"Luckily for you, I just have more experience than most in dealing with your particular brand of asshole"Really liked that the author made the H true to his species and not some dreamy substitute.
His skin was a deathly shade of gray, latticed over with scars, one almost bisecting his long, crooked nose. His eyes were sunken and black, framed by stringy black hair that was tied back in a matted mockery of a braid, and his neck was thick and corded, angling down to sloped, bulbous shoulders.I had to remind myself often that the H was a different species and had survived an epically tragic childhood in order to forgive his deceit. Could have used more groveling at the end, but still really enjoyed the overall story!
