Mason I had two things goin’ in my life, my son and my club. I didn’t think I needed anything else. Or if I did, I didn’t have the time for it. That was until she moved in next door and started planting all those silly flowers. The girl that smiled all the time. But I didn’t think she liked me much. It bugged me to no end that I couldn’t figure out why. It shouldn’t have really mattered because not only was I too old for her, but I knew I’d only end up crushing her pretty little world. I should have known that those excuses would only last me so long. The girl that surrounded herself with sunshine and rainbows was it for me. Ryan Wake up with a smile and make every moment count. That was how I liked to face each day. I had to admit that it was hard to do with my rude neighbor waking me up at odd hours of the night. But I still put a smile on my face even as I cursed him in my head. Then I met him. I quickly realized that Mason Thorne was not the dreadful man I made him out to be in my head. And that he was going to show me that good girls can be dirty.
Eve R. Hart has a habit of weaving stories laced thick with romance. They often bounce between awkward humor and dark themes- sometimes making a scary combination of the two. It doesn’t matter how it comes, she just wants love to win at the end of the day.
Eve lives on the coast of North Carolina with their partner in chaos, three beautifully nerdy kids, and a ridiculously sweet dog. When they need a break, you’ll find Eve lost in a book, playing board games with her family, or whipping up something crazy in the kitchen.
I was so excited when Eve R. Hart said that Mason was going to be the next book in the Steel Paragons world. I've been curious about him since he came into the club, and he has always been a bit quiet and mysterious. Plus, I am a sucker for a good single Dad romance. I just can't help it, but it gets me every single time. Mason's character was everything I hoped he would be. A little broody, a little mysterious, a whole lot of super sexy. Plus, he's just good man, and you can feel that through the way that Eve R. Hart writes him. I ADORED Ryan. I thought her character was witty and charming and quirky, and someone I want to be besties for life. Her personality fit what Mason needed perfectly, and the two of them together were hot! Mason had me giggling and swooning all at the same time, and that has to be my favorite combination in a romance.
This story just sucked me in right away! Getting to know more about our VP Mason and just how he thinks was everything I could hope for. Even more so when he gets to know his neighbor Ryan and trying to figure out why she has an intense dislike for him. I absolutely adored their relationship and how they complemented each other! Ryan is adorable in so so many ways I honestly loved the weirdo from the get go. She certainly had me laughing out loud quite a few times and though we dont read her interacting with the club a whole lot, I know she fits right in. How Mason and his ex come to terms was truly a sigh of a relief . Despite me wanting to stay hating her, by the end of the book I really couldnt find myself able to anymore. The character development is just top notch as always with Eve R Hart's amazing writing.
I can not wait for the next generation that is teased at the end!!

I've been waiting for his story for a while and I wasn't disappointed. With the animosity with his son's momma, coming to terms with the role her husband plays in his son's life, and adding Ry's personal bomb to the mix.... well there's a lot to get through.
Unlike most of the other stories in this series, their is no real underlying MC crisis. This is about 2 people working through their pasts and creating the future that they want and deserve.
I got the warm fuzzies reading this. Mason cemented himself into my heart and Ry, well, she was just so perfectly written for him. He deserved her.
Well done again Eve. Another great read. Another 5 stars....
Mason gave me all the feels. I really enjoyed this couple and their story. I loved Ryan. She is all about flowers, rainbows, and sunshine. She is strong, independent, and smiles through life. Mason is a hot, alpha male, who has a sweet side. He loves his son and his family. It was difficult not to fall for Mason. He is an alpha male, so that doesn’t mean he didn’t frustrate me. These two had some hot chemistry and steamed up my kindle. They also made me laugh. Mason and Ryan just fit, despite their differences. Thorne is such a cutie and makes this duo even better as a trio. I loved the epilogue for its sweetness. Mason had me completely absorbed into the story the entire book. I did not put this book down until I saw the words “the end”. Mason is a good read. I cannot wait to read the future stories coming our way.
I don't like giving much details in my reviews because it could totally spoil it for the reader, so just trust me when I say - JUST READ THE BOOK!!! I loved Mason and Ryan. Ryan was so sweet and caring, never letting anything get her down. And Mason was just amazing. Especially considering the baby mama drama he had to deal with. I thought it had a great mix of drama that had me on the edge of my seat (so much so that I didn't put it down). I really enjoyed this book. This series will always be at the top of my favorite series ever! Definitely a great read that I recommend.
Ive got glimpses of Mason thru the other books and Eve didn't disappear all!!!!! He is totally alpha and a great dad and brother. Ryan is totally sweet and has a heart of gold and they make the perfect pair. Definitely one of my favorite of the series.
I have been waiting for Mason's story for so long and it was well worth the wait!! I love this author and this series and am so excited to see what is next!
I loved this book you don’t get any club action going on in this book the club is there just drama free you do however get a sweet love story mason and Ry are just so good together and I love the epilogue
I enjoyed getting to know a little more about Mason and his past. We have had some snippets of him in past books. His next door neighbor is Ryan, the secretary from the school his son attends. Loved their story!
More of a romcom/na romance. Ryan isn't the strong female character you would think, she is very wishy-washy. Mason, how do you describe him? Almost 40, way too nice, part time single father, VP of the MC, and a total hound dog. Their characters lacked just something for me. The ending of the book is confusing, considering you find yourself in the epilogue without knowing. It was supposed to be the 12th birthday of Thorne then it turns into his patching party at 19.
