This is another one I am having a hard time on where to start. As is the norm in Bobby Akart's series, the 3rd book really ramps up the action and intrigue! We have a family, separated by thousands of miles, trying desperately to get home and be with family to deal with the "The Collapse". Chapman and Isabella made it home thankfully, and she's already part of the family and put to work! Kristi and Tommy make their escape from the war zone known as Chicago, along with a new little friend. Hopefully this one doesn't revert back to the wild and can make the trip to the farm safely! Levi, well we all know what fresh frozen hell that man has been through and continues through as he makes his trek back home. Life at the farm is quickly becoming more insular as they prepare to "survive and thrive" in this upcoming world, all hands are on deck and helping to get things moving. Two main flies in the proverbial ointment that are rearing their ugly heads: Squire is rushed to the hospital by Chapman and Isabella, and thanks to some help, gets him to a doctor. Things are not looking good for the patriarch of the Boone family, however a last minute surprise that completely floors the couple.. Throughout this installment, the one thing that can be counted on is the constitution and drive of the Boone clan, they are an amazingly tough bunch, determined to make it through these times. Unfortunately, lurking in the background is the president and his lover-cum-Chief Of Staff AND good ole Bully Billy and his clan. They are bound and determined to, ahem, "legally" get what's theirs no matter the status of the world around them. Something that I really appreciate about an Akart series is the levels and mounts of plots. While seemingly a lot, they are not difficult to follow and I never find myself losing my place or forgetting a key part. If you've read any of his book series, THIS IS ONE you must try, a real cliffhanger at the end !

Gripping, superbly written, action and intense !

This is book 3 of the series and is totally as great as the previous books in the series ! There are basis of fact in this fictional story that one must surely read to understand the shifting of the poles is quite real, just not happening as fast as in this series. An incredible read that should be on the Best Seller List !!!!

Things have really started heating up in this addition to the Geostorm series. Bobby Akart has out done himself AGAIN!!! I think I say that after every book but this time…he really...really has!!! No! REALLY! The president is caught up in a scheme thanks to his Chief of Staff who just happens to be his lover, Levi, who is on his way home from a hunting trip in Canada, is seriously injured and left for dead in a hallway in a hospital, the Boone’s who are preparing for the worst scenario, get a surprise visitor. Whew! AND if that isn’t enough to draw you into the story there are marauders moving into the area taking whatever they want by any means...including killing and then there is The Clark family! You know the one. The family that needs a sinkhole to open up and swallow them all whole! Bully Billy, the owner of the only bank in town and his big ol’ brother Randy, the sheriff who is supposed to be upholding the law(yeah..right) are plotting to get what they want because in their little minds, they believe it is owed to them! Yep! Bobby Akart held nothing back with this book! The action and suspense will definitely keep you clinging to the book or your Kindle until you reach the end where yes...you guessed it! Cliffhanger! AND what a cliffhanger it is!!! It will have you screaming, swearing and sighing but never fear, you won’t have long to wait for the next book. Mr. Akart is great with not leaving us hanging by our fingernails from the ceiling long to find out what happens next! Seriously though...this is now my favorite series by this author and you really don’t want to miss it.

Skip, jump hop

The story get so predictable it's ridiculous. A problem, some prayers, problem fixed. Utterly boring, not recommended. Try Howard Kunstler, much better End of the World stories.

Bobby Akart excels at keeping us reeling as the Boone family faces their many challenges in the ever evolving apocalyptic world.

“Every adventure requires a first step”, Levi reminds us while he continues his treacherous trip home from the northern reaches of Canada. It becomes a truly emotional journey as we follow Kristi and Tommy in their harrowing escape from Chicago with Brooke, their smart, lovable, little chimp. And throw in the problems of illness, a corrupt local government, a greedy, slimy banker, ex-cons, and marauders and the Boone family had better get their act together fast. Lucky for them, they have author Bobby Akart to finesse them forward with laughter, feistiness, knowledge and skill. A true ‘spirit of cooperation’. Well done, Bobby Akart.

Loved it!

Aarrrggg! The author stopped and left me with a cliffhanger. So not nice because I was really getting into the book feeling excited about the Boone family while reading the last chapter. (Fellow readers, so not read the last page!) Start at the beginning, you'll be glad you did.

I love all of the subplots as each character has a backstory. Always need a good 'evil' bad guy to bring out the emotions in the readers. Fortunately, this book has quite a few that I forget I am reading a book and begin yelling at them.

We all love a good story and Bobby Akart has spun a a good tale to keep us entertained. The next book will be epic.

Brings back memories....

How could you leave us at this point in your book. There are two people of the family in the hospital -one in surgery and the lights go out and the second Levi, Chapman's brother who the family did not know where he was (lost after his plane went down in a snow storm while trying to land but because the magnetic problems. He's alive but only.

We not at the lace the pilot thought they where at. He's alive but only. And we cannot get to the next book soon enough.

This is the third book in this emotionally charged, character driven series. Kristi and Levi Boone are separately still fighting to make their way home while encountering many obstacles on the way. Levi is definitely having the hardest time while trying to survive numerous injuries. Meanwhile Squire has been hiding a medical issue which could possibly kill him. Chapman and Isabella are working hard to make sure the family will survive whatever the weather and shift throws at them. Looking forward to the rest of this series

I generally liked this book 3 and have started to warm to the Boone family characters. I did have a couple of minor quibbles. First, the nurse at the hospital was said to have recently finished nurse assistant training. A nurse and a nurse's assistant are not at all the same thing. Second, I am not a fan of using real people as characters (this author has done that in other books), like Mayor Pete in South Bend (really???). These books are much better when the anti-liberal bias is not present. As usual, I do find his diagrams helpful.

Excellent! Heartrending, nerve-wracking and tension-filled apocalyptic tale. This is book 3 in the Geostorm series and each one just keeps me turning pages ever more quickly. Akart blends fact, fiction and potentialities with his marvelous wordsmithing talent. I highly recommend the entire series. Sadly, I just discovered that the publication of book 4 is approximately 2 weeks away therefore I had to waste a few minutes pouting then I decided to begin reading the Yellowstone series by Mr. Akart. Hurray, another addiction!

The third book in this series about another apocalypse scenario. Two of the characters end up having to deal with a corrupt HOA which is demanding all their food. Other characters end up with a young, seemingly normal chimp. Then there's also the normal thugs who think they can terrorize everyone.

The entire country is falling apart and the President declares martial law. The question is how far will the government go in restoring order, if that's even possible.

The entire series is really good and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, something about a flood.

Another excellent story in the series!

Exciting doesn’t even begin to describe the breathtaking world created by the mind of Mr. Akart! I haven’t watched a show on tv since I started this thrilling series because I couldn’t put it down.
I personally love the science and the explanations given. I don’t skip over that because I want to learn as much as possible even while I’m being entertained. The author’s dry wit leaves me smiling and I love the sudden insertions from his point of view! Oh, don’t miss this series! You won’t be sorry.

OMG Akart did it again!

Left us in a helluva cliffhanger! Another exciting chapter in the Geostorm series has non-stop excitement politically, naturally, and personally with the Boone family. The book also has a heaping helping of scientific background concerning the immediate and long-term effects of a pole shift combined with the added excitement of a major CMS event. Well researched and well written as all Akart's book are, and sure to raise your pulse level.

Terrific But Too Short

A terrific quick read. Came to a stop much to quickly. As usual Mr Akart can make a regular normal family into a group of civilian soldiers who will become hero’s and save not only their lives but of others also.
Always well researched Mr Akart is also a wonderful teacher. What we can incorporate into our everyday lives and do may save our families from a disaster if one should occur. Can’t wait for your next book.

Very good, but I thought I had the whole series

I will still give it five stars because it was well written, had a good plot and character development, and kept my interest. However, I bought it thinking all the books had been issued because that was the way it was presented. Now it has abruptly stopped at the end of book 3 and I have to wait a month for book 4. I will forget the details by then. Argh.

The Collapse

Really....reallly???? You ended this book like that? Lol I read your series and as I am reading I think "this one is my favorite" until the next one comes out. Right now this is my favorite and I just love the characters especially Levi. He made it to the hospital so he needs to be ok. I would love to give this series more than 5 stars but that is my limit. If you all are trying To decide if you should read this series, then do it...now!

This book is well written but I'm giving it three stars because it doesn't tell a complete enough tale to justify being a separate novel. It has peeved me enough I will not read the rest of the books in the series, in spite of liking the characters. Incomplete novels leave me feeling cheated.

The first two novels in this series held my interest because they were complete enough to NOT make me feel cheated.

Head for the hills!?

This is book three and I must say I am hooked. When Chapman and Isabella were flying back from Paris, didn't think they would make it (though they did crash land). Then Levi crash landed too, with his best buds in Canada and that horrible situation. Kristi finally makes it home from Chi town, but will her dad survive, will Levi survive, shoot will anyone survive? And I can only guess about the Clark Clan. Aren't things bad enough? Can not wait for #4.

Love the storyline

I really enjoy the story and the characters but only gave the book 4 stars (actually I would have liked to do 3.5 stars) because to me all of the technospeak injected into the story detracted from its overall quality. It kept me from getting engrossed in the book because I would get sidetracked looking up words and information.

The thrilling saga continues

The third installment in the Geostorm series continues to grab your interest and imagination in a way only a true story teller like Akart can do. Masterful plotlines and suspenseful twists keep you on the edge of your seat. I can't get to the next book quick enough.

Wow, what an ending!

Talk about leaving you hanging. This whole series is fast paced apocalyptic action. There is a lot of violence and descriptive gore so if that makes you squeamish this isn’t the series for you. Great storyline with wonderful characters. Looking forward to the next book coming out.

Exciting and scary! Akart earns his 5 stars!

Likeable main characters with an excellent storyline. Despicable had guys always ready to make a bad situation worse. Family members trying to get back home during a major worldwide disaster. Can people survive without electricity? Very interesting series!!

Another extraordinary story by Bobby Akart. Bobby takes you through an educational scientific background to a trec of an American family suffering a geostorm crisis. One can be drawn into the experiences of the characters to make you laugh (there is one so funny I could relate too) and the shed tears for the tragedy. Great story Bobby. Keep up your fantastic work.

Entertaining

Great storyline with evil villains including the president and his chief of staff. The Boone offspring have survived and each trying to get back. Now the head of the family, Squire needs surgery and the president has just cut the power to the only hospital in Indiana. Sheriff Randy is using inmates to steal farmers crops and murder any witnesses.

Wild Story

Some of the oddest books I've read lately. I have a problem with the "hero" stealing trucks from innocent survivors and gunning their way to the front of the line at the ER. Plus, he is privileged being a TV personality. Yuck.

Yet I keep downloading them just to see how it may turn out.

The further into this series I get, the better it gets. The family is really the center point of the story and the dynamics between the members and their partners is what makes it work. They are all very diverse and their strengths and weaknesses make for interesting interactions. This also points out to how ugly power hungry people can be, way too believable.

It continues.

It's amazing how quickly society collapses in a tragedy such as Chapman and the rest of the Boone family are going through. The adventure continues with danger and unimaginable destruction to and by society. I definitely recommend this book!
