10/30/2021 ~ A quest format in which the Lost Bots search for other tribes like each of them. The quest took too long and there was no characterization of the different bots. I did appreciate the lesson at the end - the tribe we're in might be the best. The structure of the story would have been better if there were fewer stops on the quest, fewer bots, and more development of the personality of the bots included.
I'll still get this for my elementary library, because I think it will find early readers who are drawn by the bots.

Of all the books I’ve read to my son this might be the worst. Decent enough message, but absolutely ridiculous character names and repetition that made the experience grueling to get through. In fact I skipped over several pages to make it go by faster.

This cracked my son up start to finish. It is definitely a light take on the Transformers, but it worked for him.
