Jodi Ellen Malpas first appeared on our horizons in October 2012 with a fairly quiet release for This Man which began, rapidly, to snowball as readers, reviewers and bloggers all started to rave about this wonderful, bossy, demanding and a little bit crazy new hero – Jesse Ward, Lord of the Sex Manor. By the time January came around anticipation for the release of the second book in the trilogy, Beneath This Man, had reached fever pitch and it’s no different this time as we’ve waited with bated breath for the thrilling conclusion to this amazing trilogy and let me take a moment here to lay some of your anxieties to rest. This Man Confessed is just about everything you could have ever possibly hoped it would be and yet more.

This was really very special. I was so looking forward to losing myself once again in Jesse and Ava’s sexy world and it absolutely didn’t disappoint. For me, this erotic trilogy stands above ALL others. I love Jesse and Ava SO much, I feel so incredibly connected to them and I am now finding it hard to let go. I’ve got to know them so well, become so invested in their story that they have become quite simply unforgettable. They’ll be an incredibly hard act to follow and this book most probably will leave you with the book hangover to end all book hangovers. I know it did for me!



I read slowly, trying to savour every word, sadly watching the progress on my Kindle edge ever closer to 100% knowing that I was going to be leaving Jesse & Ava behind, not wanting to part with them. The sun even graced me with its presence as I read this one, something that doesn’t happen very often in England, and I now have the fondest memories of reading this one sprawled on a sun lounger, completely lost in their world as reality just fell away and all that existed for me were the words on the page. Not many books are able to do this to me – this one really is that special.

Jesse is back in all his fresh water minty loveliness, Lord of the Sex Manor, an impossible, bossy, demanding, uber-possessive, neurotic yet so very, very sexy ex-playboy. He’s still overbearing, unreasonable, challenging but, heck, how much do I love him?


Ava’s still swearing like a sailor and prompting Jesse to yell at her to watch her mouth. The sense fucks, reminder fucks, sleepy sex – they’re all back to be joined by the compromise fuck and sleepy twilight sex. We have incredibly ambient kinky sex at The Manor, a super sexy game of strip poker and, as usual, Jesse is confidently dominant and trying hard to stay in charge.


This is an angst ridden journey with lots of shocks and gasp out loud moments and plenty of despair for the two of them which all makes their Happy Ever After all the sweeter. Jesse has a troubled history full of pain, guilt and sorrow that he will finally confess to and Ava is helping to heal all that hurt and suffering. She’s his little piece of heaven and she’ll never allow him to fall back into that harsh, hollow past but you can be sure that if there’s an easy way to do things, Jesse & Ava won’t do it this way as we embark on yet another rollercoaster of a journey with them. They’re both incredibly argumentative and both want their own way and they’re always quick to anger and shout at each other and watch out for a thrilling, pulsating conclusion so enthralling that I could hardly breathe as I read it – thankfully all followed by a wonderful epilogue.

This is, quite simply, just a beautiful love story. It all felt so incredibly real to me – nobody is perfect, everybody has flaws, they face difficulties together, they scream and yell at each other, fight like cat and dog, overcome those difficulties together and, most importantly, they love one another wholeheartedly and, however painful that seems to be, that is the overriding factor here – the central theme to the whole wonderful story that is the This Man trilogy.

Jesse is incredibly intense – oh to be on the receiving end of all that intensity that is Jesse Ward. His love for Ava has completely overwhelmed him and he is terrified that he could lose her and this is what's causing all this protectiveness and his possessiveness that is driving Ava crazy! This may well be the most beautiful love story ever written.

I very much enjoyed the writing style and I feel like I’ve been in safe hands – I felt that this story was meticulously mapped out and that Jodi knew from the very first page of This Man, exactly where this story was going, where every character fitted in and how it was all going to end. The story and characters strayed true throughout and this, for me, is the hallmark of a talented writer. Even though I am sad to leave behind Jesse & Ava, I am looking forward to whatever Jodi does next. I’ll definitely be reading it.


So, in conclusion, this is quite possibly the best erotic romance trilogy EVER written, the most intense hero I think you will ever read and this book is up there contending for my book of the year for 2013. This is special – you are all going to love it.

I just. Why. Why did I read this. Why. Why did I keep going. Why don't any of my friends like me enough to take me aside and tell me to stop hating myself and take some time to love me enough to stop punishing myself with terrible books that I know are only going to cause me agony? WHY DON'T YOU LIKE ME, FRIENDS? YOU COULD SEE ME OVER HERE WITH THE BOOK. WHY, FRIENDS? WHY? I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS, FRIENDS.

Just don't read any farther than this if you don't want to know anything about these books, okay?

- Jesse and Ava are still both the worst people on the entire planet. She deliberately does things to make him angry in fits of pique. They stay together even despite continually mounting evidence that they bring out the ABSOLUTE WORST in each other. How many people have to tell Ava, "Oh, yeah, Jesse's the most laid back guy in the world," and she's like, "Uh, I don't know that guy," until she realizes, "MAYBE I MAKE MY HUSBAND INTO A MONSTER" and also for her to realize that when she deliberately, oh, I don't know, RUBS HER VAGINA ALL UP ON ANOTHER DUDE TO MAKE HIM MAD, she also isn't being a lovely person when she's with him?

- And yet, it's not that I think that all characters have to be likable people, because they don't. Characters being bad people is fine, because it's the author's choice to make. It's just that the author chose to make these two people COMPLETE SHITHEADS, and then illustrate them being COMPLETE SHITHEADS in the same pattern SIXTY FOUR TIMES with absolutely no variation or redemption.

- AND THEN. FINALLY SOME RELIEF FROM THE SPACKLED ON PILL FORESHADOWING. But it's fine-ish, right, because these days, it's all a competition about who can write the most Alpha-y-ist Alpha, and it's ROMANTIC, really, that he wanted to steal her pills to keep her around forever, fine, whatever, and even though Ava has known for HOW LONG by the point he finally tells her, NOW SHE decides to get mad, like with the whole Sarah thing, where she knows stuff but for some reason can't just USE HER ADULT WORDS, and leaves, and finds out she's pregnant, and tells Jesse she's not (NOT OKAY) and schedules an abortion without telling her husband (REALLY NOT OKAY) and then goes out drinking...

and this is where the author crosses the line for me into making Ava into just a... what? What is Ava? I mean, as a character? She's still a NOTHING! As far as character traits, I mean. Why do two dudes want her? She's just shitty, all around. Just awful and shitty and terrible. She doesn't seem smart, or funny, or interesting, or any good at all. She's just a convenient mouthpiece for whatever twists and turns the author wants done at any given moment in the plot. She's worse than nothing. She's just a doll or a prop for the author. If there's any development at all in this book, it's gone into Jesse, and Ava's just a floppy cock holster for Jesse's enormous wang that has the magical capabilities to make nothing Ava orgasm on command. Or at least, I assume it still does, since I started skimming the ridiculous, convoluted, and impossible to picture/grasp/comprehend sex scenes way back in book one, because ha. No.

- Matt. Yeah, that gets sealed up and tossed aside way back in the beginning. Guess we were done with him.

- The thing with Coral. What a poorly written scene. I had to keep reading it over and over and still didn't actually grasp who was holding what paper and who was showing what to who. I mean, I get that super brilliant Ava actually totally figured out what was going on with her super duper mom instincts and SOLVED THE CASE right there with her Special Eyes, but actually grocking what was happening physically in the scene? No. Could not.

- Mikael. Oh, shut the fuck up. I can't even make a solid case in this book for ONE person falling for rag doll nothing blob Ava on sight, let alone two.

I can't stand to read one more book NOT ONE MORE BOOK where everything the author has is poured into developing the dude and then you look over at the lady he's supposedly head over heels for and...



COME ON. She's not just there to advance your plot, she's a CHARACTER, TOO. She's got to be SOMETHING WORTHWHILE for it to be believable that this amazing guy that 98% of the book's resources are put toward detailing, or he's only 12% amazing, 88% idiot. HE CAN'T BE THAT AWESOME IF HE'S FOLLOWING HIS PENIS INTO A BIG CAVERN VAGINA OF COTTON CANDY AND MUPPET ARMS.

I finally got my hands on 'This man confessed' and i'm still riding on central Jesse cloud nine. I have never been more excited about a release of a book, the story of Jesse and Ava and there unrelenting relationship wraps up in this epic finale and I worshipped every page.

Jodi ellen Malpas goes on my list of favourite authors she has two hugely redeeming qualities, number one: she is gorgeously British and proud of it, delivering (and not apologising for) her wonderful British-isms and number two: she delivered to the world Jesse Ward, a character never to be forgotten and never to be created again, so with all that gushing being said here are my over zealous book thoughts, welcome to 'This man confessed' as seen through my eyes ...

What's it all about ...
Well if you have got to this point and still haven't realised 'This man confessed' is the last book in a trilogy where we are thrown into the world of Jesse Ward and Ava O'Shea. At his point we have been through a myriad of ups and downs to form one hugely epic love story. 'This man confessed' takes right off from its predecessor 'Beneath this man', Jesse and Ava are now taking steps to further their relationship and commitment to each other, the story continues to uncover secrets, future stumbling blocks and more sexual encounters than you could shake a stick at.

What I loved?
To start with I was impressed with the consistency of story, and character development. The author stays true to the original premise and I found her writing continually witty and engaging. I can't deny that the biggest pull for me in this trilogy is Mr Jesse Ward, hands off readers he's MINE, I can't gush or talk favourably enough about this fictional hero, he's as sexy as he is infuriating and I'm more than a little sad to say goodbye. I also loved the drama and suspense of the series, secrets were popping out about the characters right until the end, this author knows how to keep her readers entertained. This book hands, feet and any other body parts that you want to put down has the sweetest, most gorgeous epilogue I've ever read, I left this story with a huge smile and a hankering for more of this authors writing.




Final thoughts ...
The final book in a trilogy is always tinged with a little sadness for me, when you invest in characters and love what an author does to make a story come alive, it is inevitable that the reader wants to savour the last moments. I couldn't have enjoyed this conclusion more, if you haven't started this series ... What are you waiting for jump aboard readers you won't won't to get off central Jesse cloud nine.

With all that laid out on the table, you know I love this series and Mr Jesse Ward our impossible, overbearing, demanding, unreasonable but equally gorgeous, commanding and protective lord of the manor ...

This review is likely to contain spoilers, by which I mean they’re everywhere.

If I could give this book zero stars, I would.

I don’t know what I was thinking when I decided it’d be a good idea to read this. I mean, after all, I wasn’t exactly a fan of the first two books. Can I plead temporary insanity? I’m going to chalk it up to it being one of those cases where it was so bad I couldn’t stop reading—and that goes for the trilogy as a whole. Apparently, it would seem, I’m an even bigger glutton for punishment.

Anyway, I’m just going to jump right in.



This drivel is not romance. Nothing about this book, or trilogy rather, is romantic by any stretch of the imagination.

This Man Confessed opens up on the day of Ava’s wedding—two whole weeks after the end of Beneath This Man. As usual, Jesse has gotten his way. Shocking, I know. They’re getting married at the Manor. Ava has had no involvement in any of the wedding planning, no input whatsoever. No shower or bachelorette party for this bride-to-be. She’s rather blasé about the whole affair. I guess that’s to be expected since, you know, she’s too busy worrying about her unsuspecting family stumbling upon something they’re not supposed to see like, say, an orgy. They’re under the impression that the wedding is taking place at Jesse’s country retreat. Ava’s poor mom is so clueless and proud of the venue, praising it to the high heavens, that she’s taken to giving tours to wedding guests.

By this point, I was already bored. It was a lesson in patience just to get through the wedding day. It was overly long and boring, if I’m being honest. It was multiple chapters of nothing but filler: preparations, Jesse acting his usual psychotic self, drama on top of drama, and a million other useless things, only for the actual wedding to be glossed over—but not before we get to watch Jesse march down the aisle to snatch Ava from her father’s arms and handcuff himself to her. Up until that point, I thought, just for a moment, that Ava would finally see the light, smarten up, and leave his crazy-ass at the altar. Then I thought, “Who am I kidding?” Next thing you know, the scene skips to the reception, where more crazy antics ensue.

Speaking of crazy antics, why are Ava and Kate friends again? Kate is one of the worst friends imaginable. She can’t even manage to be a decent maid of honor. She was drunk long before the wedding even began. At one point, during the reception, Ava escapes to the bathroom, only to discover that Kate is busy having sex in one of the stalls and the guy most certainly isn’t Sam, her current boyfriend.

I was pretty much disgusted with Ava’s behavior from start to finish. After Jesse confesses to stealing her birth control pills, which she already knew, she finally decides to get mad. She rants and raves about how she doesn’t want a baby and “how dare he do this to her?” I like how she puts the blame all on him, as if she wasn’t a willing participant each and every time they had unprotected sex. Let’s not pretend it was a one-time incident either. It happened on numerous occasions, multiple times a day.



As is her habit, she does the mature thing by running away from her problems because, yes, that clearly solves everything. Before she leaves her new husband, she slaps him across the face. By the way, they haven’t even been married an entire week by this point. She eventually gets it together enough to have her pregnancy confirmed, for all the good it does. Without an ounce of regret or remorse, she lies to Jesse about the results. Later, back at Kate’s place, where she’s been staying, she treats herself to a big glass of wine, her first of many throughout the book. Her life is horrible, don’t you know? Being married to a billionaire is hard work. Never mind the fact that she will never want for anything, has the job of her dreams and, oh yeah, she’s knocked up. She deserves a drink, dammit. To hell with being pregnant. Kate being the smart, awesome friend that she is, decides to help get Ava out of her funk by taking her to a bar, where Ava gets completely wasted. I’m talking stumbling, falling-down drunk.

I can understand her initial shock about the pregnancy, but at the same time, given her strong reaction to the news, throwing a pity party for herself by indulging in alcohol as a way of revenge does little in the way of her likeability.



This is Ava we’re talking about, however. We all know she won’t stay mad for long and will run back to Jesse before it’s all said and done, where they'll find something else to fight about. Rise and repeat.



Both before and after they reconcile, several chapters are dedicated to Ava’s incessant whining about how her pregnancy has ruined her life. The most important of which is the fact that she can no longer perform oral sex without getting sick. She turns it into such a big deal, you’d think the world was coming to an end.



I think most of my dislike boils down to the fact that Ava is a terrible heroine. She possesses more bad traits than good. It seems all she’s capable of is drinking, arguing with Jesse, being a pushover, and getting easily deceived.

This Man Confessed is aptly named. Jesse confesses to so many things, many of which seem to come straight out of left field, that it was hard to keep track of them all. Each confession is somehow more outrageous and ridiculous than the one before it. It seemed like the author was trying too hard to redeem him, to excuse away his overabundance of crazy, to somehow make his behavior okay. I’m sorry, but that’s a little hard to do when I read a scene like this:

“‘Zero, baby.’ I’m snatched from my chair before my brain filters the final call of the countdown, and I’m on the floor, wrists pinned above my head and Jesse straddling my waist. My eyes are wide and the restaurant is silent. You could hear a pin drop. I’m staring up at Jesse, who is unashamed and most unconcerned by our surroundings. He’s got me sprawled on the floor in a restaurant. What the fucking hell is he playing at? I dare not even look away from him. I can feel a million sets of shocked eyes drilling into the spectacle Jesse has created. I’m mortified.

‘Jesse, let me up.’ I wouldn’t put much past him, but this? This is way past unashamed. Fucking hell, what if someone tries to pull him off me?

‘I did warn you, baby.’ His face is awash with amusement, while I’m simply horrified. ‘Wherever, whenever.’”

Yeah, that’s totally normal. There’s nothing wrong with a grown man physically restraining his pregnant wife by sitting on her (more or less) in the middle of a crowded restaurant until she relents to whatever it is he’s demanding of her. Is this simpleton for real? Her only concern is to question what may or may not happen should someone come to her aid. These two not only deserve each other, but they both belong in the loony bin.

I never thought I’d say this, but the excessive amount of sex was not to my liking. Several pages were dedicated to each scene, and trust me, there were plenty. It was as if the book was stuck in a repetitive loop. It became so tedious that I started skimming/skipping them altogether. Don’t even get me started on the drama. There was so much, most of it manufactured, that I was a little dazed by the time I finished reading. It was like a soap opera on steroids.

As with the other two books, the editing could use some work, but I guess that’s par for the course.

The epilogue, told from Jesse’s point of view, was awkward. I don’t know many five-year-olds who talk as if they’re fully-grown. The little boy is already a mini Jesse: “Mummy! Watch your mouth!” Needless to say, there were plenty of cringe-worthy moments to be had while reading their happily ever after.

This Man Confessed leaves no stone unturned, no skeleton in the closet, puts our heroes through Hell, but for the first time neither runs or lose hope. They promised each other forever and unconditional love, passion and surrender, not to mention unrestricted access...

Anytime, anywhere...





The Lord of the Manor is getting ready to marry his Lady and nothing will stop him in his quest.

‘I need to get ready. I’m getting married, you know.’ ‘You are? Who’s the lucky bastard?’ I smile and pull myself away from his body again. I need to see him. ‘He’s a challenging, neurotic control freak.’ I reach up and cup his rough cheek. ‘He’s so handsome.’ I whisper, searching his eyes, which are watching me so closely. ‘This man stops me breathing when he touches me and fucks me until I’m delirious.’ I wait for his scorn, but his lips just press into a straight line, so I lean up and kiss his chin, working my way to his lips. ‘I can’t wait to marry him. You should probably go so I’m not keeping him waiting.’

Crazily in love, over dramatic and protective, romantic, slightly psychotic, jealous, control freak, kind, playful, sexy, arrogant, damaged and almost broken, hold together by his Ava, Jesse is the male specimen to end all males. It's nature's answer to female despair and the main reason for damaged female reproductive organs around the world!





In this 3rd and last installmen,t in the wild ride that is This Man Series, Ava and Jesse will lay their souls bare and they will have to overcome the last hurdles to their rocky road to happiness. Unapologetic and unashamed, deeply contented and in love, Central Jesse Cloud Nine, various degrees of f*ckings, countdowns, dirty-mouthed, THEIR NORMAL . And let's be frank, being completely normal is highly overrated!





If you haven't started this series, I don't know what's stopping you. I know Jesse is hard to swallow and Ava was a little bit of a coward, but they grew and kinda of matured. Let the Lord sweep you off of your feet and take you in his Manor to run havoc to your senses and change the way you view relationships forever...

....right up to their much deserved happily ever after!

5 Lord of the Manor Loving Stars!



So it’s Monday night at midnight... what am I doing? Thats right, I am awake clicking the refresh screen on amazon to see if ‘This Man Confessed’ is live so I can stay up half the night and read it! I was THAT EXCITED! And let me tell you all- it did not disappoint. The best book in the trilogy by far!

Before I get into my review, let me introduce you to my favorite crazy man JESSE WARD, and all his fabulous qualities that make me love him so!


That about covers it. Get ready to take a ride on the crazy train with Jesse and Ava!
This may not be a conventional review, but this isn’t an conventional book. I couldn’t possibly review it properly without spoiling the hell out of the story, so it will be a little un-proper.

At the end of ‘Beneath This Man’, Ava and Jesse decide to get married. That is right where ‘This Man Confessed’ starts off... If you think you know what is going to happen in this book, think again! There was so much drama, ups and downs, secrets, confessions, and one curveball after another. And I loved every single page!

Jesse Ward is not your average man. He is just AMAZING. All his little sayings that just make me squeal with delight!

Jesse is my favorite crazy mother fucker. I seriously love this man! He is perfection. I don’t care that he told Ava to watch her mouth over 25 times in this book- it’s endearing to me. I just can’t get enough of him! He was better in this book than ever. Jesse in the bedroom is like no other. He always has the power. Always. Anytime, anywhere. LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!!! I really don’t see how people can say they don’t like Jesse... what is not to like???

Now Ava on the other hand, Ava got under my skin in this book. There were times I wanted to throttle her. She really pissed me off. But she did redeem herself, so thats something.



Ava and Jesse’s relationship has been tested more times than I care to count. They are strong together- if they can endure all they’ve been through, they can get through anything.



When I was finished with this book, I felt completely satisfied. I had no unanswered questions, the epilogue was perfection. I am a little sad that Jesse and Ava’s story is over, but I was so happy with how it ended. This is one of my favorite trilogies. It’s intense, beautiful, emotional and full of drama- Note to the author: I will read ANYTHING you write woman! ANYTHING! Such an amazing journey- READ IT AND LOVE IT!!! END OF-

Ava and jesse ? i couldnt have loved them more. True to the book's title, this installment basically revels EVERY secret that makes the Man- Jesse ward..Ava's jesse.

from heartbreak to unbreakable love.This book has it all..with shocking revels and almost a complete original plot ,readers are left shocked as more secrets sweep trough pages one by one.... .

with the wedding and the couples unexpected pregnancy i found this book to very VERY similar to 50 shades freed.And just when i think ive figured out the story line, the plot twists in the most unexpected way ....

when all the scorned lovers and painful pasts decide come back...they know Jesse and ava know they have huge barriers to break .

I truly loved the entire series!
Jesse Ward will always be in my top five book boyfriend list.
This last installment was sheer perfection.
We get all of our questions answered in this book and the love shared between Jesse and Ava has evolved so much, it IS UNBREAKABLE!! :)

Jesse's over protectiveness with regards to the babies makes for a lot of the humor in this book and also just made him even more lovable.
His need and total devotion for Ava is captivating.

"You've taken me completely,baby. You've swallowed me up and drowned me in your beauty and spirit. You know I can't function without you. You've made my life as beautiful as you are. You've made me want to live a worthy existence - a life with you. All I need is you - to look at you; to listen to you; to feel you. To love you."
"I need you to let me do all of those things, Ava. I need you to let me look after you forever."

"Let me see those eyes." I show him what he wants to see. " Why do you always demand to see them?" I ask.
He only smiles mildly, but his greens twinkle madly. "Because when I look into them, I know for sure that you're real."

OMG I just loved that mural!!!! So,so, so romantic!!!!!

It is not only Jesse who is the obsessed one but also Ava. I loved that they knew each other so well.
I loved that Jesse knew what Ava was insecure about. Would he still love and desire her once she got bigger from the pregnancy? Would she still have his utter adoration once the baby was born?? You'd expect Jesse to have that worry, not Ava. It just made me love her more.

Finally the two completely understand each other and there is nothing the two can't overcome together.

Loved the Epilogue!!!! Perfect ending to a fantastic story.
I will hold Jesse and Ava in my heart forever!!! :)

I came across these books from Amazon a while ago...then found out that there was going to be a 3rd book. So... I waited to read them until the 3rd book came out..So when the 3rd book came out...I bought it...this trilogy has been Sitting in my kindle for a while..I finally started to read them...ughhh...

Big..,BIG.....mistake!!!!

Ok... Don't kill me... But...I had a hard time with these books....

~Now... From the 1st book to the 3rd...it's only been about a month In a half!!! 3 months tops...with all this Madness & Craziness going on between Jesse & Ava....~

The only good thing I can say about these books is...the first 3 or 4 chapters from This Man were ok... When Ava met Jesse... After that...it went downhill pretty fast!!!!

I mean Ava is Stupidly annoying!!.. She doesn't demand answers for anything... And Jesse just bulldozes her... Can you say psycho!!...omg...
I want to yell at her...& say... Ask him questions and wait for the answers!!! Keep your damn legs closed..too!!!...lol(you shouldn't want to think that in a "love" story) & I think she might Be an alcoholic too!!...lol all her glasses of wine!!..she might as well set up a damn I.V. with it!!...lol but then again...if I had Jesse chasing after me...it would drive me to drink too!!!...lol & when she finds out she's preggers... She gets all freaked out...ok... What did she think would happened when you don't take your pill & have lots of Unprotected sex... How can you be so shocked!

she lets Ava get shit faced....& she lets her get man handled...not once does Kate have a talk with her about leaving him... Or asking her if she thinks her relationship is normal...or try to hide her ass when Ava leaves him!!! or at least try to talk to her about the drinking while pregnant...& even when she knows her friend is having a hard time with Jesse & left him... she still keeps that damn Van Jesse got for her!!!!
what kind of friend is that!!

Jesse is Manipulative, Domineering, a cheater, a Liar & an asshole!... Oh yeah ...& he's a stalker too!!! I just have 3 words for you...THE AVA WALL!!...he must have camera's all over his place...ughh... How can she not get freaked out about that!!

Oh god... The wedding!!!
They get married at the Manor!! She hates that place... But that's where they say their "I do's"...how romantic of Jesse....To think of Ava on her very special day(yeah right)... He slaps some handcuffs on her... In front of her family... And throughout the whole wedding reception wont let her go!!!! Totally disrespects Ava's parents!!!... He just doesn't give a shit!!! I mean who wouldn't want a wedding like that!!!!...he didn't even want to take pictures!!..

Maybe I should let myself cool off a tad before writing this review.. Nah, I'll dive in while it's HOT. Yes, this book is HOT. If you loved Jesse Ward in This Man or Beneath This Man, I will be astounded if you don't fall fan-crazy in love with him more in This Man Confessed. He's still got his uber controlling (even more-so in ways) attitude and his "Ava, watch your fucking mouth" hang up but in this book, he's absolutely swoonworthy. He's done a lot of growing up and he knows what he wants....a life with Ava and he will do anything to protect what's his.

So, when I started reading this little gem I was a tad.....


But it took absolutely zero time being a tad (or a LOT)....


But, being a totally SPOILER FREE REVIEW.... I must say there was a lot of....


Hold onto your hats ladies, this book delivers a shit-ton of new information. All the Jesse secrets come out and new conflicts arise in their relationship. Rest assured, you will have a VERY difficult time putting this book down. It's rather long (yeah) and I ate up every word. When I was feeling all sweet and mushy from all of their romantic fluff- BAM, a new twist arises, knocking everything off its axis....



This book is a serious rollercoaster ride of emotions and you will love every minute of it!

In case you've forgotten the whole reason for swooning....


This books picks up sort of where Beneath This Man leaves off....Don't read spoiler if you didn't read the first two books, otherwise, you're safe reading. they're getting MARRIED.
It captures you from the get-go their love for each other. Jesse's need for Ava is borderline unhealthy. We all remember those missing pills..... no spoilers here.



I almost wish I had done a re-read of the first two books prior to diving into this. The main reason is there isn't a huge recap of previous events so I found myself thinking "Who was Matt...or Dan...What was Ruth Quinn's deal? What was up with Mikhail?" So if you don't remember those characters, do a re-read as they're back in full force!



For the size of the book, the pacing was awesome. It definitely wasn't like you were sitting back bored waiting for the next shoe to drop. It had a fair mixture of heat (more than fair share), suspense, OMFG moments, but in the end, it all ties together and you're left thinking "Why didn't I figure all this out before?" It's a full circle love story with all kinds of twists and turns. It's very hard to review this book as so much happens, I'm not leaking any spoilers. It needs to be experienced and I would refrain from reading a lot of reviews for that fear of those surprises ruining all the fun of it.



The ending is awesome. In fact, the epilogue is in Jesse's POV. Getting in his head was spectacular. Watching their story go full circle was one hell of a ride. This series will rank up there as one of my favorites for sure.

Did Ava make me uber upset at one point in this book? Hell yes, and you will know what I'm referring to when you get there in this book. But even she has grown up tenfolds over time and her unfailing dedication to their functionally dysfunctional relationship is commendable. As hot as Jesse is, his uber controlling borderline arsehole (shout out to Britishisms) nature would send most women for the hills.

So, go forth and enjoy this one. You won't soon forget it.....

Reread on March 23- March 25/18

I’m so glad I reread this series in preparation for the new book that is now out! I can’t wait to see what Jesse and Ava have been up to in the last 16 years!!!

I was surprised at how many details I forgot since I’ve read this four years ago! One thing I do remember is the devotion that Jesse and Ava have for each other! Ava finally gets to prove her love several times in this instalment, and I am glad! It always seemed like Jesse cared more and Ava would run away at the sign of trouble. That wasn’t the case in book three!

I could talk all day about this unique couple; but I’m so eager to get to the next book FINALLY!!!!

I loved being back in the crazy world of Jesse and Ava. Once again Jodi Ellen Malpas does not disappoint in creating a masterpiece full of hot sex, lots of drama, and a love that is loyal and true. The relationship of Jesse and Ava may not be normal to our eyes; but it is "their normal." I adore how they came to that conclusion, that they will never be like everyone else, and that is ok because they created their own bliss. The love and need that they have for one another was heart warming in my eyes, especially because I have watched them grow from the beginning of this often times; chaotic journey. The intensity that Jesse and Ave share is off the charts, and holy cow; the sex scenes in this book melt the words right off the pages!!!LOL! This couple darn well know how to make love and f**k on a whole new level then most. They indulge in all sorts of different types of sex again, but my favorite hands down was the new: "sleepy twilight sex."

I was impressed that even though this was the last book, there was still a lot of loose ends that were tied up beautifully and reveals that were brought up right up until the very end. Some of those reveals were jaw dropping to say the least! There is never a dull moment in the world of Jesse and Ava. I will say that there was a point where I wanted to commit a murder with the way Ava was behaving. It was touch and go for awile there, and I swear I became so absorbed in the story and Ava's behaviour that if I could have bodily harmed her; I would have!! I am pleased to say that it took her awhile, but eventually she did smarten up! Thank Goodness for that, as I was about to have a heart attack! LOL

There are only a few books where I become so absorbed in the story that I become so involved my emotions run away on me. This is one of them. I have to say that this was a bittersweet book for me, because I enjoyed it thoroughly-especially getting answers and even closure on a lot of situations. I am truly sad though to have to say goodbye to this unique couple. I will miss Jesse and his controlling,possessive ways. He is a character that I am sure will be very hard to beat.
I loved the epilogue that was done in his POV, and it was five years down the road. It was a pleasant surprise to get a glimpse of their life in the future.
Now with great sadness, I say goodbye to Jessa and Ava; and I wish them nothing but happiness, lots of sleepy sex, good times...and let us not forget...many jars of peanut butter!

There really are no words to describe how much I loved this trilogy as a whole. It made me want to scream, cry, laugh, got me hot and bothered, made me angry, made me sigh in happiness, got me hot and bothered...oops did I say that one already?! The conclusion was everything I hoped it would be. We finally got to the bottom of Jesse Ward. I was so much happier with Ava the second half of the book. The first half I was ready to reach in and smack her around and say




But, she finally came around and I felt she finally gets a clue and starts acting more mature thank goodness!

These books were worth every minute spent reading!

5 “What A Crazy and Awesomely Sexy Ride” Stars

Let me just deep breathe for some seconds.

*inhale*, *exhale*

God, this was a hell of a ride.
If you thought they couldn’t be worse than in the previous books, well, you are thoroughly mistaken.



This book starts two weeks after the end of Beneath This Man, so if you've read the series you know what’s happening. And yes, it is a pretty beautiful part of this book.
Unfortunately, it lasts very little time and soon the psychoses of both characters return: and in full force.
Jesse’s possessiveness and controlling issues are annoying Ava more than ever and Ava… well, she just have the gift of driving Jesse crazy. Not always in a good way.
In this final book of their story, we have new “things” happening that will change completely the course of their lives and we start to unravel the mystery of Jesse’s past.
And if a lot of things will change, there’s one that always remain the same: their feelings for each other and their physical connection.



I could never fall for a guy like Jesse in real life. I mean, I would want to kill him in the first five minutes, and then would run away and never look back. But as a book character he is a great alpha male. Not to mention sexy as sin.
Ava is pretty good too although SO frustrating. Not that I can blame her, they both are.
In overall, considering the story line, the character development and just how the book made me feel in general (crazy, but SO ADDICTIVE!) this is definitely a series worth reading.
I can’t believe I waited for so long to read it.

Now, I have to take a break or something and go read some Sesame Street books, because this left emotionally tired and drained.
And I think I’ve caught some of their craziness. This is more or less how I’m feeling in this moment;

3, 2, 1, Zero....End of!

This is it...the end of the series and Wow...what a ride!



The story starts off only two weeks after Beneath This Man and if you've read that, you know what is happening. It is wonderful and...sooo beautiful. And then we get some Jesse confessions but we all knew it was coming. Even though Ava had a good idea, she still comes unglued and rightfully so.

They separate ~again~ and that leads to more drama ~again~ but now we have someone who is after Ava. Naturally, Jesse flips out and unbelievable things take an even worse turn. *It's scenes like this that make me keep reading this series.* Because just when things seem bleak, something wonderful comes out of it.

There's even more confessions and we finally get to know *supposedly* all of Jesse's secrets and boy, are there some doozies! I would love to spill them all but I won't do that to you. ;)

This series is not for everyone though. It is over the top and ridiculous and never in a million years would I ever stand for someone like Jesse in real life but it does make for an interesting story.

The crazy thing ~for me~ wasn't even the over the top stuff...it was all the secrets. Mainly from Jesse but Ava kept things from Jesse as well. It's funny because in the beginning, it seems as if she's the normal one but the more we find out, the more we realize how similar they are. And just when you think all the secrets are out...there's more!




Of course, there is ton of hot sex...I mean, we are talking about Jesse and he is very creative. The good thing is that even though they still name their types of sex (Love Sleepy Twilight Sex), the desperation is gone and they are truly making love. Don't worry...there's still plenty of passion and some rough and hard stuff!

And we do get a lot of answers. We find out about Sarah and Coral and Ruth and if Kate stays with Sam or if she goes with Dan? And who is Sally dating and finally, what in the heck is going on with Mikael!

I was shocked at some of the answers and not surprised at others. I love what Jesse did with The Manor and The Ava Wall. But...my favorite, favorite thing was the epilogue...that was quite lovely and what a great way to end the series!

Holy freaking cow!! What an amazing ending to a fan-freaking-tastic series!!! I don't think I can be in love with Jesse any more than I am right now!!! AH-mazing!! I just finished and I'm already having withdrawals. I love Jesse and Ava and am so sad the trilogy is over.



The third, and sadly last book in this series picks up right after Beneath This Man ends. Ava has agreed to marry her Lord, and Jesse being his neurotic self he needs this to happen sooner rather than later. So everything is put together quick and a beautiful ceremony takes place at, you guessed it, The Manor.



"You've taken me completely, baby. you've swallowed me up and drowned me in you beauty and spirit. You know I can't function without you. You've made my life as beautiful as you are. You've made me want to live a worthy existence-a life with you. All I need is you-to look at you; listen to you; to feel you. To love you. I need you to let me do all of these things, Ava. I can't say the whole day goes without a hitch, but that's about all the spoiler I'll give away for the day except, Jesse does a little jig on the dance floor. Admit it, every time Jesse dances some JT you totally get this in your head right?!?! :)




As you gathered over the last two books, Ava keeps "losing" her birth control pills. I hope I'm not spoiling anything here, but it was sorta obvious that wasn't the case. This just ends up being obstacle one for Ava and Jesse. It was so hard for me to read parts of this, but I did understand the confusing situation. I almost feel like if I tell much more of this I could be spoiling so I think I will opt out, haha.



So, I'll just give you a hint of all of the excitement...car chases, scorned lovers, crazy deliveries from unknown people, of course, Jesse and Ava seem to get in their own way, break ins, admirers that go too far, meddling families, and so many confessions it will make your head spin but at the same time will make everything come together and explain Jesse so much better. And even one episode of Jesse running out of peanut butter, GASP, lol!! Don't kid, this is a serious thing for Jesse.

Like I keep raving about, this series was amazing!! I see an opportunity for maybe a spin off with Dan?? Maybe Sam and Kate?? Or even Drew?? I honestly think Dan is the best bet out of these though.



Jesse and Ava still had scorching chemistry. Jesse and his sexy mouth can be just plain swoon worthy. The one thing I found hilarious was how he didn't want Ava swearing but he would turn right back around and swear right back at her while getting on to her. I love how Ava tried to keep her independence from him, but at the same time some of it was just childish on both ends, lol. I guess that's just them being crazy in love, they actually drove each other crazy, lol!!



Obviously don't read this book if you haven't read the other two first, but if you love over the top crazy possessive alpha men with dark pasts who fall in love with a woman who tries them at every turn even though she's madly in love with him and fight multiple obstacles together, this is totally the series for you. There was drama at every turn, either from Jesse's past or from Jesse and Ava themselves. It takes some time, but eventually they figure everything out and are determined that as long as they are together they can conquer anything/everything. Even if Jesse has to pay someone off, beat someone down, or come up with some kind of F@ck to make it right, he'll trample anyone who tries to come between them and will do it wherever, whenever and to whoever he feels it necessary and I love him all the more for it!!

I'm struggling to find the words, my brain feels like it's had a work out and my Heart is fit to burst.....I cried and sobbed......just WOW.....this series has given me one of the best reading experiences EVER.

Miss Malpas has given us a gift, the gift of Jessie Ward He was everything we have come to know and LOVE and so, so much MORE!!!!! He's dominant, controlling, strong, protective, loving, caring, gentle, warm, vulnerable, playful, fun, witty, he made me laugh out loud many times with his antics and dialogue, just marvellous....ABSOLUTELY MARVELLOUS!!!!!!

And just for the record, so we're all clear....he's ♥MINE♥

So, as the title suggests there are confessions to be had, many more CONFESSIONS, more than I expected? Some things can be guessed (well I guessed one thing only) but others...... WOW is all I'm saying.

The revelations explain so much about our beloved Jessie. His extreme reactions and behaviour, the lengths he goes to in all areas of his life.

Jessie and Ava share a love and passion for each other that is physically and emotionally so powerful, it makes it truly beautiful to read and glimpse into their world.

Our intense LOVE story develops at the perfect pace, creating suspense and intrigue, lust and passion, and of course some HOT SIZZLING OFF THE SCALE SEXY TIMES. Miss Malpas can certainly write about sex, all kinds of, 'flavoured' sex!! **wink wink**

At times Ava was a little lost which made her frustrating, but I loved her anyway, she has charm and class and Britishness. And this book just oozes Britishness to perfection with the knickers and the bl**dy and so much more.

Of course we still had all the other characters we have come to love in this story, Kate, Sam, John and Drew, Sarah (not so much love for her) to name a few, new characters emerge and all of them are linked and weaved into the story so fabulously...it's truly magical.


And Jessie isms, there are many but my favourite.......

It was said as often as you would expect. And it made me smile. ♥


Miss Malpas gives us a real treat at the end of this book and it's the Epilogue, delicious and sweet and beautiful......Simply Stunning. And that is the best way to sum up this book and, in fact, the whole series and most importantly Jessie Ward.......

The story starts with the couple’s wedding day and then drops you off the love roller coaster as soon as you board. For the first half of the story Ava drove me insane but Jesse Ward FINALLY won my affections in this final installment, he was adorable and sexy the whole book!

Sadly, Ava is still in danger and we soon find out that that there are three, yes three psychotic ex woman of Jesse’s past/present wrecking havoc on the couple. Jesse and big tough John are completely stumped as to who is threatening Ava’s life. COME ON THREE CRAZY EXES? Oh and add one crazy ex-husband and Ava's ex Matt to the mix and the story enters ridiculous territory.



”This Man has thrown everything at me, and I still don’t plan on going anywhere. Unbreakable.”

Jesse’s past is completely revealed and things get crazy for the couple. Luckily, their love can withstand any storm.

As for that epilogue, it was truly superb!

I actually found the final book more enjoyable than the first two despite the whole birth control stealing ickyness(for the love of God, WHY?!



This is still an absurd over-the-top version of the "Billionaire corrupts a young girl" trope...
I still wanted Eva to run away.
I still find the whole set up ridiculous.
...But it was a wild ride, and I had fun.

‘In here.’ He holds it up sheepishly. ‘You should also be taking folic acid.’
I gape at the book being dangled in front of me and watch with a mixture of astonishment and amusement as he starts flicking through the pages. There are pages folded over at the corners, and I think I even see a glimpse of a passage highlighted with a neon pen. He knows what he’s looking for, and I can do nothing more than stand and stare as my beautiful, neurotic control freak finds it.

Gitte: What an absolutely bloody perfect end to the crazy, emotional and passionate ride that was the ‘This Man’ trilogy. We’ve had so many theories and questions, and finally we’re let into some pretty heart breaking and tragic secrets. Secrets that answer every single question, and leaves us with an aching heart and a complete understanding of The Lord, The God, The Sexy and Cocky Man that is Mr Jesse Ward.

No spoilers from us as per usual, but you will LOVE the conclusion. It will have you melting, swooning, laughing and crying. Oh, and there are plenty of ‘WHAT?!’ moments too, moments that will have your heart racing and feeling fearful, at the same time. Jodi hit a homerun with Confessed. Pure class! This series just got better and better with each instalment and is without doubt one of my all-time favourite trilogies….and don’t get me started on how much I love Jesse….sigh!!!

Jenny: Couldn't agree more Gitte. What a brilliant end to a trilogy we have both completely devoured. And you're spot on, because this Trilogy had it all. Questions, intrigue, passion (oh dear god…the PASSION!) - I had so many conspiracy theories going into this installment, my head was spinning. And we were afforded all the answers we've been dying to get to the bottom of. Yep, EVERYTHING was answered and we were handed a whole heap more as well.

No spoilers at all! Everyone needs to experience This Man Confessed in the way the author intended it and I truly hope readers are afforded the opportunity to do just that because I can tell you there were a lot of surprises for me - I did a lot of OMFG's, cried, laughed and fanned myself. What a fantastic read this was. And yes, one of my favorite trilogies that's for sure!

In This Man Confessed we have Mr Ward at his trampling best. Sweet baby Jesus….. that man! I'm devoid of enough words to describe him.

"Oh yes, there he is, my husband, looking like he's just landed from planet fucking perfect."

Indeed he did. And he took the express flight to planet perfect at that! Even though I wanted to throttle The Lord of The Manor at the start of This Man Confessed, this man made me laugh, cry and floored me with his tenderness and love. I can't say enough how much I love this man!

Gitte: So, we start with a wedding, a wedding done Jesse style and we all know what that involves; trampling, controlling behaviour and bucket loads of passion and emotions.

“This man stops me breathing when he touches me and fucks me until I’m delirious. I can’t wait to marry him.”…”He used to cripple me with just his touch. Now he cripples me with his touch and his words. I’m destined for a life of crippling pleasure, melting tenderness and heart stopping emotion. He’s going to incapacitate me at every turn.” – Ava

“Do you feel that?.....It was made to love you, Ava…It swells with happiness when I look at you. It splinters with pain when we fight. And it beats wildly when I make love to you. Maybe I go overboard with my love, but that’s never going to change. I’ll love you this fiercely until the day I die, baby.” - Jesse

So expect to be happily sitting back enjoying that ‘Mario’s Most Marvellous’, watching this happy event unfold whilst completely crushing and clenching. Then….bam the floodgates open and the reader gets swept away in crashing currents of intensity; a thrilling eye opening ride that has so many high’s and low’s by the end I was exhausted. The epilogue though…BEST EVER!! It was GENIUS which you’ll read for yourself! Jodi surpassed any expectations I had and she just nailed it. After three books of drama, obsession, tragedy and passion, I finished with THE biggest smile on my face and tears of laughter still rolling down my cheeks….Actually some of those may have been from the impending loss of leaving behind Ava & Jesse too.

Both Jesse and Ava do some real soul searching, and I suppose, come to realise their own faults and limitations. Ava comes into her element and her strength shines in Confessed. A true heroine. As for Jesse, he just astounds me.

“We’re not conventional baby. But we’re special. What we have is really special. You belong to me, and I belong to you. It just is. It’s not natural for us to be apart, Ava.” - Jesse

Aaaaah, Jesse, well we all know he’s challenging, controlling and obsessive. But I love him for it; Ava loves him for it. The two of them circle each other through the magnetic pull between them. Neither can leave the other alone, never mind over long periods of time. Despite Ava trying to assert herself, needing the distance to sort her head out. The pair of them piss the other off at no end. In reality though, they need each other to breathe, to survive and to live.

In Confessed we see Jesse’s vulnerability, his intense need to protect what’s his because of his past. We see and feel his turmoil and understand his struggles. Some scenes had me in absolute tears as he exposes that vulnerability and uncertainty to Ava.

“You keep my heart beating, baby, but you also make it fucking stop….You said you couldn’t live without me…Then stop trying to kill me off.” – Jesse

“This woman is my fucking life.” - Jesse

Jesse also made me laugh so much in this instalment. I highlighted like crazy but for fear of spoiling the final visit with them, I can’t stick the highlights in here. Just know that this man is on bloody fire with his banter, his thoughts and his wise cracks. That, added to his passionate, arrogant and controlling alpha maleness…well…how on earth can you resist him?!

We find out just why Jesse is the way he is. Not immediately though. We still go through him hiding his past which consequently leaves Ava hiding things from him too. It all comes to a head as people are revealed for who they are and a thrilling drama ensues along with some pretty devastating truths.

“Why did you do it?” – Ava

Because I love you….Everything is because I love you.” - Jesse

Both Ava and Jesse frustrated me at times, they both make mistakes and their decisions are clouded by intense emotions, guilt and regret but ultimately love. However, the pair of them reminded me so many times why I adore and love them as much as I truly do. They are unbreakable!

“Tell me why the fucking hell you did this to me!” - Ava

“Because I wanted to keep you forever.” – Jesse

There are just so many ‘melt your heart into a puddle’ moments in Confessed.

“Today my heart started beating again. Today you became mine.” – Jesse

If you ever doubted the love Jesse and Ava have for each other, well doubt no more. These two will always have a special place in my heart as will Jodi for giving them their voices. Blindingly brilliant conclusion to a fantastic series…FAB-U-LUSH Author!!!

Jenny: I have to start by reiterating what you said about THAT EPILOGUE! Honestly, it was one of THE best epilogues I have read. It exceeded all expectations and I loved it so much I had to go back and read it again straight away. Perfection!

"There are a million things about this man that make me despair, but there are endless things that make me adore him. Some of those despairing things I even adore."

Now Gitte, you and I always chat about books as we're reading them and again when we've finished and we have burned up the phone lines throughout this series and no more so than during and after reading This Man Confessed. We can tell you readers...you will NOT be disappointed in how this series wraps up. Jodi Ellen Malpas has done a stellar job in this Trilogy and talk about bringing it home in this one! Well done Ms Malpas! A true winner! We are still discussing elements of this book and laughing or crying as we do so. Just brilliant!

We learn so much about the man himself. So much clicked into place in this installment. Some revelations astounded me, some shocked me, some crushed me. Some I saw coming, some completely blindsided me and I definitely ran the gamut of emotions throughout this whole book.

"…right now when he's pouring his love into me through our mouth contact, is his way of finding the strength. It's his way of ensuring that I'm real before he off loads a past of pain."

The passion between Jesse and Ava is second to none. You feel every emotion, get hot and bothered over the physical exchanges because these two totally burn up the pages and have a front row seat through all their ups and downs. Ava and Jesse are learning about one another and naturally mistakes are made along the way.

To see the growth of these characters throughout the series. To witness their struggles, their heated exchanges, their heartbreaking moments and to have it all culminate and conclude in this outstanding book....just wonderful!

Jesse and Ava gave me their all. You feel with every breath you take that theirs is a love to withstand all. The heat, the passion, the intensity, the hilarious banter - these two had me in fits -and Jesse's humour was on fire! Their tender moments…sigh…talk about melting your heart.

I'm still on Central Jesse Cloud Nine and I may never leave! Once again I have to agree with my blog buddy. This Man Confessed. Was. Brilliant. Just. Bloody. Brilliant.

What a fantastic ending to the end of this wonderful series!!!!
Ill be first to admit that this, Jesse and Eva frustrated me at times during this series but now knowing what I do... Everything makes perfect sense and all his actions were somewhat Justified-ish

I wouldn't have my Lord, my Sex God, any other way!!!!!



I'm just glad that I gave this series the time it deserved and Jodi Ellen Malpas did an excelled job in keeping every single one of us Intrigued, Aroused (a lot of the time), frustrated, confused and made us all feel a whole lot of love for This man...



Questions were answered and finally we understand This man and his over controlling ways..

This Man Confessed, WOW of WOW this book, words cannot describe the way I felt. I was sad, happy, totally in love, Totally turned on and left in a pool of Sappyness (is this even a word?)
This is what this Man does to me!

These two, no matter that they had to face are destined to be together, through the good, the bad and the ugly...
They are Soul Mates to the Core and its quite evident that they are the reason that each other lives, they keep each others hearts beating....

So let me start of by saying, I enjoyed this book far more than I could have imagined. It was wayh better than the first two books!
I hated the first two books, because quite frankly it was shit. Totally draged out and giving out nothing kinda shit. But this book?

BEAUTIFUL!!!



But then again, most of the things did piss me off... a LOT.

The annoying parts!!

NO ONE, And I mean it NO ONE fucking says to each other 'I'm going to trample this one, I'm going to trample that one' I mean fucking jesus! Get a grip you two looney bins.

They were like overgrown kids in a relationship. His controlling nature wasn't even normal! I MEAN FOR FUCKS SAKE WARD. YOU KNOW A PERSON IS INSANE WHEN HE HANDCUFF'S HIS WIFE ON THE WEDDING DAY

Lets make friends if anyone says that to me... ever, GOD HELP THEM.

THEY PULL EACH OTHER'S HAIR. I have never done that in my entire childhood, forget ever doing it later on.

The epilogue; No children talk that way. At least be realistic on that part author.
Read the whole book for the kids and then what do we get? JUST A FUCKING STUPIDLY ANNOYING EPILOGE.

I liked the story drama of this book. NOT the emotional drama.. because that was just over the top but the whole story drama of this book was pretty good! I enjoyed it

LOVED IT. We got sooooo many answers, all the answers to the questions which filled my head.
This book had crazy drama, and e amazing story *yes, I know.. was shocked myself!!* and a beautiful HEA~ :D

Jesse calmed the fuck down at last in this book, He was totally less insane compared to the first two books.

I'm not going to do my full review format because I skimmed most of this and I don't want to give any incorrect information. I wanted to complete the trilogy but was convinced I wouldn't enjoy it (like I did years ago when I first read it) based on my experience re-reading the previous two.

I'm glad I at least skimmed it though. I feel as though much more happened in this one than in the 2nd book, and I enjoyed the epilogue. I remembered really liking it, and I'm glad I at least read that. It gave good closure and a sweet HEA.

So! If you enjoyed the first two books, I'd recommend finishing them off with this one because I think it's probably the best out of the three.

There have been some many wonderful reviews that I just thought I would highlight my thoughts on this truly fantastic love story!! I also don't want to give anything away so my suggestion is to hurry up and read this book, this entire series. It will definitely be one of those series that I will reread over and over again.

I started out like this cause we were starting a BR- The Pretty Pink Ladies/Lisa Jayne and Christy, and then Farah and Mammamia joined in too. We were getting Jesse- The Lord of the Manor.....I am still swooning and it may never stop!!


The Wedding....


Then Ava drove me crazy for awhile-


Then....


Finally....


All throughout the story- Jesse-isms were plentiful.



Their love is full of Jesse style....sense, reminders, sleepy, compromise, quiet, and retribution- I love that you can just say those words and die hard This Man series addicts know what you are talking about!! Their love was so very passionate and consuming. I just absolutely loved their story more than you can imagine.



Jesse had lots of confessions in this book. So many twists and turns and shocks. How can a story be so perfect and so telling and so riveting that I still have it in my mind? The only explanation is that Jodi Ellen Malpas is a FANFUCKINGTASTIC author!!! I know that I should WATCH MY FUCKING MOUTH but she truly is fabulous and I have to say that-

Things seem to be going smoothly for Jesse and Ava. She knows she will never be able to completely tone down the control freak in him, but she knows he his trying to be better for her. Soon, Ava finds out more about Jesse involving his past. Can she accept Jesse and all of his secrets? Or will she walk away from the only happiness she has ever had?



Oh Jesse... just when I think I can't possibly love you more... I FREAKING DO!!

He was so über sweet. I could not stop swooning. The things that this man would say! *sigh* But don't worry. He was still plenty demanding and oh so yummy. He was also a barrel of secrets that were finally revealed. We get to see who Jesse really is and why he is the way he is. Like I mentioned in my review of the previous book, I love it when Jesse opens up to Ava. I melted completely. He loves Ava so much that, yeah, it can be a bit too much at times but I absolutely adore him for being that way. I know alot of people think he is crazy (and I admit, I thought he kinda was too), but now that I understand him, I think he is just plain wonderful! I LOVE him! End of.



Jesse may not have seemed so freaking insane in this book, but the story made up for it by introducing some pretty cray cray characters. I couldn't believe the madness that was occuring. It was more entertaining than watching a soap opera. There were moments where I was literally shocked by what was happening. I was speechless. There were just so many things we had yet to learn about Jesse's past. As well as the twists that occured. It was AWESOME!!

Ava finally turned around a bit for me. Although, in the beginning of this book, I totally disliked her. She was so annoying and selfish. But once she saw the light, I actually started to like her. She stuck with Jesse through thick and thin. I greatly appreciated her doing that instead of running away. She even took care of him when he needed it. It was so lovely to see that.

The ending was SO friggin beautiful! I didn't want it to end. I will miss my crazy neurotic lovable Jesse. I just love him too much!! I was so happy with how everything concluded for them. I felt the series became better with each book. I swooned, I laughed, I teared up, I got angry, and I smiled so big. It was a fantastic read, and if you love Jesse as much as I do.... YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!!
