Meanwhile Tessa is working to battle her demons and finally become the woman who can give her husband what he needs. How much more can the relationship between Tessa and Parker stand? These two have never had a normal couple’s relationship and Wyatt has long ago passed beyond the borders of friend and confidant for Tessa. When a “Jane Doe” is brought into the hospital suffering from the same symptoms Tessa is very familiar with, her amnesia makes her vulnerable and afraid. Parker needs to be a knight in shining armor and his Tessa no longer needs him, she has her own group of supporters, including Wyatt. When Parker offers the “Jane Doe” a place to recuperate, a sinister plot will come to fruition and it may end Parker and Tessa forever if they do not find their way home again. Is Parker being duped by a phony or is it only Tessa who thinks so?
Determined to be the man who takes care of the woman he loves, Parker will do anything to make her safe, anything. Will Tessa appreciate his efforts? Will she finally see that he has needs, too? Her self-protecting attitude, her independent streak and her lack of compassion toward her own husband will tear at your heart.

OMG! OMG! OMG! JANE! JANE! JANE! Even though I knew a lot of what would happen because I read the previous novels, it still felt like the first time and you blew me away.
I love these characters and it is so wonderful being back with them again. They are all flawed in their own ways, but I would still want them by my side in a clutch situation. Jane has put them through hell…repeatedly…and does not give them a break in Forgotten.
Their past comes back to haunt them, over and over again. Secrets will be exposed…and trouble, which is Tessa’s middle name, will find them.
Tessa and Parker’s inability to get past their own insecurities and trust in each other causes a separation they may never be able to overcome. Do we ever really know a person? People are not always what they seem.
Jane has brought all the events in the previous books into play and wraps it up in a NOT pretty package. She has no trouble killing off her characters and the loss of this one was gut wrenching. Even though I knew it was going to happen, I still had all the feels I did the first time around, maybe even more.
The villains are monstrous, but I understand how they got that way. I see their motivation, empathize with their pain, but they know right from wrong and there can be no forgiveness.
It broke my heart when Maisy…and then Jane finished me off with… Tears were rolling down my face as….I couldn’t hold them back. Sometimes knowing what’s coming doesn’t change anything.
You only get one shot at life and you had to make it count. We’re all responsible for our own choices.”
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Forgotten by Jane Blythe.
This is book 5 in the relationship drama that makes up Parker and Tessa and they are falling apart. Parker finds a new person to save and dives head first into a case despite needing to spend some real time with Tessa working on their relationship. Tessa is just as stubborn and they are living in separate house, but finally some good news, Tessa is finally trying to get some help for all her issues. Unfortunately she keeps turning to everyone but her husband and that keeps causing a bigger and bigger riff between the two.
This entire series has been hit and miss for me. I like the mysteries but it’s very hard to route for two people who are so damaged individually and really have no desire to work on themselves. What makes matters worse is that they both know they have issues and they completely refused to do anything about it. This book felt a little like side with Tessa and gang up on Parker but Parker makes some terrible decisions. I waited a couple of days to write this review because I had to sit with it and decide how I felt about how it ended. I think I have decided that it really ended the only way it could under the circumstances. It felt real and I honestly think this book made me like the series on the whole better.
This is the fifth and final book in this series. You should start at book one and read through in order to get the complete story and to have a full understanding of everything that has occurred. I freely admit that I have had some complicated feelings about this series and these characters. As for the books themselves, I found them quite suspenseful and gripping. I really liked Parker and I found him a character that was complex and compelling. Unfortunately, Tessa was a real sore point for me. I started off thinking she was annoying, which grew into dislike and finally something that borders on loathing. This character was like nails on the chalkboard to me. I honestly do not recall ever reading a heroine that was so self centered and clueless. In my opinion, TSTL doesn't even scratch the surface here. Still, if this character is not an issue or you can just try very hard to ignore her, I feel that this is a twisty and intriguing series that my not be quite what you expect. I am choosing to post a candid review.
Another suspense filled story but one where Tessa and Parker Bell are estranged. I am amazed and delighted by the variety of psychotic killers in this series and this is yet another book with great creativity.
Once again, although I do like the character of Tessa and am amazed by everything she has gone through, I am irritated by her too. For someone who is a genius she makes some very poor decisions. However Parker, who again I like, is just as annoying! Skylar Wyatt’s character sums it up well when he says... “You and that wife of yours are the most infuriating people on the planet,” Wyatt complained. The thing is- when I read a story and become as invested in the characters and their actions I believe it is due to the solid writing by the author who has you hooked into their fictional world.
A terrific series but I need time to process everything as it is an intensely emotional read, brilliant and unpredictable though.
And here we are with the final book in htis series, and I have to admit I have concerns. Will Parker and Tessa get there HEA?
Once more they are at loggerheads. And I just want them to talk to each other, but there is another murderer on the lose and this one is a humdinger!
Parker is Parker and can't help but be more than he should to the victim, he always wants to help. Tessa also just can't stop herself from putting herself in damger to help the victims, but more than that she feels compelled to do so.
The love story between Parker and Tessa is clear but they have so many montains to climb.
This was another heartbreaking read but it was SO GOOD. There were tears shed and at times I wanted to give them both a good talking too, but ultimalty this book was so powerful and dark. I know it is going to stay with me for a good while.
Thank you Jane for taking me on this journey I loved it!
Wow what an ending!! The final book in the series and it didn’t disappoint! More drama, more heartbreak, more creepy serial killer craziness. This book was everything the others were and more! Jane Blythe did a fantastic job at bringing the characters to life and hooking you in to the nonstop drama filled lives of these characters. I deeply disliked Tessa in this book, her issues pushing Parker as far as he could go and Wyatt, Parker’s best friend, who I loved in the first 4 books, really got on my nerves the way he treated Parker in this book. The ending was not at all what I expected, not even close! I will not spoil it, it needs to be experienced the same way I did. I really enjoyed this series. I am truly a fan of this author now and I am going searching to see what else I can read of hers.
The fifth and final book in the series and what a way to end!!!!
What started off as a series I wasn't sure I'd enjoy has turned into one that I have loved, with every twist and turn and every truth that un folded I've been hooked and gripped by the characters and the story line. I absolutely adore parker from the very first book hes etched himself into my heart ,but tessa well that's another story haha bare with her the books are so worth it even if she is annoying.
A fantastic gripping suspenseful series brilliantly written and characters you cant help but love. A truly heartbreaking end to such a tragic love story !!!!
Final book in this series. What a series it has been. This last book was a great ending to this series. I do highly recommend reading the first four in the series before reading this one so you can understand the relationship between Parker and Tessa These books are both suspenseful and gripping. In this one Tessa and Parker are estranged. There are a variety of psychotic killers in this series and wow does Jane write them well. There is more drama, more heartbreak, more creepy serial killer craziness that you can ask for. I have to say the ending was not what I expected and was blown away by it. But it was another great book to this series. I highly recommend this whole series.
Holy moley what a way to end such an amazing series!! From the very beginning these characters endured so many difficulties that my heart hurt for them. Forgotten is full of angsty drama, heartbreak and nonstop craziness. I have loved this series from the very beginning and I'm a little sad to be saying goodbye.
This is an interesting conclusion to the Parker Bell series. I have to say that the one character I have liked constantly has been Parker. I have really enjoyed this series. It didn't end the way I expected but to me that is the beauty of a suspense. Jane Blythe is definitely one of my favorite authors of the genre. Great job!
OMG This story was so crazy and sad. This story has mystery, murder, kidnapping, and a crazy psychopath. Parker and Tessa are still not together, so much fighting. Then Hope comes along and Parker protects her and Tessa is not happy about it. I was so upset at the end of this book, tears running down my face. Highly recommend. Loved the whole series.
OMFG. What a way to end a series!! I'm sitting here numb, rocking in a corner. From the prologue you could tell something major was going to happen. Let's just say the author wraps up most of the series plot lines in this book, but they definitely aren't in pretty little bows.
Once again, Ms Blythe has taken me on a twisted tale and tortured the characters as only she knows how. Now I join them with my tormented feelings. I have been left reeling. 3.5 stars.
You need to really start at book 1 to get the full understanding of the characters. How much can one couple go through? They are pretty long books and I found they got better as the story progressed throughout the 5 books.
This is the last book in the series and it ripped out my heart. This book is full of so much emotional pain, it killed me. Jane Blythe knows how to ring out every little bit of emotion in he readers soul. I was so emotionally invested in this book.
Omg I cant believe it I want to scream that no no no it cant be true I cried on this book at the end I just couldn't believe that it ended that way I just couldn't
This is book 5 and the final in the series. I can't even begin to explain the full emotional roller coaster this book takes you on. What a great ending to a great series. A must read.
Wow this was a explosive conclusion to a very crazy suspenseful series. Intense Parker and Tessa are at odds through most of this installment. The ending is something I did not see coming.
This was the first book of the series I have had the opportunity to read. Jane Blythe did an excellent job of pulling you into the characters and bringing their painful backgrounds into vivid view for the reader. Tessa has as much ‘baggage’ as her husband; however, their true love extends all boundaries. Their love and the compassion of their friends bring the reader into the story as part of the situation and resolution. I personally wanted a romantic end to the story, but you will have to finish the book yourself and make your own decision. I enjoyed this book very much!! I loved the authors writing style and would read more of her work. *I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*
This is the final installment in the Detective Parker Bell series. This time the detectives are investigating the case of a traumatized woman who has lost her memory. The relationship between Parker and his wife, Tessa, continues to be strained and complicated as each of them carry a lot of baggage from the past. The ending hits you with a bang!
Well I'm sad this is the last book In the series. It was definitely one heck of a rollercoaster ride. There was a lot in this book I wasn't expecting but that's why it's called a thriller. I never wanted to wring so many people's neck including the authors than in this book. Great book. I enjoyed it.
I have not read any of the other books in this series. This book had me from the beginning. I enjoyed it very much. I would read more of this author. *I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*
