About the author

Tony DiGerolamo is a New Jersey screenwriter, novelist, comic book writer, game designer and comedian. He is best known for his work on The Simpsons and Bart Simpson comic books. He has also been a joke writer for Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, a scriptwriter for Space Ghost: Coast to Coast and a blogger for Comedy Central’s Indecision website. He has written the screenplays including Mafioso: The Father, The Son starring Leo Rossi.
His novels, Fix in Overtime and The Undercover Dragon are available through Padwolf Publishing. After publishing his own comic books (Jersey Devil, The Travelers and The Fix) with SJRP, he eventually got a publishing deal with Kenzer & Company. Kenzer published The Travelers. Tony also wrote Everknights (another Kenzer comic book), as well as the Hacklopedia of Beasts (Volumes 1 thru 8) and Slaughterhouse Indigo (an adventure for the Hackmaster RPG). He also adapted Mark Twain's Personal Reflections of Joan of Arc for Campfire. Performing in the Philly comedy scene for over ten years, Tony performed and directed such improv groups as Next Line Improv, The Cabal, The Ninjas and Bulletproof Giraffe.
Besides writing for various comedy websites, he had a long running comics review column in Knights of the Dinner Table magazine. He was the marketing director for comics publisher, Silent Devil. Now that Lewis is a member of the family and is living with his cousin, Hem, in the old farmhouse he has started working at the shop. While normally things are slow he is determined to bring in some cash to the place so Hem will stop borrowing money from him for things. Except Hem likes to visit the Happy Hand, which normally wouldn't be a problem if they didn't have a whole bus load of tourists on their way in. In order to satisfy everyone on his own Lewis makes another deal with Aunt Christie. While this deal is innocent enough more witches will soon be coming to the Piney's and they are in search of the boy Christie promised them. Can Lewis and his new cousins stop this new foe?

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed most of book one, baring a certain gross event, and this book was actually better than book one. They are still hunting devils, but there are also shape-changing witches.

My biggest pet peeve with this book actually took place within the first chapter. A guy is heading down the road through the woods and his truck breaks down. His 9 or 10 year old daughter hears some wolves howling and calls them doggys. Then while he is fixing the truck she hops out of the truck and runs into the woods after these animals then stands there watching them calling them doggys. I don't know if this child was mentally behind or what but my almost 6 year old doesn't even act like that or walk like that. My almost 2 year old sure. And my nephew who is eight wouldn't call a wolf doggy or run into the woods at night after them. It just isn't realistic from an age appropriate standpoint.

Other than this the book was enjoyable. We have witches that can appear as something else, more devils to fight, and a lot of feminism. Can't say I loved that last part, but there are all kinds, even the extremists like in this book. I didn't like Lewis as much in this book as I did in the first one. Especially his choices at the end of the book, but we will see if he changes for the better later on. As before the writing in this book is great and the story is engaging. You want to know what happens next and find it hard to put down.

Thank you so much to tony Digerolamo for the pdf download of the pineys book 2 witch piney are you? the Galloway family is back on the hunt looking for devils this time there also hunting for witches a lot happens in this story it has guns, devil hunting, witches and spells another great book the writing was good and so was the story also it seems like there is a Galloway cousin with every job to bail you out of trouble in this gun-toting story the cousin’s burn down part of the pine barrens, shelly goes to college, Milton and Lewis go to work and hemingway engages is his, er, uh, other “hobby”. I love how the story was written I would get so excited when they killed a devil this book is so much fun and exciting like an action movie but with a lot of horror fast paced edge of your seat story so grab some blue berries if you have any and enjoy the ride I would recommend this story to my friends and family LAURA8759.

Hmmmm, witches never die…
Book 2 again has Lewis trying to help out but we’ll as we know it won’t turn out well.
This book again starts a little tame but then as always it’s the characters bickering amongst themselves and it’s so true to form amongst big families that you can hear it in your head. It’s a fun series as I told the author and now it’s onto the next in the series ,can’t wait.
If you’re in Jersey,Philadelphia you really need to read these

Much more captivating than book 1. This one had a lot better grammar and language in general. Character development continues with all the original characters and makes everything a lot more entertaining.

Book 2 is another fun outing with the Galloways. Hemingway continues to be a source of hilarious chaos and bravado. Lewis finding his place in the family was an interesting ride - bordering on dark at the end. And for a book entirely about devils, that's saying something!
