I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
I have been waiting what feels like forever for this book! And it did not disappoint! In the credits Sarah talks about how this was a hard book to write because it is different from her others and I think she did an amazing job. With all the dukes and duchess’s you would think that a murder wouldn’t happen but oh my goodness this was a twisted plot. A triad code of succession and a trap by jac’s enemies it’s amazing how many do make it out alive. It is sad that so many characters do die but it does make the book. I absolutely loved it and I highly recommend it. It fits well within the series. I can’t wait for the next one. I will be sad when the series ends... but I guess I’ll just have to listen to them all again.
