“I will win. I will kill them all.”

When the Dalton Agency private investigation firm is tasked with assisting the defence in a murder case, Warren Pearce relishes the chance to return to criminal investigations. He also takes on a part time role of carer for his infant daughter when his wife, Beth, returns to work at the FBI lab. Life has never been so full, or so satisfying.

As Warren works through the investigation, more questions arise about the identity of the killer. He becomes convinced their client is innocent, but he must find proof. He teams up with Sarah in the hunt for the truth, but the evidence they need eludes them.

An attack gone wrong leaves the true murderer vulnerable. And dangerous.

Can Warren and Sarah find the evidence they seek? And who’s desperate plea will finally expose the killer?

At the beginning of December 2013, I sat down at my computer and started typing. I had a story in my head that insisted on being released and four months later I had written my first novel.

Writing is not new for me. I've been writing since my teenage years. It is only now that I have felt the urge to take it more seriously.

My credentials? I don't have a degree in writing and I'm not published extensively (yet). My first job was the Australian Army Reserve and I left only to enlist in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). I loved the life and it has left me with an interest in the things military and law enforcement related. Another passion in my life is research. I love to find out about things and have been doing that since high school. Not content with set assignments, I used to take up my own research projects on a wide range of topics. So rest assured, if it's in one of my stories, I have researched it extensively. Having said that, there will be occasions when I need to take a bit a license, bend the truth to fit the story.

I love writing. I love letting the story inside me come to life on a page. It's intoxicating. The pure pleasure I experience is something incredible, so I will keep writing for as long as the stories keep appearing in my mind. If someone else enjoys reading what I write, then that increases the joy I feel. Winners all round!

In brief:

Age: Old enough to have grown three grown children.

Lives: Tasmania, Australia.

Inspiration for stories: Music of all kinds, overheard comments, strange news items.

Interests: Motorsport, reading, research.

Guilty pleasures: Self-confessed stationery junkie.
