(4, 25⭐) Definitivamente esta saga se está volviendo mi lugar seguro. Amé este segundo sin dudas, pero sí siento que hubieron cosas que disfruté más en el primero cuando las descubría y que acá al mantenerse, me volvieron algo más lentas ciertas partes. Pero eso no hizo que me gustara menos para nada. La trama nueva que se presenta, los personajes, los giros y esa relación de amistad que se va fortaleciendo en esta entrega, fueron maravillosas. Y ESE FINAL. Necesitando continuar con el resto de los libros ✨

Este segundo libro de la la saga El sendero del guardabosques nos traslada al segundo curso de Lasgol en la academia secreta de los guardabosques.
Lasgol ha limpiado el nombre de su padre y recuperado su herencia pero cuando creía que ya estaba todo resuelto le surgen dudas: ¿qué le pasó realmente a su padre? ¿y a su madre? ¿y qué es Camu y cómo llegó a sus manos? En este segundo año de instrucción Lasgol no sólo se enfrenta a duras pruebas académicas sino a un misterio cada vez más peligroso y a la guerra, cada vez más cruenta y más cercana al protagonista.
Como el primer libro, la lectura es muy entretenida. Prácticamente he devorado el libro. A este paso me pondré al día con los catorce tomos. Bueno en octubre ¡sale el 15!

Segunda entrega de la historia y me ha gustado. La verdad es que este segundo libro descubre muchos secretos, demasiados que hacen que te enganche la historia y sus protagonistas.
Ya es el segundo año para formarse como Guardabosques pero este año es especial porque hay una guerra entre UTHAR y DARKOR. Parece que son antiguos enemigos y que hay mucha historia detrás de ello.
Lo único que me tira para atrás es que son 14 libros!!! Iremos poco a poco.

I think this is one of the most scattered reviews I’ve written in a long time. Rather fitting though because this book was scattered itself.
I am very sad to say that it had no plot line whatsoever. It was very scattered indeed and felt like it was immensely long yet super short.
The war was a problem for me too. It was mentioned, it was clearly a problem, but it didn’t feel like one. I would actually forget there was a war at times and as the book covers a year just like the last one and the entire war comes and goes like nothing. It wasn’t realistic at all.
I had spoilers so the main plot twist wasn’t a surprise but it might have been if I didn’t have the spoiler. I can’t wait to see where this goes though.
The end twist I didn’t have spoilers for but it was unfortunately predictable and unsurprising.
This one reminded me vaguely of the second How to Train Your Dragon movie and I think the next one will do so as well. So I loved that! HtTYD vibes is a good sign.
The new elements of magic and the people of the north made this book better than it would have been but I’m still hoping to see more world building and magical realism throughout the rest of the series.
Camou would just disappear for what felt like a dozen chapters and it was really weird because the main mystery of this book literally was him (her?).
I love the feminist view that Urvi is trying to portray but it’s coming off a little too forced feeling to fully appreciate. Hopefully it will feel more natural from now on but I’m really not sure. He did try though which is cool.
As for the MCs I really didn’t see any character development worth mentioning.

Egil had a little change but not much
Ingrid seemed the same apart from sadly being a little less hostile
Viggo I honestly forgot he was there a lot of the time which was disappointing because I really like him
Gerd was a bit more accepting of magic but that was pretty much it, I still love him though
Nilsa still annoys me but she felt absent like Viggo did
As for the romance in this one there was still technically none but it’s closer to having some. I’m honestly not really sure what to think of Val, she seemed sus, but we’ll see. Viggo and Ingrid though, I think I may get my wish if one of them will admit their damn feelings.
There were actually quite a few new characters and I had mixed feelings about all of them so maybe it’s not just Val though.
Overall I think this one was more of a filler book so hopefully the next one will offer more. But the second book shouldn’t be a filler, this series is nearing 20 books now and it has me worried that like half of them will be fillers. I really hope I’m wrong but at the same time I feel like I’m not. I really do think that in order to keep my attention for the entirety of the series then it’s going to have to have more structure than has been shown so far and definitely more character development.
Now I know all this sounds terrible but three stars for me really isn’t that bad, it could actually be considered good I think. And the reason for that is that I have hope for the rest of series and that it will redeem this one.

Wow! este es el segundo de una saga muy larga(17 libros) que me ha gustado muchísimo, incluso más que el primero. Tenemos más acción, aventura e intriga.
Tenemos a Lasgol quien es nuestro protagonista y me ha gustado mucho como se ha desenvuelto, tiene agallas y no duda en proteger a sus amigos.
Tenemos a Nilsa de quién todavía no estoy segura de cómo me cae pero por lo que he podido notar es buena amiga y aunque es torpe me resulta tierna.
También está Viggo quien hasta ahora es uno de los que mejor me caen y es que tiene un sentido del humor muy peculiar y todo el rato me estoy riendo con él.
Por favor, tenemos a nuestro cerebrito Egil y este chico es sin duda uno de los más inteligentes y me encantaaaaaa, es amable y antepone a los demás antes que a él.
Tenemos a Ingrid, nuestra capitana, quien muestra sentido de liderazgo y aunque a veces no esté de acuerdo con sus compañeros nunca los deja solo.
Y por último, tenemos a Gerd, quien es un ser al que solo quiero abrazar porque está muy chiquito.
La historia me pareció muchísimo más interesante que la primera, y cada vez hay mayores retos, desafíos y cosas que resolver.
La escritura del autor es bastante sencilla por lo que a pesar de que este libro casi es de 500 páginas ni lo noté porque solo quería saber más y más de la historia.
Hubo un plots twist que no me vi venir y que ahora pone en duda todo lo que sabía de este mundo que ha creado el autor. No sé porque ni había escuchado hablar de esta saga antes y es que tiene mucho potencial, no diría que es de mis favoritas pero tiene una fantasía que gusta mucho.
En este tiempo creo que estoy en mi Fantasía era y es que no puedo leer otra cosa que no sea fantasía y por lo visto continuaré esta saga porque me va gustando mucho. Se las súper recomiendo, no tiene desperdicio, los personajes son lo más.
Tiene vibes a Harry Potter puesto que nuestro protagonistas y sus amigos deben de cursar cursos (de 1ro a 4to año) para convertirse en guardabosques.

Realmente estoy disfrutando ésto.

Parecía que iba a seguir la estructura del primer libro dado que el prota está "estudiando" para ser guardabosques y todavía le falta. Sin embargo, aquí estamos en guerra ya. Y los plottwist...shocked.

Pues como el primero, lectura ligera pero entretenida.
Hubo un montón de cosas en los primeros capítulos que nos resarcieron de lo mucho que sufrió el pobre protagonista en el primer libro. ¡Qué gustazo!.
La parte de las pruebas estaba entretenida pero tenían ese aire similar a las del primer libro que me hizo temer que acabara siendo un más de lo mismo con espolvoreado de diferencias de forma, que no de fondo... pero no. Las cosas fueron por otros derroteros totalmente diferentes y la acción se fue por otro lado.
Lo más soprendente para mí fue que todo cuanto leí en el primer libro, fue puesto en duda y cuestión en este, y mirado a la luz de los nuevos descubrimientos, los éxitos y fracasos de entonces, no son tales. Muchas sorpresas.
El bichín del prota me parece adorable y algunas cosas que descubrieron me hace sospechar que en futuras entregas podrían aparecer dragones... ¡¿Será verdad?!😋. GL Bis (Especial El sendero del guardabosques)

Esta saga es una auténtica maravilla. Estoy muy agradecida a la editorial de que me enviasen el primer libro antes de su publicación y de poder seguir leyendo esta historia.

En esta segunda entrega se nota la evolución de los personajes, la oscuridad acecha y la ambientación se vuelve más envolvente aún.

Lasgol regresa a la academia de guardabosques, buscando las respuestas que le faltan sobre su padre, y conoceremos a su madre gracias a la narración de otras personas.

Exceptional Series
Exceptional in reading satisfaction and enjoyment. This was a wonderful (and well edited) Kindle Unlimited suggestion of fictional escape, perfect reading during this barrage of bad news during the ongoing COVID crisis.
Lasgol, his mysterious pet reptile, Camu and his 5 Ranger Apprentice companions are in their second year of Ranger school and the action and plot twists keep coming. It was so hard for me to put this book down (and the previous one too) that I snuck in chapters when I ate and took breaks.
This is sort like Harry Potter meets Darth Vader and they all train for survival with Army Special Forces and MacGyver. If you’ve had family or friends in Special Forces you know what I mean; secretive survivalists training in nature’s harshest conditions using only a twig and twine as weapons..lol..not really but you get the idea, creativity plus strength and a willingness to do what no sane person would do haha. Love, love this series. I read Harry Potter when it first came out and really liked it but I like the outdoor situations and skillsets that must be learned in this series much better. There’s also magic elements, in which Camu plays a fun role. How Camu ended up in Lasgol’s care is a huge plot twist surprise I didn’t see coming. Well done!
Exceptional in reading satisfaction and enjoyment. This was a wonderful (and well edited) Kindle Unlimited suggestion of fictional escape, perfect reading during this barrage of bad news during the ongoing COVID crisis.
Lasgol, his mysterious pet reptile, Camu and his 5 Ranger Apprentice companions are in their second year of Ranger school and the action and plot twists keep coming. It was so hard for me to put this book down (and the previous one too) that I snuck in chapters when I ate and took breaks.
This is sort like Harry Potter meets Darth Vader and they all train for survival with Army Special Forces and MacGyver. If you’ve had family or friends in Special Forces you know what I mean; secretive survivalists training in nature’s harshest conditions using only a twig and twine as weapons..lol..not really but you get the idea, creativity plus strength and a willingness to do what no sane person would do haha. I Am Your Mother
I do not envy the task of the modern writer. Each one faces the monumental task of raising the bar of any tale of the same genre that came before. I would be untruthful If I did not mention that when The Dark Lord revealed himself/herself to Lasgol, that I did not recall that famous line, "Luke, I am your father!" It makes me wonder if Darth Vader might be someone else?! But Urvi tells a great story that is well written and fun to read. The characters work well with each other and Urvi manages to keep the large number of characters from getting confusing, a masterful task in itself. The tasks of the Rangers read well and are very believable. Excellent work.

I think it says something when I need 6 months to finish a book, which is a shame because I really liked the first one. My main point of critisicm is that Urvi takes forever to get the story going even though he doesn't add much in terms of worldbuilding. Much of the books first part could have been cut without any loss of story or character development.
In the second Part the story picks up but it always feels a bit removed for the Reader and sometimes a bit contrived. I never felt fully immersed but rather like i was looking at the story with some distance. The general idea behind the story is good, but the execution left much to be desired.

This book did not disappoint! Following our characters from book 1, it was everything that I could’ve hoped for. The characters are great, the plot is great, the twists are well thought-out and masterfully executed. I literally gasped at one that was even more shocking than I had previously guessed. Keep them coming! I am definitely adding this to my recommend list for reluctant readers.

Es el segundo libro de la saga El sendero del guardabosques. ¡Me ha gustado! Es súper entretenido. Al principio me costó engancharme pero, claro, acababa de terminar Queen of Shadows (Reina de Sombras, el 4o de Trono de Cristal).
Me siguen encantando los personajes y las aventuras por las que pasan. En este libro vemos a Lasgol un pelin más maduro, más seguro de sí mismo. Me gusta mucho que vayan creciendo, ya tengo ganas de de cómo sigue su evolución.
¡¡Y vaya giros de trama y sorpresas que tiene el libro!!
Os recomiendo esta saga si os apetece leer algo de fantasía juvenil y aventuras.

Sigo enganchada con la lectura. El plot twist no lo vi venir si vi venir que habia mas de lo que se contaba respecto a la madre de Lasgol pero que fuera Darthor para nada. Sabe mantener el interes del lector. La trama politica es interesante y hace que quiera ya leer el tercer libro. Lasgol como protagonista me encanta. Y viggo es fascinate quiero saber más sobre el y su pasdo. El personaje que me cuesta más es Nilsa me cae bien cuando es adorable y patosa pero cuando se cierra no la soporto la verdad entiendo que tiene un pasado pero a veces me dan ganas de darle un puñetazo.

If he would just stick to the story, I’d be much happier. He has a lot to offer in this world of rangers, magic, and good versus evil. Like I said in my last review, he desperately needs an editor, but beyond that, I am getting sick of the frequent feminist pandering. I’m going to try one more book, but if things don’t improve, this series will be relegated to the not-worth-it pile.

¡Se me ha hecho demasiado corto el libro! Ya sé que tiene que meter un año entero en pocas páginas pero ojalá se extendiese más en cosas mundanas de los aprendices, del día a día.
Aún así me ha encantado el libro, me ha conseguido enganchar desde el principio y me ha gustado mucho la vertiente que ha tomado. Ya he empezado el tercero y sigue igual de bien, me es imposible dejar de leer e irme a la cama.
Lo recomiendo 100% como un libro de YA de fantasía que siempre apetece leer

No se si fue la experiencia de haber escuchado el audiolibro y al mismo tiempo leer el libro o que realmente este estuvo mejor que el primero. Por ahora quiero continuar con la saga... ya veremos más adelante
