In an alternate world called The Ether, a werewolf hunter named Lukas tracks down a mob outfit whose leader is a Lycan named Cain. After Lukas teams with a monster hunting newbie named Marna, the duo is able to locate their target. But an unexpected turn of events reveals that nothing is quite what it seems.
My review is for all five issues in this series. This book has some interesting ideas about AI and video games. It also points out some of the tedious things about old and modern video games, such as grinding for XP and buying XP and weapons with real money to get an unfair advantage.
The story about an used NPC becoming aware and acting upon its murderous programming is a nifty idea that would make a cool steaming series.
The story moves at a nice pace. If it was much longer I feel it would have overstayed its welcome.
The overall art is fine, but the villian's design is really creepy.
