This is a very readable treatment of evolution and the Christian faith. Those unfamiliar with the idea that faith and science or God and evolution are not mortal enemies will find this book very helpful. Those who already eschew the false dichotomy of creation vs. evolution will still be rewarded with an insightful treatment on how understanding and embracing evolution can actually aid in our moral advancements and journey towards holiness. It is a quick read but with lasting insights.

This was an interesting perspective on the debate within some Christian circles about how recognizing the validity of evolution can actually be something that strengthens your Christian walk; if we share biological and behaviorial characteristics with other creatures, what does this mean for how we can better live out our faith? At times it was a bit frustrating as the author felt that he kept having to placate those who might be offended at such a thought, but all in all this book had a lot of fascinating ideas to think about. It could have been longer with more detail, but I think he does a good job pointing the reader towards other rescources, both classical and modern, that can continue this dialogue.

A unique angle on a contentious issue. Intended to be an 'introductory level' book, but I wish some sections were developed a bit further.
