Maxwell always does a wonderful job writing spooky paranormal books and Ghost Hexed does not disappoint.
Woo hoo, more Jimbo and Dean! These two make me so happy and are adorable. Jimbo is a lovable grump and Dean is the perfect counterpoint for him. I’m so glad they found each other again. Maybe someday all of these guys will be able to have a ghost-free date but luckily today is not that day. Also I’m not sure why I thought it’d be good to read this right before going to bed *spoiler alert* it wasn’t. I do want to know where Jason shops. He has lots of fun gadgets. If you’re looking for a chilling and mysterious ghost story, look no further than this. Just read it during the day.
Jimbo’s and Dean’s own first date! WHAT is with this guys and first dates turning into spooky affairs? Jimbo and Dean go out into what should have been a perfectly normal historical re-enactment and find themselves chased and scared to death by a group of for witches’ ghosts. The book may not be as scary as some of the previous ones (or I may be starting to getting used to it), but it’s still thrilling and exiting, combined with a dose of sweetness, but in Jimbo’s begrudging and grouchy style!
These men can't just have normal first dates; the ghosts like to intrude in them! This time it's Jimbo & Dean's first date and it gets down right scary. Only they could happen upon ghost witches and end a little tied up, quite literally! I'm just glad they know a certain pair of ghost hunters. I'm glad this 2nd short story was as spooky as the main books; last time it was haunted houses brand of Spook! I loved getting to spent time with these two, and I'm off to read the next book!
So we are on a date with Dean and James (jimbo). Big field a pond lots of people. What could possibly go wrong? Opps bad question. Let's say it starts with a car that won't start and from there gets just crazy. Nope, not saying what else but you will not be disappointed. Loved this little shorter story!
I love this story and this pocket sized dynamite of a tale was a perfect addition for the series. Now I must read the next one! Thank you for putting the series on Kindle Unlimited.
I love a good ghost story and this was even better with witches as ghosts. Lots of scary action. This is a series that you should read in order preferably.
Si glad to see a story about Dean and Jimbo. Both are great characters in their own right. The story was definitely spooky. Kept my attention throughout. Recommend reading
I loved this book. After many years apart Jimbo and Dean find their way back to each other. Excited about their relationship without ghosts being a constant in their lives. Jimbo want to take Dean on a date to a local event and that has some spooky consequences.
