The greatest test of Lucy’s strength comes in the thrilling fourth installment of the Fresco Nights saga.
Recently I stumbled across a saying by author Wally Lamb: “If the book is true, it will find an audience that is meant to read it.” As a long-time writer I have come to accept that not every book is to everyone’s taste, but if you are reading my biography perhaps my books are for you.
I am a writer of romantic suspense, but I guess, really, my novels are more a blend of adventure, mystery, and romance. My favorite romantic suspense author, growing up, was Mary Stewart, and I continue to reread her books and wish that she were still here to write more. But times have changed—although that winning recipe of romance, suspense and, oh yes, adventure still clings to me.
Years ago when I was in my early twenties just finishing university and employed in the archaeology lab as an illustrator, my then boyfriend was planning our future. He was going to be a dentist and I was going to be his artist wife. Although in many ways I loved him, I realized that his future was not my future. He wanted a stable, secure and predictable life (who doesn’t!). I wanted adventure. We were true to ourselves and we broke up. I met someone else who also wanted adventures, and we have never stopped having them. My books are about adventures in love and in life, and all the fun and terror that go with finding sudden love in strange places. I visit amazing settings, sometimes to where my archaeologist husband works, and other times just wonderful locations in my mind. And the characters I encounter along the way! Sophisticated pillars of the community who turn out to be villains and sexy adventurous heroines and charismatic alpha males all blended in a mystery.
I am an enthusiast for anything to do with travel, history, art and digging up old treasures. Of late, I have become concerned with the growing underground trafficking of valuable objects and this is the backdrop to my FRESCO NIGHTS series. I am also a contributor to the Chicken Soup for the Soul franchise. I live in Hamilton, Ontario with my professor husband near the Royal Botanical gardens lakeside.
When her man is caught in a an explosion, and later appears helping terrorists on video, a woman goes to rescue him, and finds herself in way over her head.
Lucy finds herself there as she searches for Luke. A city not safe as a museum bombing occurs and the possibility the bodyguard survived despite the building crumbling over him. Unfortunately he does not remember her as he is now working on the opposite side.
Will he remember her before it is too late or will it be too late? The journey continues again.
This book is fast moving and interesting. There is plenty of action and mystery. The characters and story are so well done and at times you are left wondering who is a good guy and who is not.
OMG!!! I could not put it down! I read it in a day! I had to: plot twist after plot twist. Is he/she a good guy or a bad guy? Or a bad guy playing good. Spies and double spies!!! I have to go get “some” sleep before I start book five!!!
