He’s her husband by convenience... But their love is real. They’re of two different species in a union they’re not allowed to consummate... But somehow, they’ll find their way to a Happily Ever After…
Is being together worth giving up immortality? Or their very souls?
Under the skies of California Wine Country comes this vampiric tale of a three-hundred-year-old love story like Romeo and Juliet, as two star-crossed lovers break all the rules, while the Dark and Golden Vampire wars loom. Under the burden of a centuries-old prophecy in the newly discovered Book of Spawn, either a miracle or a tragedy will be born.
For Lionel must sacrifice himself to protect her to the bitter end and Phoebe will have her Romeo, no matter the cost.
S. HAMIL, Sharon Hamilton’s twisted sister, writes paranormal romance with a central theme of the healing power of true love. Her characters from multiple worlds including Heaven and the Underworld are angels, dark angels, vampires and some who are not quite sure what they are. They follow a bumpy path to redemption, but not exactly what they taught you in Sunday School!
This is a really amazing book and not my normal genre but I have become addicted to Sharon's Golden Vampires Series. There are twists and turns and you have to keep turning the page's to see what happens next. There is an on going war with darkness but will immortality win in the end. Even though every book in this series is a standalone I feel you would benefit by reading the books in order to understand the back story better. Sharon is an amazing author and talented writer and I have read many of her books and I have never been disappointed. I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will not be disappointed. I Voluntarily Reviewed an ARC Copy Of This Book.
If 40 years ago someone told me I would like reading Vampire books, I would have told they are nuts. But again Sharon Hamilton was not writting back then. Her books are great, her stories are what dreams are made of and heck her characters are fantastic. Not much else I can say, do not want to give anything away, but be warned the story is fantastic, well I like it, and plan on re reading it a few times.

Midnight Bite is book 4 in the Golden Vampires of Tuscany series by Sharon Hamilton. While a standalone reading the books in order gives you a better understanding of the Golden Vampires and the ongoing war with Darkness.
Lionel and Phoebe are star crossed lovers involved in a 300 yr old prophecy and will they find a way to to their HEA or will immortality win??
Short continuation of Phoebe and Lionel's romance. Married for convenience but forbidden to consummate the marriage. Bummer! Lots of different kinds of vampires running around -- Golden, dark, and just plain old vampires. Loved the characters although I would have liked to smack Phoebe upside the head a couple times. She could really be dense. One little thing about editing -- a few commas are desperately needed in places. Great story though and I really enjoyed it.
Lionel and Phoebe are married for her safety, but they feel a love for another that should make them fated. Lionel is a dark and she a golden, they’re mating is forbidden. A traveler is out to find Phoebe and steal her blood for himself. Lionel is trying to find a way to allow them to be together forever and keep her safe from those that are after her. Will they be able to be together when death is knocking at the door?
A poetic story of a forbidden love. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and series. They do need to be read in order to get the complete story. So many twists and turns plenty of heat heart and family in this paranormal read. Sharon Hamilton weaves a story that will keep you engaged and immersed in the in the lives of these characters.
This is the continuation of Lionel and Phoebe’s story, and it’s a good one; filled with intriguing drama and steamy passion. The characters and storyline are well drawn and captivating, especially if you have been reading the whole series. It’s an exciting and appealing tale which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Midnight Bite, book 4 of The Golden Vampires of Tuscany written by S. Hamil aka Sharon Hamilton and narrated by JD Hart. We finally get to the bottom of all of the mysteries and are able to identify our bad guy. I sure hope that Lionel and Phoebe are able to be together after all of the hell that they have been through! Let’s enjoy spending some more time with JD Hart and looking for our HEA!
This was the first paranormal book that I've read by Sharon Hamilton and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Though I believe I need to read the first three books to truly understand everything in this series
This story continues the story of Lionel and Phoebe story. He's her protector. This book is filled with drama, romance and twists and turns. You should start at the beginning of the series to understand what's going on. Nice you start you won't want to stop reading. I've always read Sharon's Seal books and loved them and I'm enjoying this series also!
I had previously read the ebook and written a review which I will include below. This review is about the audio version.
It really did take me some time to get used to listening to this book. Everyone sounded like they just stepped out of one of those really old Dracula movies. You know, like the black and white ones. It waa kind of strange, but the narrator would then use his regular voice to read the parts that weren't spoken by a character. I think it really did help so that the vampire voice wasn't too overwhelming.
Bottom line, this is a really entertaining book whether by ebook or audio. I easily was caught up in the story.
I voluntarily listened to and reviewed this audio book.
*******Ebook Review******* Vampire books are not the first books I choose if I have an option. This book was pretty good. It is the 4th book in the series. I guess it can be read as a standalone, but I get the sense it would be better if the other books were read in order.
It sounded vaguely familiar to me and I realized that I had read the novella, "Christmas Bites". That is why I recognized some of the background details.
There are plenty of twist, turns, and unexpected events that happen in this book. The characters are interesting, but I found the plot to be confusing at times. This had nothing to do with the writing. The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced it is better to read the books in order.
It also has a number of sexy, steamy scenes. Midnight Bite was engaging, well written and I did enjoy it. I believe I will take my own advice, start with book one, and then re-read this book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
