Confusing and contradictory information

Aside from the grammatical errors that make this book difficult to read and understand, the content is based heavily on the author's opinion yet presented as factual. As someone who has been practicing kitchen witchery and reading books on the subject for over 20 years, I cannot recommend this book except for entertainment purposes, especially to a beginner. The author tells us that "traditional" witches practice shamanism and regularly have out of body experiences, a "Wiccan diet" shuns meat and alcohol, and eclectic witches don't adhere to any rules or ethics in their craft. One of the author's most bizarre statements was that sea witches are ghosts who can sink ships. As strange as this sounds to me, I also have no idea what this has to do with kitchen witchery. The most helpful advice was to use a spoon for stirring and not a "real wand." At least that makes sense. If you're looking for a great introduction to kitchen witchery, please don't read this book.

Overall, read this book with a grain of salt. Take what resonates with you and leave what doesn’t.

Cons: The book is highly based on the author’s opinions that are stated as fact. Often ideas are offered to the reader as rules instead of guidelines. The author often goes back on these “rules/facts” and the information is contradictory and sometimes confusing. Some of these rules don’t take into consideration the readers’ varying abilities, opportunities, financial situation, or life experiences. For example: “You have to choose locally grown and organic foods… instead of frozen or canned vegetables.” Statements like this don’t take into consideration people’s access to local and organic ingredients or their financial situation.

Pros: It had a decent list of foods and ingredients with listed medicinal and magical correspondences and properties. The recipes at the end of the book are nice but I wish the author had included their original intentions behind creating the recipe.

Good book, poor writing

I liked the information in this book. It was helpful and the recipes were great. I loved the section about the different foods and their properties. However, the ebook had many grammatical, spelling, and sentence structure errors that made the book hard to digest at times. I had to reread every so often because a sentence didn’t make sense, and use context to figure out what it might mean. Otherwise great book.

Good explanations

I am interested in learning about kitchen Witchery because my children keep telling me that’s what I am. In reading and learning this has been a great tool to learn from. I didn’t know how to bless and charge my tools and wasn’t sure of some meanings of things this book helped.

Cannot finish it, factually incorrect in parts, difficult to understand

I cannot finish this book. It is factually incorrect on more than one page and unfortunately not proof read. The paragraphs are difficult to understand and do not flow.

I cannot even look at the recipes because I don't trust the author's capabilities to correctly educate me on Kitchen Witchcraft.

Good book

Anybody a more strict author when it comes to kitchen switcher than other ones I have read but she gives good advice and a LOT makes sense. I loved the list of foods with their elements, health and magic correspondence. Will try some of her recipes.

The writing is poor and comes from a place of privilege and bias. If I could give zero stars I would.
