Ezra Havlin just wants to be left alone, but it’s the last thing anyone in Bull Creek will allow him to be as suddenly his camp fills with strangers as well as friends he had left behind.

However, when Josh Rayburn discovers his camp, it’s only the beginning of his nightmare. Soon, members of his former special forces team arrive with a little girl in tow—and Ezra is the only one they trust to keep her safe.
Hoyt Cheffron has been kidnapping children with special abilities and selling them on the black market of the Paranormal Underworld. Erin Fletcher is the latest victim, rescued in the nick of time by Para-Force, but that doesn’t mean she’s out of danger.
Ezra just wants to be left alone in his misery, but his former teammates swear he’s the only who can save young Erin from Hoyt, and now, Ezra’s faced with a hard return to his team and save the girl, or turn his back on everyone in order to save his sanity.

I live in sunny Florida where I spend my days taxiing the family to various places while jotting down the many crazy thoughts inside my head. I enjoy a freelance career writing for several magazines sharing some of my interesting viewpoints on life and those around me. I can usually be found on my back porch watching the squirrels chittering at the birds while enjoying a cigar, a scotch, and the many characters that talk to me inside my head.
Another great book to the Bull Creek Chronicles. This one brings Ezra's story. The author brings a cast of strong , well developed characters , some old and some new , and weaves an interesting and emotional story that had me glued to the pages from start to finish. He does a fantastic job pulling you in with his descriptive and detailed writing, moves the story quickly and smoothly and delivers another great book to the series. I loved and would recommend this book/series.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
When Ezra Havlin is trying forget the mission that almost got him killed and killed the young girl he was suppose to protect . Now living off the land and not wanting anyone around . When Josh Rayburn finds him , he does his best to get Ezra into Bull Creek . Without a lot of success until the day that the para - force invades his space with another case and another child that needs to be saved . Will Josh be able to convince Ezra to come into the community and help save the girl . I love the characters in this book, Ezra is a grouchy bear that has been through a really bad trauma that has shaped him . He is actually a sweet guy under it all .The rest of the para force is back and trying to save a young girl . You will fall in love with all of these characters and the town that takes in those that need to get lost to be found. This is a fast read and you will sucked into the story the characters are well written . The author takes us back Bull Creek and its cast of characters . The story is complex and you will be wanting to hug Ezra and then you will want to slap him upside the head because he is so pig headed . This is an emotional story that will have you wanting more from him and the rest of Bull Creek . I love these stories and I can't wait to see what the author does in the next installment . I am hoping crossing fingers we get a Colton story sometime . So if you want a emotional read with lots of snarkiness and sass . Oh and a possessed or not possessed doll this is the story for your winter reading list .
Ezra Havlin is a bear shifter who has chosen to live like a hermit in the woods as he blames himself for the death of a 10-year-old girl he was trying to protect and failed. Hoyt Cheffron, the evil man who killed her, kidnaps special children to sell for profit. Now Ezra only wants to be left alone with his own guilt and suffering for allowing that child to die.
Josh Rayburn tracks him down and tries to get him to come back to civilization with no luck. Then the Para-Force team he had been a member of, paranormals who take difficult cases human agencies cannot deal with, approaches him with another case, all too similar to the one that destroyed both his life and that of a little girl! Now they tell him there is another little girl, grabbed by the same evil kidnapper, and she needs to be saved. This could be a chance for redemption for Ezra. But can they convince him to come out of his isolation and rescue the child? Can he forgive himself for his past mistake? Or is there nothing left of him inside to come back to the living.
There is a powerful message in this story about the effect a community’s love can have on an individual. Seeing them pull together and not allowing Ezra to self-destruct really means so much. It’s what we all need to do when someone needs help and support, and it doesn’t have to be monetary – just love and caring for another person. Grab your copy and see if Ezra can come out of his exile to save a child in danger.
PTSD, untreated can cripple even worse. Ezra former member of Para-Force, self exiled to atone for his perceived failure in the murder of a little girl, Erin under his care, by Hoyt. He is hiding in a rural community, Bull Creek. The 12 member team, rescued Erin from Holt the bad guy. The challenge is to find out who betrayed the team and keep Erin safe until they can find and detain, Hoyt. Cotton/gorilla and Liam/Capuchin monkey are the faces that brought Erin to Bull Creek. Justin, keeping the location of Erin on a need to know limit. Leslie, deputy is aware and helping after being saved by Ezra. Can they keep Erin safe? Will Hoyt find them in Bull Creek? Can they cleanly capture Hoyt? Will they find the mole? Will Bull Creek be a useful hiding place? Absolutely exciting! Wonderful storyline, fantastic group. I eagerly anticipate reading about the rest of the team. Robin brought the missions and the team members to life, well done! I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Bear Necessities by Robbie Cox is about the Para-Force, a military/mercenary group that goes after the criminals other law enforcement can't get to.
Ezra is haunted by the failure of his last mission with Para-Force as they tried to capture a human trafficker. Feeling like it was his fault the victim died, he has been hiding out as a hermit in Bull Creek, Florida. But as we know, when Dimitri, Laniie and the other inhabitants are around, no one is really alone in Bull Creek.
When Ezra's former group shows up wanting his help in protecting another victim, he refuses. He's broken and doesn't trust himself not to lose control of his beast and get another victim killed.
This is well-written with interesting characters, some new and some old friends. Youll find humor and tears as you read this fast paced, easy to follow and gets you right in the middle of things.

BEAR NECESSITIES is the third book in the Bull Creek Chronicles series. Though these will each stand on their own, I recommend reading them all and in the order of release.
Reading this took no time at all, because I couldn’t put it down! Turn the page; turn the page; what happens next; oh no! I’d close my eyes, but then I couldn’t read the next page! LOL Yes, this one was a real page turner, with lots of new characters brought to Bull Creek to assist in the biggest tale yet.
I hope we’re going to get more of the Para Force team!
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Ezra blames himself for the death of a ten year old little girl when he failed to save her from an evil man who kidnaps children with special abilities and sells them to the highest bidder. Now he lives in the woods in Bull Run and just wants to be left alone. But the people of Bull Run will not let him be a lone and then members of his old team shows up with another ten year old girl for him to protect from the same man. Ezra does not want them there and he does not want the responsibility. This is another great story about the people of Bull Run who come together to protect each other and of the Para- Force. I look forward to more from this author.

Ezra had been a member of the Para-Force, a group policing paranormals and humans out of reach for the regular police. For months they had been after one man, Hoyd. A human, selling children with special abilities, after killing their family. When Ezra becomes the reason for one such child to die, he flees into the woods near Bull Creek. But the fight against Hoyd ts taken to his door when another child is targeted.... An action packed story with interesting characters and a great story line. Loved the description of Ezra's struggles and Josh helping him to come to terms. A book of friendship and of a neighbourhood fighting for what is right. Ezra Havlin is living in the woods trying to forget and incident where a young girl died. Para Force is hunting Hoyt Cheffron who has been taking children killing their families and selling them. Ezra Havlin is guilty about the death of the last child Hoyt had taken and is now living in a tent in the woods trying to forget. When two of his teammates arrive with a young girl that had been rescued from Hoyt it brings it all back and he refuses to help but the people in charge of Bull Creek do agree to help. After various people keep visiting him he grudgingly agrees to to help. The main Para Force is trying to find the mole in their team who has been feeding Hoyt information.

Ezra is the bear shifter that lives in the woods of Bull Creek and avoids people like the plague. The only reason we know of him is he saved Lainie from a bullet in a previous book. Josh has been trying to get him to join with the shifters and he flat out refuses to have anything to do with anybody. When his past catches up with him and asks for more than he is willing to give, he has to decide if his solitary life is worth more than a little girl's life. Josh makes me roll with laughter throughout this book. He is so annoying and doesn't stop talking. Ezra is ready to do bad things to him just to get him to shut up! I loved this addition to the series and hope to see more of Ezra. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
I really enjoyed learning about why Ezra is the way he is. I have truly enjoyed learning about the residents of Bull Creek. Everything about this story brings you in and you find yourself getting lost in the pages.
When you learn Erza's story you feel like your heart brakes right along with his. The book is full of excitement from page to page. You find yourself hoping along with the rest of them that everything turns out for the best.
Please come and get lost in Bull Creek with me. Hey Dimitri can I have a cabin to move into. Unlike Josh I don't have a problem having a bonfire when it's hot outside.
Everyone needs people... right? Not according to Ezra who just wants to be left alone. Too bad he is in Bull Creek where others are determined to let him know he is wanted and needs more than just a tent in the woods. Unfortunately the past comes back to bit him in the tail, but the good news is that there are many who will stand with him. This book was an exciting read and I was unable to put it down. I stayed on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. Oh there is a major creep factor that made its way into my dreams but that was not as it appears to be..... no spoilers given :) I loved the way the story plays out.
Bear Necessities by Robbie Cox was an exciting, angst-filled, pins-and-needles story of overcoming fear and self-loathing. It follows Ezra, a bear shifter, who is dealing with his failure to protect. Now, they’ve returned…and are asking him to do it all again….but, he can’t….
I LOVED this deeply troubled man, faced with his own internal demons. Will he be able to overcome it all and start living again? Wonderful read!!!!

Robbie Cox writes a brilliant story of Bull Creek, and its inhabitants. However, someof those inhabitants don't want to be part of the community. Some people just want to be left alone. This is a fantastic story of facing what needs to be done.
The characters are wonderful, funny and realistic in their interactions. The story flows easily, giving enough information to keep the reader guessing, and page turning.
A solid five star review.

Well written fast paced story full of action, danger, humour and community
This was quite an emotional read and showcases how the Bull Creek community comes together to help save a little girl, and in the process, also Ezra, a bear shifter haunted by a traumatic past. There's action, good natured poking, family, friends, danger and a magic twist that I did not expect. It all came together in such a great fashion that this story was a one-sit read for me. I look forward to seeing what's next, not only for Ezra but also Bull Creek. Good fun!
Ezra is a bear on the edge. Hiding out in the woods, he can avoid most people, but not the memories that haunt him or a certain persistent aggravating panther. Forced out of hiding to save a young girl, Ezra faces his past and learns to accept his mistakes.
I’m looking forward to more Para-Force books. There are so many interesting characters with stories that need to be told.
This was a great book! Poor Ezra has a lot to work through. After something tragic happens, Ezra has left his job, his friends and seems to have given up on life. When his friends need his help to protect a little girl, can he overcome his own feelings of guilt to step up and help save her life? Can the Bull Creek community help him find his way and help little Erin in the process?
This is my first book I have read by Robbie Cox, and also as a shifter book. If I could give this one 10 stars or more I would. I really enjoyed it, and all the characters. Its a series to 2 others, which I didn't read yet, but its not hard to follow what is going on. If you like this genre, mystery, magic and intrigue, then this is one to read. Its fantastic.! Im a fan of Robbie Cox ,and cant wait to read more of his books
The author has given us so many wonderful characters. Para-Force, a special group of paranormals fighting together to take on difficult cases that human agencies cannot handle, is on the hunt for a man who steals special children and sells them to the highest bidder. Each of our characters have things they need to deal with but, with the help of their friends they may make it through.

The Para-Force rescues a kidnap victim, but realizes there must be a leak. They turn to Ezra for backup. However, Ezra has not gotten over past trauma and doesn’t want to risk any more lives. The danger Hoyt poses gives him no choice but to put his life on the line again. Bear Necessities is an exciting novel that I recommend and suggest reading the entire series.

Bear shifter Ezra is doing his best to become a hermit but the good folks of Bull Creek aren’t having it. They keep coming by and messing with his peace and quiet and now his past has come to Bull Creek. I really felt for Ezra and felt his pain. This story will tear at your heartstrings and leave you feeling good.
Hoyt was stealing paranormal gifted children after killing their families and selling them to a group that used their powers to take down humans. They also found the one who was telling the bad guy where everyone was going to be so he could get out. But Ason was killed so he couldn’t tell on hi team to the bad guys, they caught Hoyt and saved the little girl.
Specter Brotherhood led by Hoyt was kidnapping paranormally gifted children after killing their families. Enter Para-Force, Ezra the hermit, and the Bull Creek community to solve the problem. Good story with well defined characters. Good read.

Book three in The Bull Creek Chronicles series a well written action story that kept me on the edge of my seat. Ezra Havlin can not forgive himself for the death of a child but Josh Rayburn a friend will not give up on helping him. I want to read the next book. What a story. Ezra is hiding out and hiding away from people trying to forget the mission that almost killed him, and others died. Now his old group is back, and they need his help again. Can he keep his bear under control for the mission? Fast-paced shifter read with plenty of drama and steam. The story really draws you in and the emotion grabs you. I really liked it.
