Frosted. Whipped. Buttered. was the sugar rush I didn't know I needed. It was cute, sexy, and definitely left me wanting more of Greer and Rich. Their transition from former FWB to a committed relationship was seamless and drama free. I love the shoutout they gave to Charlie and Nixon. When CCJ said Frosted. Whipped. Buttered. was a short short, she meant exactly that. It was short and to the point.

🧈My thoughts: Frosted. Whipped. Buttered: An Equilibrium Novellette - This was short but good.
🦃 Plus One - I may have been biased since the best friend shared my name but this story made me laugh a few times.
⏪️ Press Rewind - This was okay.
I was going to read Grow Something first but once I discovered it was tied to a series, that I've only read book 3 of, I decided to read Holiday in Heights first thinking it was independent and I could catch up on the series before starting Grow Something. I couldn't find Holiday in Heights on any lists so it wasn't until I started and looked up Frosted. Whipped. Buttered that I discovered all of these stories are Equilibrium novellettes and part of the series. So I'm going to continue to read them out of order. They are super short the kind where the story just ends. Only the first story has sex.
Recommend to others: Sure. These are quick little story breaks.

This was a very short intro to Greer and Rich’s relationship. These two have known each other since college, and years later decided to take their pastry skills and open a bakery together. They’ve been friends with benefits when both are single, but Rich is ready to take things to a more official level.
I can see why this wasn’t a full length novella/novel, because there really wasn’t much to say. They went from friends with bennies to wanting to actually make it work, and they get their HEA.
Ok the bakery name and their situation!?!? Too Cute!!!! This just put me in the mood for more FWB (or accidental pregnancy). Reading CCJ and being in The Heights will always be my happy place.

"Frosted, Whipped.Buttered: An Equilibrium" by Christina C. Jones
My Rationalization:
What an enjoyable quick read love story where Rich and Greer were friends and business partners but were taking on a new relationship as lovers in this 'Equilibrium' short read. So, if you are looking for a funny, cute, Halloween quick read, you have come to the right place because this read will have you laughing out loud with this sweet cute story.
This book was short and sweet like the author said! It was so cute and I even enjoyed the language and style of writing which was realistic. I definitely would love to read more about Rich and Greer ! I also loved their relationship; business partners/ FWB which unique something I never heard of before
I definitely needed more of Greer and Rich. I need a whole beginning, middle, and end. But as much as I wanted all that, CCJ left me satisfied with the short and sweet story. Friends with benefits turned more. I love to see it. I never wanted to taste a cinnamon roll so bad.
3.5 Stars....Awww this ended too soon. We had just got the essence of this couple. I learned so much about FWB in the previous books I just wanted more. That said there was a little build up where we got to know how Greer and Rich met and started FWB together. Their decision to just be friends for years. Then something shifted and it seemed like it was time to become more. From there it was 0 to 60. There was just not enough time with the couple.
Fifteen years have passed lawd, ain’t no way . They both clearly had feelings from the jump. Whew, that’s a lot of time, but I’m so glad the love was still there.
As promised short and sweet!!! I have no idea why they thought being in a relationship would be less traumatic than friends with benefits????Partnerships are relationships, the trust and respect has been established. I could have given Greer & Rich more of my time.
3.5 ⭐️ Good but too short for me. I felt it would have worked better as a novella vs a novelette. The storyline didn’t have time to develop. But I do really enjoy this author and look forward to reading more of her work!
It was a good story but way too short I felt like I only ready a couple pages in the book. Just when I’m getting comfortable it was done. Dang now I know why you warned us before. Anyway I always enjoy your stories keep up the good work.
