R.L. Burwick is an aspiring writer of the macabre, scribbling scary little things down on paper and hoping people will find them terrifying. He lives somewhere as well as nowhere, and dreams up nightmares from everywhere.
Truly some bizarre stories. Not scary or chilling horror, just bizarre. Some were over the top icky and gory and didn't really seem to have a point. The last story was not a good ending to the book.
These dark and twisted stories take turns being humorous and delightfully pointed. Like the many rooms of the prince's palace in Edgar Allen Poe's Masque of the Red Death, each is a wonderful twisting part of a labyrinth to get lost in and lose any sense of time.
