Although this is one of my favorites, I love the whole Value Tales series. I had them as a child and discovered that lessons can be learned by looking at others lives. I plan on reading these to my own children as they get old enough.
I really enjoyed this story about the origins of the Mayo Clinic. I wish the spirit of giving and sharing were still as strong as when the clinic first began, but regardless, the clinic still does amazing work in medicine today.
Proofread many books in this series for the library. They are fantastic true stories (with a touch of fiction) for young readers (gr 1-3) I really really loved them.
