I'm about to face my greatest nightmare.

Nicholas Ryder, the world's most powerful Fireborn, is about to destroy the world. And I'm the only chance we have to stop him.

He stole my childhood -- threw my sisters and I in a dark cage and ripped my family apart. Now, he's got his sights set on my new family, and I'll die before letting him lay a hand on them.

I've spent my entire life on the run. Now, it's time to take the fight to him. No more hiding. No more fear. I'm going to take back my power and live in the light.

If I don't, the world as we know it will end.

Magic Rising is the fifth book in the Touched By Dragon urban fantasy series.

This book features a strong heroine, a sexy, powerful hero, and intense action.

When Ashley Meira was a little girl, she used to dream about flying with dragons. When she was a teenager, she used to imagine skulking around with vampires. Now, she's too lazy to get off her couch, much less join the paranormal. So, she just writes about them from the comfort of her own home.

After reading books 1-4, I did not finish the last one. That says a lot. When I invest so much time in a series, I normally finish it. But every book was less interesting and the series become more boring.

Sophia comes to after the plane crash, she can't find anyone. She looks around and decides to go further out. That is when she comes across the vampires. They act like they are helping her, but things don't add up. When things get out of control, other come out to help her. But they aren't there to help.
The others find Sophia in time to protect her from the guys. Sophia learns that they could not find her sister. They sense others coming and have to run. Sophia doesn't want to leave her sister behind.
They find out what Nicholas, decide to go inform the council. Sophia and Fiona feel like they should be there. The council start to make plans for their own safety and give the permission for the group to go after Nicholas. All Sophia can think of is her sister, even though the others know that someone else needs to be rescued.
Will Sophia be able to rescue her sister or have to leave her. Will she learn how to defeat Nicholas. It will take everyone and everything they have to survive

This is an excellent ending to this series. The author pulls you in right away, keeps up a great pace and plenty of action. There is something in this series for everyone. I am excited to read the spin-offs from the characters, would love a series on Damien as well.

I received an ARC copy of this book, this is my honest review

Must read series!!

Magic Rising is the Fifth book in the series and what a great book it is!! Ashley Meira is an incredible Author! I believe it is a Divine gift to have such immense talent at developing characters I couldn't help but get deeply attached to. Also, her intricate, magickal world building is definitely a rare talent she's been given and has thankfully chosen to share with us mere mortals! This book cleverly addressed questions I've had throughout the series. What a wild ride this story line has taken me on! I have loved every high, every low, and yes, even the "lulls" along the way! I am excited for more books from this Author! I highly suggest you give this series a try! You won't be disappointed!!

Worth the wait

Ok so I loved this book and yes I know we’ve had to wait quite some time for it but I can honestly say it was worth it when I got this book and started reading it I was captivated straight back into this word with all its twists and turns. I could barely put the book down and read it in a day. I will be honest and say that more than once through the book Sophia did get on my nerves but that felt true to her character. One thing about this book and the rest of the series is that the secondary characters are awesome they feel well fleshed out and a true part of this story. Can’t wait for the next series in this universe.

YES!!!

I wasn’t prepared for that author’s note at the end but I’m ecstatic!!! So for the most part this book is still heartbreaking. Sophia had a lot of depression and going over her choices and trying to come to terms with everything that’s happened and is still going on. But she keeps on keeping on. And I’m so proud of her. This book made all the heartaches worth it. It’s not all rainbows and everything is perfect but it’s still beautiful! I just say- I’m hooked and I’m definitely going to stay a fan!!

Amazing series

So I'm an avid reader and love fantasy, but it has to be believable. Of course the most amazing magic in this series is the characters. I fell in love with them and can't wait for Fiona's stories. Thanks so much for being able to put these great characters down on paper for the rest of us Ashley Meira, you're very very talented!

Couldn’t handle all the snark. Page after page after page…and at the oddest times! Timelines don’t add up, major loose ends, boring fight scenes. I kind of wish I hadn’t even started the series. Now I’m in too deep in the blot and have to keep going, just to get resolution on at least one loose end!

Finally!

This much anticipated end of a series book did not disappoint! Full of our feisty heroine, her friends and family have us one back of an epic ending. Dad to see them go, but it seems we will get to meet them again as a new spinoff series comes for us to enjoy!

This series was phenomenal. I have a problem with series because of the wait between books to finish a series, but this was worth the wait. I can't wait for Fiona and Diana's series to start. Hopefully it won't be too long.

Good read

Fun, action packed, well written story. A few editing issued which were annoying as they interrupted the flow. Ending was fine - not a happy ever after but not bad either. Will be keen to read Fiona's story.

Good series

But lots of unanswered questions, I hope will be answered in the next series with Fiona and Diana. Would be good to find out what happened to their parents and about Bane

Brilliant series

I absolutely loved this series, I love Sophia she had a great personality. After struggling for the 8 years after she escaped , she turned into a fantastic heroine. I also loved Fiona she was great too and could kick ass like Sophia. I look forward to reading Fiona's trilogy too.

I was unsure of Dianna's story to start with , but in the end she got her sister back although she is in jail. I also look forward to reading her trilogy too and see where she ends up.
