Behind Closed Doors

Rate this book
The tabloids can’t get enough of the American social media moguls that are known worldwide as the Pavet de LaCroix sisters. Trinity, Violet, and Italy are three beautiful, talented, and successful women living carefree and exquisitely royal lives…or, so it seems. With everything around them moving so fast as they fight to stay on top, they are quick to ignore the real problems they face behind closed doors. Trinity is the youngest sibling and is engaged to Neptune. They live out their whirlwind romance in front of millions of YouTube subscribers and are relationship goals for sure. However, Neptune has demons that he hasn’t addressed and lashes out on Trinity when he’s triggered. Violet lives amongst the limelight the most. Due to her takeover in the fashion industry, she was crowned as the world’s most top-paid, African American model to ever grace the runway. She’s sassy and down to earth, yet nothing to play with, but when it comes to her newly wedded husband, Houston, that’s one piece on the board that she can’t seem to control. Italy, the oldest of the family, controls the backdrop. Managing her sisters isn’t easy, but she handles it like a pro. Coming up on her 7th wedding anniversary with her husband O, things are… pretty bittersweet to say the least. Everyone looks at them to be the perfect couple, but what you don't see, you don't know...right? When the media somehow gets ahold of family secrets, the Pavet de LaCroix dynamic is shamed. As this inferno begins to burn, they realize that every one of them is suffering from a magnitude of unhealthy trauma that they can no longer ignore. Will this family get the healing it needs, or will they continue to mask their pain by keeping it behind closed doors?

This book was oh so good. The secrets behind closed doors has been revealed. The door is finally opened. It took long enough, but it happened.

Really good

The sins of the father really had a role in each of the children. This regal family with all it’s celebrity hid deep dark secrets. Italy and O seemed goos on the surface but he was truly a menace behind the scene. Italy seems to believe he’s changed but I’m wary. Houston had some nerve. I can imagine him being kicked out from the NFL and he deserves to be! Big Guy seems so perfect. Trinity and Neptune are probably relationship goals for most of their YouTube fans but it’s all a facade. She was bold and brave to step out with Ced. Neptune was a loose cannon! Rodney brought everything to the forefront. It ironically freed them!

Family

Sometime family is all we have, and sometime we wish we didn't have the family we got. These 4siblings have been thought hell and back just so their parents can keep up an image. When secrets are Spilled and all hell break loose ,You can see who's on who side and how far they go just to protect that image.

Slow but okay

First time reading from these authors but i will say the book was okay..nothing about the content was bad it just took me a week to finish and maybe that was because of all of the abuse going on..lastly the ending was great but confusing i love a happy ending but i felt like there might be another book coming..

Really good story

This book shows how generational trauma follows you and parents can really mess you up. This was a really good story and not my norm, but trying something new worked out. I would definitely read more from these authors.

Sisterhood

Loved this story. Loved that it focused on generational curses and how the sins of a parent affects their children.

Dark turns to light

Everyone knows people who love to put up a front. But who knows what’s actually behind it? I’m so glad most of them overcame it

This book was excellent from beginning to end. I just wish the mother had gotten herself together in the end.
