Hot Jocks #6

Wild for You

Rate this book
He’s growly. Grumpy. Stubborn.

And now, my new roommate.

Walking away from my disastrous last relationship was an easy decision, but moving in with a friend-of-a-friend hockey star who’s rarely home? Not quite as simple, because Grant makes me feel all kinds of things I’m not prepared for.

Protected. Desired. Unsteady.
____________________

She’s beautiful. Smart. Tempting.

And a little fragile.

I’ve never been anyone’s knight in shining armor, but when Ana needed a place to stay, it was easy to offer her a room with me.

Not so simple, though, is keeping my hands—or my mouth—to myself. And the night she crawls into my bed and shares her body with me? Heaven.

But she’s not looking for a relationship, and to my surprise, I find myself pissed off by that idea.

They say my heart is broken, that I’ll never settle down. I used to think that was true. Now, though? Hell, your guess is as good as mine.

First, she took my bed.
Then she took my heart.
Then she took my everything.

Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all new standalone novel. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series is for you! Each book can be read as a complete standalone.

I’ve been excited for Wild for You ever since I read the last ‘Hot Jocks’ book. I couldn’t wait to get Grant and Ana’s story!

Grant is the captain of the Seattle hockey team and he’s a bit older and more stand-offish than most of the players. He doesn’t date much, keeps to himself, and is a bit of a loner. When he sees one of his players mistreating his girlfriend, he steps in. He’s just that kind of guy. Grant has no ulterior motives, he just wants to make sure Ana is okay.

Ana moved to Seattle with her boyfriend, and at first things are okay. But then they turn into a bit of a mess. Her boyfriend is abusive and she has nowhere to turn, but Grant becomes her hero. He helps her out and is there for her when she needs him.

Grant just might be my favorite hero Kendall has written. He made this book for me. I loved how gentle and kind he was to Ana and how he was always there for her. They had a connection, but he never took advantage of her. I just adored him.

I listened to the audiobook of Wild for You and it’s narrated by Joe Arden and Virginia Rose. Both did a great job, but let me tell you… I love Joe Arden’s voice and he was the PERFECT Grant. I almost always choose to listen to Kendall’s books over reading them because she always has the best narrators, plus her books are just so fun to listen to!

If you’re looking for a sweet, sexy, and fun sports romance that has bit of an emotional kick, pick up Wild for You! I’m sad there is only one more book in this series left, but I can’t wait for Jordie’s story!!!

Ana Walsh is a massage therapist who moved from Las Vegas to Seattle to be with her boyfriend. When everything begins to fall apart she decides to walk away from a bad situation. She’s feeling a little fragile, and not sure where to turn when a practical stranger shows her kindness, and offers her a place to stay. This gorgeous, thoughtful man is a bit gruff, but a good guy. He’s a man of few words, but he provides her with a level of comfort and care she isn’t used to.

Grant Henry is the captain of the professional hockey team the Seattle Ice Hawks. His career is everything to him, and he’s considered a bit of a mystery to most. He’s an elusive loner who is often grumpy. He’s never been anyone’s knight in shining armor, but when a friend of a friend is in a bind and needs help, he offers up his spare bedroom.

Ana’s new roommate has a quiet strength she begins to count on, and he makes her feel things she isn’t prepared for. She feels desire, and a new excitement, but right now she needs to focus on herself and trying to get her life back on track. The problem is the growing attraction between them just keeps getting stronger. This deliciously sexy man has become her protector, her friend, and a temptation she can no longer resist.

Grant wants Ana to be his, but feels put in the friend zone. She’s not looking for a relationship, but things are extremely complicated between them. Soon he’s in over his head with her, and she owns his heart completely.

Wild For You (Hot Jocks #6) by Kendall Ryan is an emotional, sweet standalone story about friendship, trust, intense connections, and explosive chemistry. This book was fantastic and is now my favorite in the series. Grant is a character you can’t help love. He’s dreamy, swoony perfection!!!

There’s always some kind of comfort for me in reading a book from KR. I know I’m going to get a cute couple and a sweet romance. That’s what I got with Wild for You. I did have some issues but, it was still an okay read.

Ana was in an abusive relationship with Grant’s teammate and he ends up helping her out and they end up as makeshift roommates. I was really loving the set up of it all. Two people who had chemistry together under one roof. I couldn’t wait for the tension to spill over. A little over 50% is when I started to find myself getting annoyed with Ana.

She was selfish and cold to Grant at times. I get that she has just got out of a relationship but so many choices she made when it came to Grant didn’t really seem right. Especially in some moments, I felt like she took a bit too much of Grant’s kindness. She knew what he wanted and where he stood.

I did enjoy some of this book, but not all. I still like the author, it just wasn’t my favorite from her.

Squee! Wild for You is another awesome story in a series full of them. Each one of these books are unique, lighthearted, steamy and an absolute pleasure to read. I simply can't get enough of these sexy and swoon worthy hockey stars and the women who manage to capture their hearts. I am completely and utterly addicted to them.

This story follows Grant and Ana. Grant is the captain of the hockey team and a natural born leader who's always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. When he feels that his teammate's girlfriend may be in some trouble, he doesn't hesitate to jump in and help. But when he discovers just how bad her situation is, he brings her home to stay with him. There with him, she is able to heal and bring herself to sever the abusive relationship that she was in. The sweet friendship between these two quickly turns physical and feelings start to develop. The only problem? She isn't ready to jump into another relationship so soon.

I absolutely loved Wild for You! In fact, it might just be my new favorite in the series. I will say Ana frustrated me at times though. I kept screaming in my head at her to open her heart to this kind, gentle and loving man. He was the perfect hero and had a heart of gold, but yet she kept pushing him away. It took her a while to get there, but once she did, she was all in. If you're looking for a story that's heartfelt and beautiful, then be sure and pick this one up. 5 stars for Ana, Grant and Wild for You!

FIVE SLOW BURN STARS for Ana and Grant 💙🖤!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

One more Ryan's book that I absolutely love!

"Wild for You" is an emotional sports romance book with friends to lovers and slow-burn trope.

Ana and Grant's relationship is everything!

It all started slow and sweet and from friends they became lovers.

If you love previous books from the "Hot Jocks" series, then you'll absolutely love this book!!!

Highly recommended!!!

P.S. I can't believe that "Taking His Shot" is the last book from the "Hot Jocks" series?! I'll truly miss this world!

Grant Henry is the captain of the Seattle Ice Hawks and we’ve met him in the other books. He’s always quiet and very much keeps to himself. He is also the old grumpy man on the team since he is in his 30’s.

Ana Walsh, we also met in the other books and she is the girlfriend of the moody hockey player, Jason. Who has always seemed like a real jerk in the other books and low and behold he is ABSOLUTELY a HUGE jerk! She came from Vegas with Jason to Seattle for his career and as a massage therapist, she was able to find a job. Things with their relationship had gotten increasingly worse with the decline of Jason’s temper. One last straw is broken and she calls Grant for help.

I feel like most of the books in this series have been slow burns and this one was also but I really enjoyed the relationship development with these two characters. I completely understood Ana’s need to be independent but I did feel bad for Grant at times.

If you have triggers with domestic violence this might be one to be wary of even though it wasn’t terrible it was unpleasant, for sure.

I really enjoyed Grant and Ana's chemistry. Grant managed to be somehow both grumpy and adorable while Ana broke him out of his shell.

This book was perhaps a bit too short to tackle some of the heavy topics it included properly. Still, I really appreciated how some of those issues were presented.

What I didn't particularly like in this story were all the time jumps. As I mentioned before, this book would've benefited from being longer. But because the author was trying to cover a lot of issues and a lot of character development in a rather confined page-frame, it didn't quite work for me. Sometimes the time jumps are necessary but here they really felt more like a shortcut and they took me out of the story rather than reeled me in.

Still, it was one of the better installments in this series, at least for me. Teddy/Sara and Asher/Bailey remain my fav books but this one is not far behind.

Trigger warning: domestic violence, (past) abusive relationship

DNF 75%

What a disappointment ! My first discomfort came pretty soon into the book when I learned that the h was the teammate's GF. What happened to the rule of NEVER laying hands on a teammate's girl?
(Even if said teammate is a total asshole...)
That didn't start well for me.
But I kept reading because Grand is a really nice guy, a little grumpy and all and seeing him being SO kind was cute.

But my main issue with this book is that it ISN'T romance.
There is no love nor path to love between the H and the h.
Sense of duty ? YES
Responsibility ? YES
Making a wrong right ? YES
Making someone feel good ? YES again

But for me there was no love between these two.
The more I red the more careless about them I became... until my breaking point around 75% of the book. I won't tell here what it was because I don't want to spoil anything. It seems I am in the minority here (being mad about that twist in the story).

Family Of Your Own
The elusive hockey captain you’ve been wondering about finally gets his story and you will LOVE HIM!

The totally hot, quiet, older and wiser hockey team captain finally found his reason to smile. Ana is going to give him everything he’s ever dreamed of having.

Ana is stuck in an abusive relationship until the day she’s had enough and finally walks away. With no family close by and an ex who is trying to find her, Grant gives her a safe place to stay.

It’s only supposed to be temporary until Ana gets on her feet. They quickly fall into a domestic routine and become friends. Grant is the kindness she’s always desired but never knew existed. He’s a big, intimidating guy but a total teddy bear when it comes to her. It’s easy to fall in love with him.

Grant and Ana have chemistry and share an intense connection. Physical intimacy was inevitable, but Ana is not looking for a relationship. She wants to make sure she can stand on her own before she ventures into anything new. If only her plan was that easy. An unexpected surprise changes everything. She wants to be independent while he wants her to be his everything.

Ana is strong and resilient. A young woman who wants to do better and be capable of standing on her own. Grant has a bit of a hero complex. He loves caring for others and fixing their problems. He’ll have to learn balance between being supportive and letting Ana take the lead.

I have enjoyed every book in this series. Each couple brings the heat and a whole lot of love. This is a one sitting read that will leave you smiling with a happy heart. There are some surprise moments, interlaced with some drama that will keep you reading until the last page. A great couple that deals with relevant issues and finds their HEA.

Love often comes from the family of your own making. The people who support you unconditionally and love all of you. Grant and Ana wouldn’t want it any other way.

Meh. Spoilers ahead:

This one started off pretty promising. The writing was going well and all. But seriously, Grant had zero flaws and the patience of a saint. It not only made him unrelatable, but way beyond my ability to suspend disbelief. He was ok with everything. So to me he really had zero personality. The growth of the relationship was pretty non-existent. It's basically like she moved in and they started a relationship together...then after she finds out she's pregnant (and unsure of the baby daddy) she decides she needs to try independence for a while. Between the alternating POVs, the time starts jumping ahead wildly and then the sex stuff becomes a lot more graphically described (and a LOT cheesier and not hot). Grant just rolls over and takes everything. She seems to use him for sex, but doesn't seem to care for him beyond that. Whatever Ana wants Ana gets.... throughout the whole book. Ana wants sex. Ok. Ana's pregnant and it may or may not be his? Ok. Ana wants to be friends? Ok. Ana wants to live there, totally taking advantage of Grant's every kindness? Ok. Ana wants to move out and be independent? Ok. Her every freaking mood, desire, craving, need is met unconditionally. I'm surprised this man isn't confused and frustrated beyond belief. She says she wants to be friends and doesn't want to jump into another relationship....but she sure jumps his bones after he does nice things for her. And she doesn't protest one bit when he lavishes her with all her material needs either....maybe inwardly, but she sure accepts readily. She broke the poor man's heart and we never hear anything from him about it - even though it's dual POVs! And then everything just skips ahead skips ahead skips ahead. Birth, new parenthood, married. The end. I didn't feel like there was really any love there. And the ending for the ex was pretty convenient as well.

I was just less than impressed, and I'll usually accept a lot from these types of romances. This one was just way too rushed and way to generic.

Sweet, passionate, and hopeful!

Wild for You is a steamy, heartwarming story about the troubled, hardworking Ana who needs a little tenderness, sympathy, and a safe place to stay and the broody, sexy, man of few words Grant who’s more than happy to help out someone in need.

The writing is smooth and sultry. The characters are kind, dependable, and supportive. And the plot is an engaging, slightly angsty tale filled with life, love, family, friendship, vulnerability, chemistry, tension, attraction, emotion, and romance.

Overall, Wild for You is a charming, absorbing, seductive tale by Ryan that comes complete with endearing characters, a lighthearted storyline, and a swoon-worthy, happy-ever-after ending.

Thank you to Kendall Ryan for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

2.5 H is perfect; h needed to grow up stars

This would have been a 4+ star book except for the issues (see "what I didn't like so much" section for details) I had with the h, how she handled things, and the author's choices around the "surprise baby" issue. BUT I loved the H in this one - he was literally the perfect man.

Grant, the enormous captain of the Ice Hawks professional hockey team, is the strong silent type. His teammates don't know much about him - even the fact that he was adopted - and he is okay with that as he is not big on sharing. He is big on being a good person, and he proves it in the way he leads the team, the way he treats people, and the charities he supports both personally and professionally. When he encounters one of the newly acquired team members verbally abusing his gf, he is sickened that anyone would behave that way towards such a gorgeous and seemingly sweet woman. He admits to himself that he is also attracted to her, but since she is with one of his teammates, she is off limits for sure.

Grant hasn't dated in a long time - as a veteran on the team, he outgrew the puck bunny stage long ago, and he thought by this age (32), he would be settled down with a nice wife and some kids. That is all he has ever really wanted; when he finds Ana hiding away at a team social event crying after her bf embarrasses her in front of everyone, he finds himself uncharacteristically offering not only his services in getting her home safely, but he also gives her his phone number and tells her she is welcome to call him anytime if she needs anything. Little did he know she would need something the very next day.

Ana moved from her hometown of Las Vegas to Seattle when her boyfriend was traded, and since the move, things have been really difficult. For the first year of their relationship, Jason was a fun-loving guy that gave her attention and treated her well; this last year, things changed dramatically and everything about him and the way he behaves towards her has gone downhill. The final straw is when he throws a glass object at her head, shattering it all over the floor of the kitchen and causing her to cut her foot on one of the shards. Though she barely knows him, Ana senses that Grant is a good man, so she calls him when she can't get in touch with her only friend (also her co-worker) right away.

Grant drops everything and rushes to help Ana, and he finds her huddled in the kitchen, the scene telling him more than he wanted to know of the story. He immediately tells her to pack a bag and grab her small dog and come with him. When the hotels Ana tries to stay at won't allow dogs, Grant offers his place since he has a spare room that has never been used since he bought the condo 3 years ago. Ana is at first a little hesitant, but she begins to trust Grant and accept his help when she realizes he is the kind of man he seems: truly caring and giving.

But what will happen when their roommate situation becomes more intimate as they both share more about themselves? And when Grant comes back from an away game to find Ana huddled in his bed because of the fierce storm raging outside, will they give into the passion that seems to be brewing between them? What then will happen when Ana gets some very unexpected news?

What I liked:
--- Grant is my fave H of this series by far - the strong but silent and hidden depths kind of man; devoted and loyal; and HOT
--- Revisiting of previous characters in the series
--- Steamy goodness was yummy

What I didn't like as much:
--- Ana annoyed me with her immaturity and her wishy washy, selfish crap; her ex was clearly an a-hole, and then she took advantage of Grant in that she led him on and then strung him along; as someone who has been in an abusive relationship (mostly emotionally)
--- The way the author handled the "surprise pregnancy" situation
--- Pet peeve: the cover models do not match the descriptions (Grant is supposed to be bulky & significantly larger than petite Ana)

Overall, this was a solid story line that could have been better with less immaturity angst and more appreciation of the H. The steamy goodness was nice (a little more high-level than in other steamier books by this author, but still good). There was not much hockey at all in this one (some references to practice and he had to go on the road for some games, but hockey was really not part of this story beyond that and the whole ex being the H's teammate).

Plot --- 2.5/5
Main Characters --- 3/5 (Grant = 5/5; Ana = 1/5)
Supporting Cast --- 4/5
Steam Level* --- 3.5/5
Violence --- yes, with potential triggers (domestic abuse of the h - NOT by the H - is described after the fact; there is a video that goes viral/hits the news feed similar to the whole Ray Rice fiasco)
Language --- yes
POV --- Dual

*Note that steam level is not a rating so much as a how hot was it: 0/5 - clean; 1/5 - mild (nothing descriptive); 2/5 - 3rd base action/1 home run; 3/5 - now we're getting somewhere (a couple of full-on steamy scenes); 4/5 - yes please! (erotica territory); 5/5 - they did EVERYTHING in this one, y'all

Oh Grant, my heart bleeds for you! You sexy stubborn but oh so exceptionally sweet man. You are the definition of SWOOON! Ladies your heart is not ready for dedication and affection of this normally brooding angry man. He is absolute perfection.

Who loves a roommate romance? Me me me 🙋🏼‍♀️The relationship between Grant and Ana is a special one. A strong but broken heroine and a loving protective hero, add some explosive chemistry and you have the perfect romance book. A relationship where both characters blossom and become better versions of themselves. Through the ups and downs of Ana’s crazy life, and some unfortunate events Grant is even more determined to make it work. He is attentive to all of her needs, he’s willing to put in the hard work... he is the exact opposite of what we all expected and it makes him that much more lovable.

This book will make you feel all types of ways. You’ll remember the importance of family. You’ll read about domestic abuse, you’ll swoon, your heart will feel like it’s breaking, but in the end all will be healed and you’ll be absolutely bursting with LOVE.

I absolutely adored this book. A must read of 2020. Can’t wait for Jordie’s book

As much as I’m living for this series, Wild for you has been my favorite to date. It really hit me hard and made me feel so much for Ana. She’s been through so much and I won’t spoil anything for you, you just have to read for yourself. There’s been little about Ana previously but we finally get so much more and we finally get her POV.

Grant...the mystery man that’s quiet and hard. We finally, FINALLY learn all about Grant. We see him thaw, he’s no longer an Ice King with a certain little lady around.

OH MY GOD! I want to squeal and yell how amazing this story is. I want to rave about all the parts but I CAN’T without spilling the beans. I am absolutely smitten with Grant! Any woman would be a fool to pass him up. He’s so kind, gentle, loving and the absolute PERFECT MAN with the biggest heart ever! Just trust me when I say this is an absolute must read! 5 incredibly addicting and heartbreaking stars!!!!!

Book 6 in the Hot Jocks series and each book can be read as a standalone. This time, it was Grant’s turn to have his story told and let me just say that Grant and Ana’s story was amazing. Grant was there for Ana when she needed a friend after her relationship turned bad and she needed to leave. The way he stayed there for her even when she kept him at a safe distance was a little frustrating to watch because you can see the love he had for her. He wouldn’t let her push him away. Loved their whole journey from friends to lovers. Great read and I can’t wait to read what is next in the Hot Jocks series.

honestly, ninety-nine percent of this was ana taking advantage of grant and him sitting back and being way too fucking chill about it. it's a big ole yikes from me, dog.

also, throwing a 'cute' epilogue at me won't make up for the rest of the inconsistent, terribly and incredibly frustrating mess that I had to read through.

4.5 stars!!

Loved this book. I’ve had some luck with good books lately. Thank fuck! I find myself really engrossed in Ryan’s sweet and sexy stories. I’ve read plenty of them in the past but I’m trying to clear out my kindle with some old books and I’m so happy to take chances on them.

Grant and Ana were amazing characters. I love the centering around hockey trope. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a hockey romance, one of my favorites.

Ana is in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend, Jason, who happens to be one of Grant’s teammates. He was a douche and Grant always had a thing for her since he met her over a year ago but never acted on his feelings. But when he witnesses Jason acting like a prick to her in public, he rescues her and gives her a place to stay for awhile. It’s supposed to be temporary but we know how that goes. Eventually their hot chemistry is undeniable and things get complicated.
Can they make their living arrangements work? Or do their mutual feelings complicate everything?

Also, another complication arises, but Grant steps up, all in. I loved this dude. He was such a sweet and caring man. He always referred himself as the ‘loner’ but Ana opens him up and changes his ways, or at least brings out a side he never let show and I was here to see it. Together, they were explosive, burning up the pages. 🥵

I loved the side characters, mostly all of them. Especially Owen and Jordie and Becca and Georgia.

There isn’t really much about this book I didn’t like. It was a sweet and sexy sports romance with just a touch of angst to keep you needing more of these two. The end was wonderful but also, there’s a hint of what’s to come in Jordie’s book which I’m now interested to read.

Kendall Ryan is a one-click author and I can’t wait to devour all the books I’ve still yet to discover in my library.

Everyone needs a Grant in their lives. He has spent most of his adult life alone and single. Now Ana is living with him because of her abusive relationship. All she is looking for is friendship and nothing more. She doesn’t want to rely on anyone. Wants to do it on her own. Living with Grant is only temporary. But the more time she spends with Grant the more he wants her to stay. He has always felt an attraction to her even when she was with Jason, but he never did anything about it. He was raised better than that. He has opened up to her more than anyone else he knows. Has told her things no one else knows. When circumstances change he realizes that he wants her forever. He wants to protect her. He wants to make her his. But she is still adamant about wanting to be on her own. He doesn’t push her hoping she will decide that she wants to be with him also. He can only give her time.
Kendall Ryan has a way of writing that makes her characters so real. You feel what they feel, you cry for them, you laugh with them, and you feel a part of their lives. You fall in love with every guy in this series. Each has their own story but I have to say Grant is my favorite. I have waited for his the most. How could a grumpy, stubborn, single guy find his forever? Who will break through his walls? Who will understand him? Ana was his answer. She too realized that you don’t have to do everything by yourself. You can rely on someone if they are the right one. Grant was her one.

4.5 Stars!

Wild For You is the 6th book in the Hot Jocks Series, but can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel. Ana and Grant’s story is captivating and such a sweet and unexpected read!

Wild For You follows the story of Ana and Grant. When we first meet up with Ana, she is in a rocky relationship with one of Grant’s teammates. On a particularly stressful night out with the team and their families, Ana’s boyfriend goes off the rails and Grant gives her the shoulder she needs to lean on. He offers her his number and tells her to call him, if she ever needs help. Little did he know that call would come sooner rather than later…Their situation was only supposed to be temporary; offering her a place to live and a chance to get back on her feet. But, Grant makes Ana feels things she hasn’t felt before. She’s not looking for a relationship, but Grant might just prove to be far too tempting to say no to…..

Overall, I really enjoyed Wild For You. I appreciated the way the author dealt with the difficult and sensitive material. She made the characters feel real and raw. I loved how big Grant’s heart was and the protectiveness he felt for Ana. He was so sweet and so patient. He gave Ana everything she didn’t know she needed. And Ana…I love how independent she was, even if it was frustrating at times. She wanted to take her time with Grant and not rush things. The chemistry between Ana and Grant was definitely off the charts, but had an amazing slow burn. I loved all of their will they/won’t they moments and all of the ups and downs in between.

Ana and Grant’s story hooked from the very first page and I easily finished it in a single sitting. I loved the characters and the story-line. I loved seeing all the familiar faces from stories past. I loved the sense of family from Grant’s team and how supportive Ana’s father was. I fell head over heels for Ana & Grant and loved seeing them tackle the cards that life dealt them. Their story had my emotions all over the place in the best possible way and I loved every single second of it.

This book was by far the best in the series. It had a great story with lots of emotion and heart. It pulled on the heartstrings with a powerful love story. It was real and raw. My heart wept for grant. Everyone needs a man like Grant. Together Ana and Grant are explosive and the chemistry undeniable. The story gripped me from beginning to the beautiful end.

The latest standalone in Kendall Ryan's Hot Jocks series is a treat for everyone who loves the hero who doesn't think he's a hero kind of guy. From the first page, you see how Grant takes care of business and the people around him. When Ana needs a place to stay, of course Grant says yes. Their solo journeys and shared experiences are emotionally charged, steamy, and heartwarming.

Ana and Grant

This was just an ok read for me. I didn’t enjoy it as much as some of the others in the series. The story moved along at a good pace and I did like the characters but I just didn’t live certain aspects of the story.

The beginning of the story Ana is living with one of Grant’s teammates. He’s abusive to her and she leaves him. She starts a friendship with Grant which is all well and good but their relationship is never really clearly defined. They sleep together twice and aren’t even technically together. She gets pregnant not long after the first time. The timing is close and she’s not sure if Grant is the Dad or the abusive Ex is the Dad. Ok-but then no one seems to want to find out the truth and that was super confusing. She buys 2 DNA tests. The Ex refuses to take one and so does Grant because he “doesn’t care and will love the baby regardless.” Then the Ex dies and the story ends without knowing who the biological father is! Ugh Really?! Ana feels pretty sure it’s the Ex but still...no one took a test to find out for sure?! I just felt sad and cheated as the reader. There was so much indecision on Ana’s part. She didn’t want a relationship so close to the end of the last and wanted to stand on her own two feet but I’m screaming at her to stop standing in her own way too. Most of the book they are not really together so it was hard to grab onto any connection between them. And then finding out the baby probably (because we don’t know for sure) wasn’t even Grants just made the story a bit more unsatisfying for me. I still enjoy this author and this series I just didn’t love this one.
