In this book, Michael Allyn LaBorn takes readers on a journey to rediscover the church Jesus built. He uses scripture to clarify who Jesus is and what churches are supposed to be. He nails every chapter head-on. I’m in awe, this is by far the best Christian book I’ve ever read.

More Than A Number is so much more than a book, but a challenge to search deep to see where your relationship with Jesus really is. Michael gives clear, concise self-checks to evaluate if you will be one who calls "Lord, Lord", and be pleased that He knows you. The road is narrow, and wide is the way of destruction, will we once and for all cry out to surrender, and walk through that flame, and find all that is left is Jesus. My favorite quote in the book was, "The life in Jesus doesn't begin with a prayer, it begins with a death. I love the way Michael explains exactly what that death means. It is allowing the Holy Spirit complete control over self, so we can be used in these last days to share the purity, and the uncompromised, love and surrender to the One who called us to begin with. A wonderul read that will stay with me for a long time to come. Looking to spend that time on my knees to ask Him to burn away the chaff, so I can be used in these last days!! Thank you, Michael!!

More Than a Number calls the everyday Christian to move into a deeper relationship with Christ. Michael Allyn LaBorn utilizes a simple conversational writing style to encourage readers out of a traditional inactive Christian life into the transformative life that Jesus must have had in mind when he said “I will build my church.” He compares typical western church religiosity with the life changing impact of Christ as it is explained in scripture. This boldly challenges the reader to examine their Christian walk and guides them to be more than just an attendee but an active functioning member of the church empowered by spiritual gifts to accomplish the work of God.
