Eve was just trying to be a responsible house sitter. She didn't want to slip and fall into the sea, and she certainly didn't want to wake up in a terrifying purple guy's bed and immediately be accused of being a witch. It doesn't help matters that this particular terrifying purple guy is the Demon Lord Az'ralon, or that she can't help but want to touch him constantly. She just wants to get home, but as time passes, that seems less and less likely.
When the Demon Lord of Poremi discovers a woman has been dumped in his territory, he is suspicious. She's the first human to cross the portal between the lands for centuries, and her innocent act combined with his unbridled attraction aren't particularly convincing that she is who she says. Giving in to his impulses only serves to convince him that she's much, much more dangerous than he'd feared...
Imogen is a self-published author who started writing paranormal romance novels in 2017. Her debut novel was Dragongrove: Mated to the Dragon King, the first book in the Dragongrove series.
She lives in Colorado with her husband and two daughters. One of her favorite activities is looking at old houses, especially anything built before 1800. She fantasizes about the day she can buy a house that's old enough to definitely be haunted.
House sitting on an island off the coast of Alaska for the Winter Eve follows a noise in the night down to the docks where she proceeds to slip and fall into the water. Azralon is of the Yremy, leader of a race of demons that reside in another realm. He is not in any way human he is purple with wings, claws, fangs and a tail and he has been dreaming of Eve for a while. when she washes up on his shores he believes her a tool sent by the witches to aid in his downfall. He believes she is working with his enemies, obviously, she is innocent of the crime accused. So this was enjoyable, It wasn't very taxing or complicated and it was a bit light on the worldbuilding itself but it was still a fun easy read. It was also quite a quick read and was instalove and instalust also. Nothing wrong with a bit of insta and the sexy scenes here sure hit the spot. This is the first book in a new series and I believe the next book is about Eve's friend. I voluntary reviewed a copy of Dark Allure (Demons of Poremi Book 1).
Very interesting read! This story is of a human mc that travels through a portal to a demon lover. The plot moves quickly and is very steamy with lots of sex. I did take one star off as I didn't feel a connection with the MC. Her personality is a bit weak. Maybe it's because Az'ralon's personality is super strong? Not sure. I did really like Az'ralon though.
Holy shiznet!!! This book grabbed me from the first page and held me to the end. Eve is perfect, sweet but tough. Az is one hot demon. I can't wait to read the next story. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
This book was a disappointment. The attraction between the main characters was rushed and all what the heroine wanted was to have sex which is kinda boring because I like the women in romance books to be fisty and really strong but Eve was too weak. I know that fated mate feel sexual attraction in a heavy way but that doesn't mean it had to be the main plot. Everything blend cuz every time I read about something exiting and new, one of them will go back to thinking about sex which I didn't like. Hopefully the next book will be better cuz it seems interesting.
There was a lot I enjoyed about the story, and a couple things lacking for me. I would have liked more detail about the world and species. Also I (always) struggle with the super instant love, I don't mind it to a degree but this was a little much for my taste. However I did like Eve's inner dialog, and how bizarre it was and how she should be thinking otherwise. I'll probably continue the series, at least to see where Allie's story goes.
This was a very interesting read with great characters and storyline. I love how Eve just happened to "fall" through a portal and meets the demon Az'ralon. It was enjoyable watching him believing she was a witch. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book
This book captured me from the start. It’s thrilling and exciting throughout. The characters were fun to read and how AZ changed some. Looking forward to the next book.
