To think for yourself in a world of conformity can be tough. It takes some standing alone, and that's why most people aren’t willing to do it. It's tough standing out from the crowd, being the nail that stands out from the rest. Ostracism and derision is what we pay for truly expressing our uniqueness in face of the herd. The outsider, valuing truth and individuality over prestige and the approval of others, courageously walks the path of selfhood in search of his spirit and the light. The outsider is a loner, a rebel, in a world where adaptation and group-think reign. Through objective thought and moral inquiry, he (or she) is one who thinks for himself, questions conventional norms and is highly suspicious of authority. His mind, conscience and intuition are his guides in his pursuit of right and wrong, truth and falsity; not unquestioningly determined and blindly accepted by group-think ideologies. The Outsider is a small book of poetry covering the subjects of attitudinal rebellion, selfhood, depressive realism as well as spirituality and other philosophical writings.
