These shorts, giving us a glimpse of what’s happened to the sub characters in the Heaven Hill series, are amazing. But sadly they are hard to review without giving the short story away. But I’ll start by saying Kudos to Ms. Brisco for writing these touching, heartfelt shorts that most definitely touch the heart.
I just love Harley. She is the tough, outgoing sassy twin. Ever since her sister’s kidnapping when they were 10, Harley has also become the protective sister who is still riddled with guilt from that awful day her sister was taken. Harley now has a very protective side for those she loves. Bishop is the star QB at their school. On the outside he’s everything the popular, star football player should be. But on the inside, not so much. Only Harley knows his secrets. Their story is heartbreaking and explosive yet tender and loving. I highly recommend these shorts to anyone who has read the Heaven Hill MC series. They are all simply outstanding additions to the series. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars.
Ok, every time I think Laramie Briscoe has given me a favorite couple in these Heaven Hill Shorts, she gives me another one. This time it's Harley and Bishop. Harley is the opposite of Justice in almost every way possible. She's wild and carefree, or at least she seems that way. She's loud where Justice is quiet, and she has no problem speaking her mind in most cases. So, what does this motorcycle riding wild child have in common with the high school quarterback? They both have things they don't want others to see. The story is a quick read, so I won't go into any more details than that, but suffice it to say that these two may very well be exactly what the other needs. I don't know if I like Harley and Bishop better than Justice and Caelin, but it's a close race. I'll just say that Laramie Briscoe has given me another favorite couple, and I can't wait for the rest of Harley and Bishop's story.
Harley is still coming to terms with what happened to Justice when they were younger and the role that she played in it. She carries a lot of guilt that she hides from everyone. Bishop Is the star QB of the football team. They're from two different worlds but a chance encounter on the side of the road one night changes everything. On the surface they seem so different but deep down they both understand that appearances are deceiving and not everything is how it appears to be. I LOVED this story and I CAN'T WAIT to continue on their journey in the future. These shorts give us glimpses of ALL of our favorite characters as well as teasing us with peeks into their future which is AWESOME!! I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the Heaven Hill Series it's AMAZING!!
Sweet yet a bit painful storyline revolving around Harley and her "one and only", Bishop. She's the wilder, bolder, louder, bike riding one of the twin daughters of Heaven Hill MC, and as a twin is very close to her more quiet sister. Harley knows what she wants in life, even if she is still in high school, or so she thinks, but she does know that she does want the hot, handsome, football playing Bishop. She knows him more than anyone else, since they share all of their hopes, dreams and secrets, and one secret in particular could end them; or maybe not.
I love these short stories and can't wait to get to Harley's full length story. Her ride is bound to be rough and wild, and probably a little danger thrown in for measure. Laramie knows how to hook you to a series and these shorts are definitely the appetizers to the main courses.
WARNING: If you have not read Fury DO NOT read this book!
Harley is book 4 in the Heaven Hill Shorts series and dam I didn’t know I needed this story until I started reading it.
This short story gives us an insight into how she handles the events that have changed her forever even years down the track.
Harley has her own demons and while she thinks she is happy living in the shadows she secretly wants to be out in the light with the 1 person that has stolen her heart, image be dammed. He never knew what real family was, could Harley’s be the family he always dreamed out?
I personally LOVED this story. I am so addicted to this series, the new Heaven Hill generation has made me fall in love with the series all over again.
I can't say this enough - IF YOU HAVE NOT READ FURY - STOP and GO read that first! Now if you have read Fury, we can continue with this review. Harley's story has me intrigued as to what will happen with her and Bishop and it will be hard to wait for their full story to happen. I had this quick read done in one sitting and it gave me a little bit more of an insight into Harley but it was just a glimpse that left me with a big craving for more. This quick read doesn't tell me much about Bishop as he is a new character to the Heaven Hill series but I have a feeling that he will fit right in. If you have been reading all of the short stories, then you will enjoy this one as well and I would recommend it to others.
Love that these shorts are filling in the blanks! These short novellas are a glimpse into the sub characters that we always wanted more information on but haven’t received yet. After the previous novella about her sister Justice, we get a little insight into Harley and what was going on in her world at the same time period of the other shorts and after the most recent novel. While I love these stories, it continues to drive me to crave and want a full novel with these characters because they are leaving me with so many questions and leaves me wanting more! Great writing and captivating stories, I can’t wait for the next on the list! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
These Heaven Hill shorts are so amazing to read! They give you glimpses into characters lives and set the stage for their future books. Since they are novellas, summarizing the plot will give away the whole story. I will say that this story left me wanting more and I am so looking forward to when Harley gets her full book! In Harley, we get to see how Justice’s kidnapping impacted Harley. I loved getting this glimpse of Harley, she is such a sweet girl who is learning to cope with all that life has thrown her. Bishop is a new character and I loved their interactions, especially the last few chapters! I can’t wait to get Bishops’s back story, because the little we got was heartbreaking. Harley, Justice, Drew, and Caelin standing up for Bishop was awesome and reinforced how Heaven Hill stands up for family. This short story left me wanting more and eagerly waiting to see where life will take Bishop and Harley! I received an authors copy and have left an honest review.
Harley is a junior in high school. She and the school’s quarterback have a secret relationship going on. What others don’t know is Bishop’s father uses him as a punching bag if he doesn’t perform well. At one of the big games the team is no match for the opposing team and Bishop gets annihilated. His father is at the game and is pissed. Harley tries to talk to Bishop but the father is right there ready to hit him. Harley and her biker family are also there and put a stop to the asshole. They offer him a home and a new start. Love the characters in this series.
Omg another amazing book by Laramie. This book had me feeling so many emotions that I can't even explain. How a father can treat his own son in that way is beyond me. I love how The Heaven Hill crew protect each other and support each other regardless and take care of others too and give them a good life. Laramie is an absolutely incredible author and amazing writer and I can't get enough of her books as you always feel like you are part of the story and living through everything that they go through. I definitely recommend you read this book and series and others by Laramie and you will definitely not be disappointed.
Harley is sharing a secret and it's a pretty big one. Her story is the latest novella in the Heaven Hill Shorts (Book 4 ). Laramie Briscoe has done a wonderful job giving us insight into the lives of the Heaven Hill MC after the fallout. This glimpse into Harley's life comes at a pivotal point and we are left with more questions than answers. I can't help but wonder how much the events of the past have shaped her future. I'm excited to see how it all plays out. (It is highly recommended that you read “Heaven Hill Generations” before this series).
I'm loving all these shorts from Laramie Briscoe. The snippets that she gave us just make us clamoring for more and I for one cannot wait till we get the full length novels. This short story focuses on Harley, the twin to Justice and what she went through emotionally after the events of Fury. We also are teased with Bishop, Harley's secret boyfriend and his back story which is pretty sad. Will their relationship prevail? I want to know! Please do note that you must read Fury first before reading any of these short stories, otherwise you'll be lost.
I really have been looking forward to Harley and short was not long enough! lol I loved it. I loved the insight into how Harley handled Justice's kidnapping and the aftermath that had on the whole family. You see some hints as to what Harley's potential path might be in regards to the club but the heat and the romance between her and Bishop really heated up and escalated quickly. The ending will have you chomping at the bit for the full story. So worth the read but you really needed to read the whole series to fully understand everything going on in the story and the characters arc's.
GAHH.... Harley is my Spirit Animal. These Novella's have so much packed into them, I can't wait for their full stories. I love her whole attitude. She reminds me so much of her Dad and Grandpa. Harley and Bishop start off as a friends with benefits has evolved into so much more. I never thought I could love these guys and ladies more then I already did. Laramie you are killing it with each of these stories. I just know that I'm going to cry even more when I read the full stories, your words get me everytime.
For such a short story, Laramie Briscoe is able to effectively bring in new characters into a family. This books lets you see what every member of the Heaven Hill series is about - love and family and standing up for those that mean the most to you. Reading Harley only gives you a slight glimpse at her life, but it gives you so much more. It shows how she has grown and how big her heart is. You will not be disappointed with this book and you will not be able to stop reading it once you start !
Harley was short, sweet and an amazing glimpse into her sassy mind. Harley feels deep even if she tries to hide it or deny it and I loved being able to see her and Justice come back together after Fury. This short story is an amazing lead in to Harley’s full length novel that I hope we get in the near future. Her and Bishop seem great for each other, once they get past all the trauma and pain they’ve gone through and can let each other in. This was great short story and I can’t wait for more!
If you havent read any of the haven hills generations yet go back read ame with the shorts that come before this one I would.
Now that my disclaimer is over. Hold on your about to go for a short (bad pun i know) ride with harley and boy oh boy you just wait till you meet bishop.... ok that's all I'm dropping there if I don't I'll ruin everything for you about the book
I cant wait to read the full book of harleys ... heck what am I saying I cant wait to read what comes next from laramie
I may be a short book, but it packs the emotional punch of a speeding freight train. I should have realized after reading her sister’s book, but I still wasn’t expecting to be bawling my eyes out by the end of this one. Harley and Bishop have already travelled some really rough roads and the one ahead of this is still bumpy. I’m dying to learn the rest of their story now. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Harley will give you all the feels! From the love of her sister and family to the love of Bishop that she isn’t quite ready to admit is love. She has such a big heart and wants to protect everyone but has that wild side too! I wasn’t quite ready for the end and tears is brought. I can’t wait to hear more about where life with take Harley and those around her! Another great story in the Heaven Hill Shorts.
Harley was WOW! For a novella, this was packed with so much emotion. This reader is eager for the rest of the story of Harley and Bishop. I cannot recommend enough that this should not be read unless the rest of the Heaven Hill Series and the Next Gen of HH is read. There are so many nuances that, IMHO, would be lost if someone not familiar with the HH gang, would be lost if they don't read the entire series. I promise, you won't regret it.
Harley is the wild badass twin of Drew and Chasity. She isn’t the type to get tied down or have a guy tell her what to do. Just because she’s a girl doesn’t mean she can’t do what the guys can do. Then she meets Bishop. They start a unexpected relationship where they know more about each other than anyone else- they just don’t let other people know. This book shows all the emotions, compassion and love between these two. Another must read from Laramie Briscoe.
As with all of the Heaven Hill shorts, we get to catch up with one character several years after the events of Fury. This time we get to see what is going on in Harley's life. After reading this, I'm eagerly awaiting Harley's full-length story.
All of the shorts are amazing and quick reads that give the reader just a small glimpse into the future of the Heaven Hill MC family.
Harley is book 4 in the Heaven Hills Shorts series. Another short but amazing story written by the talented Laramie Briscoe. It is recommended that you read "Heaven Hill Generations" before starting this series. This is Harley Walker and Bishop Erikson story, a very emotional and deep short introduction as to what will happen with her and Bishop. I can’t wait for more!
I’m so loving these short stories, even though they leave me wanting more. Harley is very precocious and bit kick ass, but she is still a scared girl at heart. Bishop is a young man in a lot of pain, but he’s fallen for the right girl, and her family is standing up for him. The read was quick but so good!
Gah...it's heartbreaking when kids go through trauma, but when it's your own sister and you feel responsible, there's nothing worse. Harley is learning to get over her feelings of guilt but it's a process. I am eating up these novellas like candy and can't wait to get the full stories!
Harley tough , strong , protective, nobody’s going to get in her way, until her heart is giving away while she didn’t know it to abuse man who has been thought hell and back ! Finally finds home at heaven hills group!! Couldn’t ask for more! Harley is going to be a hand full for Drew !!!
Harley must be read in order and after the other short stories. Harley is still feeling the effects of her sister Justice’s abduction despite them being 16 years old. Harley is in a secret romance with a fellow classmate who has a difficult home life. I can’t wait to continue Harley’s story and see what happens with her and the classmate.
