Cressida Mitsok is a successful corporate lawyer about to make partner at a large city law firm. The only problem will be the partners taking issue with her father serving time for white-collar crime, though no charges were laid against Cressida.
But during her partnership interview, the lights go out -- everywhere. Three NSW coal-fired power stations have been blown up, and the boss's daughter, Joanne, is among those responsible. The boss makes it clear that Cressida's partnership dream now rides on her defending Joanne.

November 6, 2019This is a great book and it is very difficult to put it down when you start reading! It is fast paced and there is some brilliant material for lawyers, non lawyers - almost a cross between 'Bonfire of the Vanities' and 'Hell Has Harbour Views'. The plot is dynamic, engaging and kept me intrigued from start to finish. I really liked the heroine and the main characters were realistic and good fun. This book is a MUST READ.

June 3, 2020This book surprised me. I wasn't expecting suspense,and I got suspense in spades.I couldn't put it down.
What adds to the suspense is that it is credible.
The police and the prison system can do what they want to you, they are a law unto themselves.
But it is the ending that is stunning, and surprising. Because it is possible.
It's a book on the edge of today and tomorrow.
Read it, you won't regret it, and it'll do you good!

I loved this book. After 1-2 chapters, I didn’t want to put it down. But I also didn’t want it to finish. Such a great characters and storyline - relevant and engaging. Can’t wait for the next book by the author.

I really enjoyed this book. Real, honest, relatable female lead. Beautifully and descriptively written. pictures painted with finesse, informative and fun to read.
