Sanctum

Rate this book
High-class demon exorcisms were Father Azrael Traugott's specialty. He was so damn good at it that he does it without breaking a sweat. His exorcism rites, however, were unconventional. No use of the Bible or a crucifix or even holy water, but the ecclesiastical community didn't seem to mind.Called for a meeting one day, the Holy Pope instructs him to investigate a recent—of the many—demoniacal attacks in an orphanage house of St. Therese. Once there, he quickly discovered the cause but never had he expected it to come from an unlikely a woman, who then broke his protective walls in more ways than one . . .For as long as Aurora Alexis Clave remembered, living in the orphanage house had been peaceful. Despite being bullied as a child because of a birthmark on her neck, she remained steadfast and compassionate. When the demon possessions started pouring in, she began to wonder how she could help. When the opportunity came to do just that, she quickly grabbed it. However, she hadn't anticipated she'd have to deal with an alluring exorcist priest whose attitude was as labile as the direction of the wind.As their paths collide, an attraction between them arises, and dark secrets were soon uncovered. Dark secrets that involved realms beyond Aurora human mind could handle…There’s a new badass in town, and it’s an exorcist priest.

17-12-2020 update
I don't know what happened in a few months, but finishing this felt like a weird sort of pain? The writing annoyed me a little and I realised there are so many dubious consent situations in here that made me super uncomfy. I love this book, but I don't know what the hell happened.

Sanctum is one of the best books I've read (everyone needs to read this, LIKE RIGHT NOW). The incredible detail, the demons, the angels, everything in this book is written to absolute perfection. I love Cirrus (my hot fucking priest) and I absolutely adore how much he loves her. I can't wait to read it again (but the next time I read it will be when I've finally bought it, mark my words) and believe me, it'll be very very soon.

16/08/2020 edit: WELL I BOUGHT IT. I'll read it soon too. I don't think I'm in the right mood for it right now. BUT DIDN'T I SAY THE NEXT TIME I READ IT I'D HAVE BOUGHT IT. FUCK YES APOORVA. We (meaning me, myself, and I) only speak facts(!!)

This book is very unique. Not your usual kind of plot. The first few chapters build immediately to the exorcism scene and then before you know it, the romance begins and the giddy feeling starts. I most especially like the fact it is not a copy of the usual cliche books in the market now. This book has its own flair. Definitely worth keeping in my bookshelf.

If you want to find a good read. This book is a good read. It offers a lot of things aside from the love story of the two main characters. It doesn’t bore and it keeps me on my toes while reading. I finished it overnight, I didn’t care if I was out of sleep. I read this book first in Wattpad and I’m super happy now that it has a print version.

This was my first book of hers and once I got used to the writing style, I absolutely fell in love. Not just with the characters but also the way the places they were at were being described. The character growth of both the FMC and the MMC were so well done. I have been recommending this book to everyone. Only just now learning it's out of print and that makes me so sad. But I at least have a copy!

Fantastic! In every sense of the word...

Captivating story of Aurora and Cirrus. I didn't want it to end! You've brought a beautiful narration of their special relationship and I was truly enjoying the twists throughout. It's a must read for those who enjoy romance with a hint if mystery and a male lead with a bit if darkness that stirs your soul...lol... Can't wait for more!

Well...

This is a good story, but it reads like it was poorly translated into English from a different language. I would love to take a stab at editing it.

Definitely different. Something that I didn't expect. Chemistry for days with a bonus demon that caused havoc. I just got bored. The romance wasn't a slow build but the mark was. Good but not great.
