More than just a steamy read, Joseph is a story about true love, friendship, and personal growth. I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed the first two books in the Risking Love series by Callie Carmen, "Patrick" and "Nicolas" and was looking forward to the third book in the series, "Joseph". It did not disappoint!
The Risking Love series follows a group of young women as one by one they fall in love and have to decide whether their new beau is The One. The heroine of "Joseph", Violet, has some internal conflicts to overcome as she has a great fear or abandonment. This leads her to push away Joseph when he is the very man who can make her feel safe and loved. When Violet unexpectedly becomes pregnant, the stakes get higher. Joseph and Violet are appealing characters - their lust for each other and fears of risking their heart leads them to jump into bed instead of talking about their feelings and their fledgling relationship. The happy ending when it comes is well deserved! This is the perfect romantic sensual read for the holidays... or at any other time of year! Callie Carmen writes the books in the first person, in both the hero and the heroine's points of view, she does a fantastic job at creating a distinctive voice for each of the characters. I look forward to the story of Bella and Tony - the good time girl who's now good, but who lusts after a guy... who moves slower than molasses...

Steamy as a hot shower!
Joseph has wanted Violet for months, but she was tied up with another man and Joseph wouldn’t interfere in case she really cared for the guy. Violet had longed for Joseph for months, but he was the boyfriend of her friend, Bella, and Violet wouldn’t interfere because, well, friends just don’t do that to each other. But suddenly Violet dumps the hunk and word is that Bella is going to break things off with Joseph—which she does at their friend’s wedding reception. Finally, there is a chance for Joseph and Violet to be together as a couple, and it’s a chance they both grab for. The trouble is, Violet has a hard time accepting that Joseph really wants her and isn’t on the rebound. Or that he doesn’t want her for just “friends with benefits.”
Joseph is a man who knows his mind but doesn’t always express it in a way that risk-averse Violet can believe. Sound familiar? It’s happened to almost everyone I know at some point in a relationship. Ms. Carmen writes the experience with true heart. Joseph might not be able to say things properly, but he uses his body to show (he hopes) how much he loves Violet. Whoa, mama! This is a steamy book, full of passion and love. I really liked it and recommend it. Book 3 in the Risking Love series is a definite winner!

Violet has a desire, a crush a secret love. How could she love her best friend's boyfriend? What Violet didn't expect is that Joseph Kotto also had a secret love interest. So when they were finally free and single, and the stars line up and once night a passion brought them together. Violet knew that Joseph will always be her true love interest. Violet didn't do relationships because everyone she ever loved died on her. So to keep her heart safe from hurt, she knew she had to run because losing Joseph would not be an option to her. THREE little words I LOVE YOU is all it would take for them to finally be together. Joseph didn't want anyone else he wanted Violet, and he would do anything in his power to make that happen.

Another, the third, book in this series. Violet is torn between her desire for Joseph, and the insecurities the relationship insecurities that haunt her from her past. will she commit t Joseph? well written as usual, this book is a must for all lovers of romantic stories, with a good dash of the erotic added to the mix and I especially loved the ending
