Castello Moran spent his life in Delta Force. The former Team Lynx Commander now leads Task Force Ambra targeting former military personal gone rogue. When a routine job in The Congo leads Castello to the side of himself he had suppressed for a lifetime, will he find the courage to acknowledge it and to claim the mechanic making him forget every rule he had put in place under Don't Ask Don't Tell so long ago?
Axel Shaw keeps his head down and his mouth shut. He has spent his life building bikes. He couldn't care less about drugs on the streets and all that jazz. He is more concerned where his sister and her kid are. Chasing a lead takes him to a country that he never should have been in and his ass in more trouble than he’d ever managed to find before. He takes the rescue Castello and his team offer and he’s grateful for it. But now he has another problem. He really should not be figuring out how fast he can get the sexy assed ex-Delta Operator in his bed... right?
Missions are never easy, and this one is turning more personal by the second. Castello now has more on the line than he has ever had before, and his heart makes him question if his Salvation can really be a Sinner?
Please Note: Sinner is the first book in a series with an overreaching series ARC and a HFN / slight cliffhanger ending.
Annabella Stone and Bella Stone are the alter egos of a wife and mom, who was lucky enough to find happy ever after with her own personal hero.
Annabella loves to write Military Romance and Romantic Suspense where warriors love harder when bullets fly. She believes in love at first sight and wants everyone to have the happy ever they deserve. Even if they have to dodge bullets and fight with everything that they are to get it.
Born and raised in Ireland, Annabella has a Grá for a good story and the breakfast blaa, but funnily enough, prefers Jack Daniels to Irish whiskey. Having lived across 7 countries and 3 continents over the last thirty years, she loves to explore new places and cultures. In her world, coffee is king, and she is 100% sure it deserves it's own food group.
Annabella is owned by a pack of malamutes, whom she loves to both work and show. If you can't find her at the computer writing, chances are she and her woofers have escaped to enjoy at day at a dog show, or they are on a mountain trail with the dryland rig or the sled, depending on the time of year.
Annabella's motto is "Live life like a malamute who found the gate open, but take the time to enjoy the sights while you're running."
Sounded promising but the head hopping was driving me crazy. It went from clearly defined POV changes to multiple changes within the paragraphs. Add in the twitching cocks happening from their first meeting during a tense rescue op, plus a and I’m done. YMMV.
A good start as the team attempt to rescue Axel from the jungle. Although the start contained a lot of names and information overload which lost me a bit. Action and lust at first sight with a bit of sassyines which I loved. This is a great drama romance for good guys vs the badies. Includes both POVs and an HEA ending. • military • bi- sexual mc • good vs bad • humour scenes • action • HEA ending Commander Castello leads a mission in the Congo chasing the diamond mob., but the misson gets pear shaped. Axel 36 yr was looking for his missing sister and being in the wrong place he needed to get out.
I love these guys and I love these teams. I still have to go back and read the others but you're missing out if not reading them. These guys become like family out on ops and always have each other's backs through thick and thin. And I love that camradarie. It's a great set of books that all connect somehow and I love them all.
Now this was a great start for this spin off series. Annabella Stone never stops amazing me with what she will come up with next and how she incorporates Team Panther and all of of the other guys like Rock, Griff, and so many more from her collection of books into each new series! I can never get enough and I am always on pins and needles waiting for the next release of what she has up her sleeve.
Salvation’s Sinner is the first book in Task Force Ambra series. This book primarily revolves around Castello (task force ambras boss man) and Axel. These two meet in the most unexpected place, The Congo in Africa. Castello and his team is on a mission to retrieve a man that they know is involved in the Blood Diamond trade. But as they are awaiting his arrival they notice a man that does not look as if he belongs there. Especially with th patch that he is wearing. A patch that is all to familiar to them. After getting facial recognition, there is only one option for them, contact Griff andsee what he wants his team to do about their unexpected guest.
Griff knows that Axel being in the jungle has to have something to do with his missing nephew and sister. So he asks Castello and his men to get Axel back and return him stateside so they can find out what Axel has found out. Only problem is instantaneously Castello is feeling an attraction and a pull to A left that he has never felt towards anyone else. Worse yet, he has not decided if Axel is on the right side of the law or not. One thing he does know is he and his team are going to do what they can to try and help Axel find his missing sister and niece. Especially after the intel they find.
With each new piece of information that Cas’ team finds on his sister, new twists form and along with it the unexpected tid bit of information as to who is the father of his nephew. Danger lurks at each twist and turn. There is way more to this story then any of them are aware of but Cas cannot walk away especially now that he is getting closer to Axel then he thought he ever would with anyone else.
Bullets fly, and danger is steadily increasing. There is more questions the answers. Will two people from different walks of life be able to find love with one another? Or is everything that Axel is going through and the fact that Cas is active military going to be too much for these two to handle?
This was another great start to what is going to be another incredible series. I cannot wait to see what is going to happen next. I know this will not be the last of these two and that there is probably more to his story that will unfold along the way in other books! I cannot wait to see what Annabella has up here slweve next!! Incredible read!!
Everything about this story felt rushed - from the connection between Castello and Axel to the actual plot to their relationship. In the mad rush of this book, I never felt like I got to know either character really well or understand their connection. Also, I won't give spoilers, but the ending left a lot to be desired. There was almost no feeling of resolution and many loose ends left. Even with this book being part of a series, the ending didn't feel like it was done with intention. I got more of a feeling that the author rushed so much to tell the story that they ran out of steam at the end.
Also, a warning to readers new to this author - start with her other books. The absolutely enormous cast of secondary characters and how they relate to each other are impossible to keep track of and without that information, it is difficult to understand how these characters fit into the overarching story. In the end, this story left me unsatisfied and disappointed in almost every way. I did give a star for being relatively well-written despite the weaknesses in the story and the characters.
As always another great story from Annabella, my only grizzle is that it was far too short. There wasn’t enough of a connection made between Cas and Axel. It was as if 30% of the the end of their story has been removed from the file. There was a rush to nowhere. The way the last words of the book ended you could be left thinking there must be another book about their relationship. This seems to be a running trait in the last two or three books. Each book ends too abruptly leaving me a bit deflated and wtf. I do hope this is not now the norm. Annabella’s earlier books showed more about a couples journey through there relationship and definitely lots more sexy, sensual scenes. We are lucky recently to get one or two love scenes. Please bring back the wonderful enveloping love lives of the guys.
This Author brings depth of the characters to living beings adds in tough topics and edge of your seat suspense a book for most!
Castello Moran is the Team lead for Ambra Task Force (Griffin slip I kept wanting to say Alpha) yep Alphas indeed! He has a team to protect his family! A son that makes his world, but something missing and he doesn't even know it. He on a mission when he noticed a civilian being locked up. Confirm it's Panther family and he has IOU with the. Damn rescue mission under way. Axel rescued & he wants to go back he needs his sister home. The events, special ops, rescue, kidnapped, and so much more. This Author Annabelle Stone really brings the characters to life and the action it's like a 3D movie. I really enjoying her series! More reviews @my2centsbooklover Thanks
I can always count on Annabella Stone to create an interesting, jam packed story that surrounds a boatload of Alpha males, their loved ones and the hard hitting action and danger as well as steamy encounters that I've come to love. Drug cartels, blood diamond smugglers, hostage & kidnap extractions make the action hard hitting, gripping and intense. You'll definitely get an adrenaline rush. In Salvation's Sinner, the Task Force Ambra team is introduced. The team leader, Castello Moran is a battle hardened soldier who keeps his feelings locked down tight. That is until he and his team rescue Axel Shaw, a man that he can't or doesn't want to resist. Axel is not sure what to make of this mountain of a man whose emotions are somewhat mercurial. He just knows that he's drawn to him like no other.
As always, sooo good! Force Ambra found a man when executing a job and the tech found out it was a relative of someone we all knew too well. it happen that guy was searching for information about his missing sister and her kid. So they decided to help him to found his sister. with a new intrigue about cartel, and many alphabet guys (dea, atf, ambra, delta, phoenix). wondering where this series goes and who is nice and who is not. note to myself : read the previous book before the new one will help understand who is who. My memories was not very good at remembering all those fabulous people! But I was so please to see the previous characters appears!
I'm a fan of this series and all of the offshoots . I really enjoyed the book but it felt so rushed and unfinished. I'm fine with a certain amount of cliffhangers and I know that the story is continuing but this was nowhere near a complete book. There was absolutely no resolution between Castello and Axel. There was no resolution to the story with the sister and her kids. It all just felt so rushed and unfinished. I'm hoping that the next book does a better job with the love story as well as the plot.
Once again Annabella Stone starts a new series off with a bang. Bringing to life characters that the reader will instantly fall in love with and want them to get their HEA is a something Ms. Stone excels at. The deep dark Castello who has always kept his love life on the back burner and the highly emotional Axel who just wants answers and revenge are the perfect pair. The story sucks you in and does not let go and the ending just makes you want more and more in the series. A wonderful start to a new series.
I enjoyed this action packed read up till the last couple of chapters, I got a bit lost and confused with those. From Axel's call to Griff it took him almost 3 months to get to the farm if it was 3 months later in Castello's last chapter and Axe had only been there 3 days. What was he doing in that time after being threatened and his business blown up? Such a shame coz with the hot and cold between the two of them I would have liked to get a slightly clearer end. Exciting, suspenseful and full of twists.
This just isn't for me. I was excited to find a book with so many reader stars, but it didn't work for me. I didn't especially connect with either of the main characters, and the writing style was not only filled with head jumping (which I find incredibly annoying) but also a ton of *telling* (also annoying). On top of all that, after skimming (and jumping huge portions, so I'm sure I missed stuff) to the end, it felt like things weren't really resolved satisfactorily. All in all, I'll assume I'm missing out on this author.
I have read the previous series of Red Squadron and Team Pantha which I devoured and we're all at least 4 star reads. I love Annabella's style of writing, light spice, lots of action and detail, I also love that she switches pov within chapters rather than each chapter per person, all these things remain true in these books however I didn't think it flowed as well as the other ones I have read and the love story element of the book between Cas and Axel just wasn't believable to me. Also the bond this team has doesn't touch the other ones and I found it disappointing sadly.
Way too much military speaking with codes and shit that I have no idea what they are talking about. But it’s a military book! you say. I am well aware, but if you’re going hard on military lingo then, at least, make me a translation page somewhere so I can know what the hell the MC is saying at any given point or make whatever is happening in the background interesting enough for me to ignore the lingo.
I think I should have read this series before now. It seems this story happens before the other series I have already read take place. This story was good but with the way the people kept jumping around in their talking to each other. Half the time I wasn't sure who was talking. so confusing. I like the general set up of the story but they way it keeps jumping it threw me off and wondering if the rest of the series is going to be the same.
I couldn’t get enough of this book, it ended to soon. Castello and Axel are great characters to start this new series off by Annabella Stone. I loved the interaction of all the guys on team Lynx with a few Panthers thrown in. The best time you will have reading this story in my opinion. I look forward to the next book in the series.
I’m sure this storyline will continue in the next book but I wish there was a little more to this book. Krystal has been home for three months so why not give a little of her story and since we know Zelenskyy and Malik’s story I would have liked seeing how they are dealing with Zelenskyy suddenly having a son.
It's so good reading about the guys again. I never get tired of them. Great story lines, awesome characters, humor is perfectly written and packed full of emotions. I can't wait for the next book!!!
So I'm going to give this 4 stars because there are parts where I felt confused. It was difficult to keep up with who was doing what. I won't even talk about that ending. 😶
This is a great story I enjoyed from start to finish only think I have to complain about it finished to soon, but I say that about all. Stories I enjoy. Thank You Annabelle.
So many open issues. What happened with Axel and the cartel in Miami? His shop blown up .. no explanation of how they ended up in Texas.. It was ok .. loved the old characters visiting but it was messy and not coherent
This book seemed somewhat lacking to the others. I didn't get any sexual chemistry. The majority of the story is the Operation and the romance just wasn't there; several kisses and maybe one scene quite late on. I was bored and nearly didn't finish.
Another great book. I can't get enough of these guys and their stories. I have to take breaks to let her write more so I can binge for a while. Worth the time which a compliment from a busy working person.
This author is one of my favourite, and this series meets all my expectations. These alpha males are fierce and love hard. It was an easy 5 stars from me.
This story has plenty of sex but very little romance! Plenty of fighting but little knowledge of why.🤔 This story was very muddle but I preserved to the end😓!
