I can't speak to the scientific accuracy of this book in light of modern discoveries but I had a great time reading this.

If you are at or near Yale College in New Haven, Connecticut, do yourself a favor and checkout the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History on the campus. Vincent Scully's The Age of Reptiles: The Great Dinosaur Mural at Yale is a guide to the massive mural in the museum painted by Rudolf F. Zallinger. The fresco "Age of Reptiles" was completed by Zallinger in 1947 and won a Pulitzer Prize. It was painted using fresco-secco techniques perfected in the Italian Renaissance; one prominent art professor called it "the most important wall since the 15th century."
