Let me just say that I would dnf it but that would have been the second book I dnf this month so I chose to finish it.
Don't ask me why I had this in my tbr. It's probably because I got it for free and because it was a short book.
Let's get clear that this is NOT a secret baby romance. Why would you describe a book like that when the parents are together in the doctor's office when he (the doctor) announces that they're expecting is beyond me. This is a book with the unexpected pregnancy trope.
I'm all about light reads sometimes but this one didn't work for me. It was just soooo flat for the most part. It started off well but then I couldn't get into the story at all. Also, the steamy scenes are pretty long for my liking so I skipped them.
Then, drama came out of the blue. A heroine's psycho coworker that stalked her in the past is the one who caused it because he's pissed now that she's with the hero. Not gonna lie, he reminded me of the bad guys in crime fiction books.
The story didn't interest me at all and the writing style wasn't that good for me so I'm not going to continue reading the series. 2 ⭐

I think we all know a Greg.
Knocked up by a CEO was a cute and short book. It definitely had a happy ending for these two, Zach and Harper. They sort of has a forbidden relationship, but not really since nobody really cared that the CEO was sleeping with her. Well except for creepy Greg.
It all started with a Christmas party. The sexual tension was there and they both went for it. I can’t really say that they blamed it on the alcohol because it wasn’t. However, their feelings for one another definitely grew pretty fast. They were seeing each other throughout the book until the day she found out she was pregnant. A miracle baby if you will.
It was a cute little twist but it was pretty obvious. The little creepy twist with Greg was weird and thankfully short. Then the book was over and I’m okay with it all. I could probably dive into another book of this series if I need too.

I have to say: I was super impressed by this book. I went into it looking for a fun and quick accidental pregnancy book, but it ended up going in a direction that I was not expecting but was really addicting to read about!
The only thing about this book that I did not care for was the ending. Without spoiling this book, the end felt very open and I wanted more.
Overall, super great romantic read with a thrilling twist! Would definitely recommend if you want a good accidental pregnancy book!

Meh. The title says it all, not normally a book I'd go for with a title like that, but it popped up on Facebook and it sounded ok. I'm easily influenced it seems.
I was bugged by the errors in this - spelling, wrong words and shifting tenses aplenty - but I was also perplexed by her supersonic pregnancy where she was experiencing morning sickness and weird cravings two weeks after doing the deed. Hmmm.

A very enjoyable read, love Zach and Harpers story funny at times I’m not into office romance love stories. This book was hot and steamy I give this book 4 stars. Happy Reading

The book starts off with a Christmas party with sexual tension between Harper and Zach. Harper with her best friend Rosie try to fix the Christmas tree to get away from Harpers stalker ,Greg. Let’s just say or doesn’t go as planned. Harper and Zach feelings grow for each other throughout the book.
There are many twists, that where obvious. If your looking for a short, good book this one is for you.

Just a generic romance
that was written without any personality or real detail. Just as the horrible title would indicate, Knocked Up by the CEO (apparently now titled Bad Boss) by Lilian Monroe is all tell and absolutely no show, leaving the reader without any hope of connecting with the characters or generic storyline.
Thankfully this book was offered for free so the only thing I've lost is time.

Lovely story
Yes, I know Insta-love but I have to say I really enjoyed it. It wasn't just a love story. It had a twist with a scary, creepy stalker, who did some damage and there was also a miracle as well. Harper and Zack found something in each other that they didn't know as there and Rosie which I love and can't wait to read her story, is such a great friend and is quite funny and is a really good friend. I enjoyed the story and the characters.

DON'T get the audiobook!! The male narrator is atrocious! Effeminate, breathy, robotic. Dialect is a ridiculous mixture of Australian, Canadian, Valley Girl, and Brooklyn NY. I hope I can find the ebook. Yikes!!!

A sweet, quick romance read involving your classic boss-employee trope and accidental pregnancy. Nothing new here, for sure, but well written. It also has a suspenseful but poorly portrayed subplot that drove me so nuts when it panned out that I called my friend to complain about it, LOL.
Is it bad that I was too annoyed by how they portrayed police response to enjoy the subplot and actually knocked off stars because of it? I don’t think so simply because it caused a massive plot hole that affected so much in the story.
When a cop has rescued a woman from a kidnapping situation and she informs the cop that her kidnapper is off to get her friend across town, the dispensed police don’t just tuck her in their squad car and drive thirty minutes themselves hoping they will catch up! They call it in and a different cop car minutes away from the person in danger gets there so they can catch the kidnapper BEFORE they get the other person while the original cops get victim number one to the hospital!!!
The way the author developed this situation just made the entire subplot completely unrealistic to me since so many things could have been prevented (including the problems that cause the emotional issues in the second book) if the author hadn’t twisted police reality into something only a one-cop-car town with 100 people and a school that serves as a chapel on Sunday morning would do, LOL. So yeah, cute romance but not very realistic with the subplot.

Was a very nice light book. Was full of things that made me laugh and smile. It reminded me a lot of fifty shades *freed* without the child abuse or bdsm lifestyle.

Zach and Harper. He’s her boss. She is in charge of the office Christmas party. The tree falls on her and everything is ruined. Her colleagues relocate to the bar downstairs and then, they’re having sex and she’s riding her boss in his office. No condom because she can’t get pregnant. Promise.
A few weeks later and she has cravings and morning sickness. The company, meanwhile has an emergency that calls for people to work overtime through the holidays with the boss. She of course volunteers. So does her work bestie.
Ah, and she has a stalker. Who works with her. And has already been written up by HR. Who is obviously off the rails.
Boss can’t stay away so they get closer. And find out they’re really good together. And are professional colleague superstars. Nothing can go wrong.
Only she’s pregnant and he freaks. He goes after her BUT THE STALKER GETS TO HER FIRST. Our H goes after her and almost dies in the process. So does her work bestie. And we’re not sure if she is going to be ok...

Great story that had me eager to see what happened next. However, I felt the story became rushed once Harper received her miracle news, and I then discovered this is because the story ends at around 50%. It's followed by the first 10 chapters of Knocked Up By The Single Dad, which is book 2 of this series. And then the author has also included her debut novel, Doctor ‘O’. Neither of these ‘bonuses’ are mentioned in the book description, which frustrates me as I like to know what I'm actually downloading.
I enjoyed Knocked Up By The CEO, but as mentioned above, it becomes rushed and I felt let down. It just seems a shame to put all that work into developing a relationship between the two main characters and then not giving them the time they need to end their story. There's also unanswered questions like who Greg Chesney really is and what happens to him. I'd love to see the author go back and take the time needed to make this story into what it's capable of being.

The premise was cute and sweet, the execution of the book was not. Littered with grammatical errors, a lack of continuity, and adult characters who behave like teens made this a quick and uneventful read.
The pregnancy itself was a farce - having morning sickness and cravings only a couple of weeks into gestation is ridiculous. Hell, a lot of women don't even know they're pregnant until 6+ weeks. I'm guessing the author has never picked up a scientific book on the subject. Which, she really should have.
The story was so corny, and misunderstandings could have been cleared up so quickly if the adults had done the adult thing and y'know...comunicated. If you're going to spend any amount of time sleeping with someone regularly, surely you'd know a little about them. Even FWB's nowadays have an idea of who they're dipping with.
Oh, and one last thing - There are so many amazing ways to describe a penis. Not just cock, cock, cock repeated several times in a paragraph.

This is the first by Monroe that I have read. For a light smutty read, this takes itself a either a little too seriously or maybe the angst comes off as shallow. I can't decide. I enjoyed the book insofar as; that is was quick, had a lovely and satisfying HEA, and played to the trope perfectly. For the trope to not come off as a avon/silhouette read was nice.
I would recommend this as a solid read to anyone looking for more books in the bosses-baby trope.

OK I liked the book so far but I'm on page 77 and I feel as though the author might not have looked into pregnancy. I mean unless there own was that way or their friends or something. But most people don't have cravings or swell after 2 weeks heck most people don't notice til their about 1.5-2 months and then it's just cus their period is late. I mean each pregnancy is different but I've never heard of someone already experiencing symptoms unless it's like bad acne or slight mood swings. Idk imma continue to read but It feels a little unrealistic now... (like all the author needs to do to fix it is change Christmas party with Thanksgiving and make it where she pulls the table cloth or something and food flies around and then maybe itd be more realistic on timing of pregnancies)
Another inconsistency at page 80 .-. ... in the beginning she had auburn hair now it's dark.
After that I'm at 118 and I have to say the book started strong and now it's just went down hill. Like imma give a Spoiler below this after I finish the book but my goodness why just why does authors write characters who are just straight up tstl or constantly in denial about their lives like no....
Now at 129 her hair is honey brown like honey brown is different from auburn I get they're trying to not get repetitive in their words but descriptors should stay in the same range...

Like you can only write a character whos oblivious for so long but this girl has literally ignored everything she's spotted or felt since the beginning. No people would be like nope not a coincidence at this point, let's run ya know but nope not her especially seeing as she's been "looking over her shoulder for a year " no honey apparently you just staring at the creep not being attentive and on gaurd like one who is being stalked .-.

After accidentally ruining the office Christmas party, Harper finds herself having a one night stand with her hot boss, Zach. Neither of them can get the other out of their head afterwards - but their one night together might have unexpected consequences. When Harper is threatened, though, their future is in doubt.
This was okay. I’ve read something by this author before and I was really looking forward to this as it ticked a lot of boxes of what I was in the mood for. The romance element was fine: they had good chemistry and I liked the low-angst (initially, at least), sweet dynamic between them. There were some sexy moments and I liked how the unexpected pregnancy played out. Both Harper and Zach were likeable - I was particularly surprised by Zach, as he wasn’t much like the typical cold alpha hero you get in a romance novel like this.
However, I was a little bit disappointed in other aspects of the novel. The writing could have been a bit tighter - there were a lot of exclamation marks that made the writing feel a bit clumsy, and some of the dialogue felt a bit sloppy. I also wasn’t keen on the major external plot involving It felt very cartoonish and I didn’t think it was very effectively told - there was no real suspense to it to me and I found it a bit jarring with the rest of the plot.
Overall this was fine - it just wasn’t the book for me as it wasn’t quite what I was looking for. Still, it had some nice moments and the romance was quite sweet and sexy. I would recommend it to someone looking for a workplace, boss/employee romance with an unplanned pregnancy plotline.
