Loved this beautiful, heartfelt friends-to-lovers romance!

Layla, Finn and Miguel didn’t have an easy ride on their trip to happily ever after. I loved how the underlying friendship between Finn and Layla and Finn and Miguel was the catalyst that helped glue this thruple together.

Wild Sideis the first book I’ve read in this series, and fully stands alone, but I will definitely read the others because it was so damn good!

I can always count on Mari Carr to make me smile. Do I wait for the next Wilder Irish book to come out – you bet. Am I waiting for the day when she really makes me cry my heart out? Yea, I know it has to come, sooner or later. But, until that time, I will sit back and enjoy the wonderful stories of the Collins family.

Finn’s story was just as heartfelt and and beautiful as the stories that preceded it. Yes, they are all a little bit different but is always comes down to the Collins Curse. The dreaded curse of finding your soul mate and falling in love. But, Finn soon realizes that he has two soul mates and he’s not sure how things are going to work out. Police Officer Miguel has been in love with Finn forever. Unfortunately, Finn either doesn’t see it or refuses to. Then he meets Layla while working on a case. He may have found a woman who could maybe help him forget his feelings for Finn. Until one fateful evening when his world comes crashing down around him. He thought LJ was a friend of Finn’s … not the woman he fell in love with.

One kiss … another … then another … that’s all it takes for both men to know that they are hooked. On each other and on Layla. But, the agreement is way to short and all three of them have to figure out how to show the other that their hearts all belong to each other.

I love how Mari Carr gives us just a little drama but brings it to a unique and quick ending. I also love how the whole family rally’s around when they are needed most. It’s like they have a sixth sense when one of them is hurting, needs a little tender loving care or some sound advice. Enter Pop Pop. I guess I will always think of him now when I serve Salmon. But, it’s wonderful watching all the kids grow up, become men and women and finding their way in life. There is nothing more that we want for our children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren than for them to find love, happiness and success in whatever they set out to do in life. And, that’s what Mari Carr brings to us each and every time … love and happiness. Sometimes it’s conventional and sometimes it’s not but, it’s always sincere, open and honest.

Finn is the sweetest, kindness, most loving, half-witted fool! There, I said it, I love that man, and Ioved him in this book, but really, get off your butt, as his family had to tell him, SEVERAL TIMES, to go and get what you want! It only highlights all of his wonderful traits in the simple line he speaks “What am I going to do with the two of you?”

Miguel is an absolute genius, no, really he is, he utters the most important line in the book. He is patient, methodical, and scared. He could lose it all, or have it all, with Finn, and Finn is being no help, until he is. His genius moment, when it could all start or stop, and he utters “I think the three of us should sleep together.”

Layla, LJ, was fun, witty, adventurous, and so utterly confused! I got the woman’s drive, her reasoning, but like her, when ya got the goods, why back away?. Of course, this all leads to an encounter where I was seriously worried Mari had been lured to the dark side by the bad influences that surround her, but she ended up being her wonderful self. Just don’t do that again, hmm, ‘mkay?

Of course, we all know who is falling next, because he utters the wise words “Not going to lie,” Colm said, “I thought you and I had the best shot at dodging the curse. Turns out it got you twice. Fucking thing is tenacious.” 😉

Once again Mari Carr has given us a piece of the Collins family to swoon over. This story is sweet, funny, smoking hotness, with some suspense thrown in just to keep us on our toes. Wild Side gives us look into how Finn chose to take a leap towards what he wasn’t sure he wanted. Layla learned that what you were certain you wanted isn’t always what you really need. And Miguel finally gets all the friendship, love and family he so needed.
I never want this series to end, ever!

I’ve read a few other books by Mari Carr and haven’t been to excited about them. Her writing is okay, but it’s not my thing. All her stories sound the same. Rather, all the stories I’ve read have sounded the same.

This latest entry in the Wilder Irish series is a very steamy MMF romance. While the Collins family has always been very open and accepting, Finn Collins never considered he would ever see his best friend Miguel as anything other than a friend. That is until he realizes that not only does his best friend have feelings for him (something he's almost ready admit he returns) but Miguel also seems attracted to the very woman Finn has set his sights on. Can this new dynamic work for anything other than temporary? As expected Mari Carr delivers plenty of heat. The whole Collins clan is full of such likeable characters that you can't help but like the books in both of these series!

One of my favorite queens of menage is at it again! While this author writes a wide variety of tropes, some of my very favorites that she has given to us has been her menage romances. They never fail to make the relationships portrayed seem more like real life, than taboo. And this is one of the most beautiful! I thoroughly enjoyed this trip on the wild side!

Layla is having a life crisis. Recently out of a very boring, long term relationship, she has decided to let loose, discover who she is and what she has been missing out on. She moves back to her childhood home, realizes her dream of having her own business, and then decides to work on her personal life.

Finn is ......confused. He has feelings for his friend, Layla. But his best friend, Miguel, has feelings for him. He's never had feelings for a man before. And he isn't sure what to do, or what he wants. Miguel, on the other hand, knows what he wants, but not how to go about getting it.

This book is just HOT! Explosively, smoking hot, call the fire department hot, surface of the Sun hot! Layla, Finn and Miguel burn the pages up of this book, but that's not why this book is so amazing. Their connection is amazingly perfect, and almost effortless in it's simplicity. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of confusion, and drama, but there is no denying how perfect they are together. I absolutely adore this series, and Wild Side just adds to the amazingness of this family!

Once again author Mari Carr knocked this book out of the park! Ever since sparks flew between Finn and Miguel, I have been dying to read their story in the Wilder Irish series and she made it even steamier by adding Layla to the mix. Layla wanted to experience the wild side of sex and boy, did she ever get it! I must say I loved Finn’s dominant side in the bedroom and both Layla and Miguel were on the receiving end of all that wildness. This author sure knows how to write super hot sex scenes that can make you blush and I loved every minute of it. I thoroughly enjoyed their connection with each other individually and together. It was wonderful to see Pop Pop and the Collins family again. My heart is always so full when I get to read a story in one of my favorite series.

I have been a huge fan of Mari Carr's Wild Irish series and I am so glad she has continued this series with a new generation of Collins offspring. I have loved every story in this series and Wild Side is another great addition. For a very hot and sexy erotic romance, this story had so much heart and emotion too. I was rooting for these three to make it work. I loved Finn, Layla and Miguel so much. They were so sweet together and sexy as hell. Throw in an armed robber and some serious life and death moment towards the end really made this book unputdownable to me. Is that even a word? Whatever. I just couldn't stop reading until I reached the end. If you loved her other stories, you'll definitely love this one too. And if you're new to Mari Carr, I say you're in for a great ride catching up on all her books. This is a stand alone so you can dive right in and pick and choose where you want to continue next if you're curious about the other couples that make an appearance in this book.

Wild Side is the ninth in Mari Carr's Wilder Irish series, the next generation of the beloved Wild Irish series, all set in Baltimore, MD, at Pat's Pub, under the loving and devoted care of the owner and family patriarch, Pat. It's about Layla, whose recent move to the city heralds a fresh start for her, and a new leaf turned, away from the sometimes overly watchful eye of her four older brothers, and away from a meh relationship that had gone past its expiration date. She's ready to sow a few wild oats, to live a little, or maybe a lot ;)

When she reconnects with her childhood friend, Finn, and then meets his best friend Miguel, it seems like the perfect setup--some scorching hot together time without the involvement of expectations of long-term commitments. Until feelings are engaged... and Finn and Miguel and Layla need to figure out whether one plus one plus one equals zero or maybe infinity and beyond.

Mari Carr does it again in this fantastic addition to the Collins clan universe. Finn and Miguel's rock solid friendship is tested not only by their changing feelings for each other but by the addition of Layla and her carefully held emotions. We have the pleasure of seeing Pat and the other Collinses as well, although the focus is squarely on this trio and their personal walk on the wild side.

The truth is that love changes us and can change how we see ourselves and how others see us. Ms Carr reminds us of this as we see Finn, Miguel, and Layla struggle with discovering their true feelings and finding the courage to hold onto those we love. Wild Side is a wildly satisfying read.

There is something magical about the Collins’ clan. As a reader, you visit this family with each book and fall in love with the characters again and again. This book provides a fun sexy adventure with Finn, Layla, and Miguel with the help of Pop Pop. A Mari Carr book is an automatic buy for me. She gives the reader a fun sexy adventure.

Love this addition to the Wilder Irish Series!!!

This book is Finn's (Riley's son & Sunnie & Darcy's older brother) book. Finn is straight- or is he & Miguel has been attracted to/in love with him for a year now when Layla from Finn's past (elementary school) moves back to Baltimore to get away from her 4 overbearing brothers & to be on her own.

The robbery element is very good.

Love that we still have PopPop!!! Especially the beginning (where Finn's name came from) & the end (PopPop's photo update)!!

Hmm, I hope Layla's brothers get their own series...would love to see the ladies that take down those boys!

What a great story. Layla, Finn and Miguel are awesome. Layla just ended long relationship and moved to Boston, she is not looking for relationship, she wants fun. Finn, after all fun he had, he wants relationship and he wants it with Layla, there is another issue here, Finn is confused with his feelings to his best friend Miguel.
Loved it.

I love the Collins clan and Mari Carr's Wild Side is no exception. The Collins Curse (Colm's words) is at it again and it's Finn's turn to find love and with the advice of Pop Pop and Paddy he finds his HEA with Layla and Miguel. With a few twists and one scary ass clown they find out that love, true love has no limits. 5 Stars

What a ride!
Finn is a fun loving large family good time guy avoiding the truth

Miguel is a tough exterior loving cop in love with his best friend

Layla is a woman out from under her family’s protective love for the first time and looking for a wild time

Their ride is a fast paced roller coaster of a great time but oh the ending!

This is such a great series and this edition of the Collins family is my new favorite. Finn is my hero in this story, he is kind, hardworking, loves his family, best friend material, ready to find the forever love his cousins have found, and the best kind of dominant man in the bedroom. Miguel, Finn's best friend, is a cop working for Finn's dad, he is a protector, bisexual, and so in love with Finn. Along comes Layla (LJ) returning to her childhood neighborhood as a coffee shop owner, she and Finn reconnect and are best friends again. She recently broke up with her longtime boyfriend (boring sex life) and is ready to be wild, kinky, and just be casual. Steam is just rolling off these three when the stars align....this book has some of the hottest scenes ever, it's not just that it's a menage with m/m action included it's the love, the feelings, respect for each other, and the joy they bring to each other in and out of the bedroom. I have added this to my all-time favorite list. Loved It!!!

Wild Side is book nine in Mari Carr's Wilder Irish Series. I have read all the Wild Irish and now the Wilder Irish Series, I have been hooked on this series from book one. I can never get enough of this wild, caring and tight Collins Family. Wild Side is a MMF menage book. Layla, Finn and Miguel compliment each other perfectly in this super steamy and CASUAL read. Layla is looking for a casual relationship and she finds that and more with Finn and Miguel. Like always Mari Carr has delivered a super steamy read. Definitely do not miss this read, it has all the things that make you come back for more.

Welp, I tried it. I got to 40% of this thing, which is far enough to know I do NOT like where it's going, and I'm not going to finish. The dynamics of how the three people in the menage come together is not believable at all.

Aside from it being free, why did I try this one? Ohhhhhhh, I don't know. I think I liked the idea that Layla was meant to explore her "wild side" and I'm always down for a woman taking control of her sexuality and pushing against our typical restrictive societal tag of that kind of behavior as "slutty." Can you imagine reading a menage where the WOMAN engineers the threesome into being? I would like to read THAT book.

This does not appear to be that book. Layla is just out of a long-term relationship, moved back to her hometown, and is reconnecting with Finn - a childhood friend and part of the large, Irish (?) family this series is based around and which I've read none of. They have some sparkage, but when Finn's out of town Layla's coffee shop (because of course she runs a coffee shop) gets broken into and she survives a pretty aggressive attack from a sole perpetrator. The cop who comes to take the report is Miguel, and he breaks several cop-rules providing comfort to Layla in the wake of this, and they go on a few dates. Little does Layla know: Miguel is best friends with Finn, and Finn and Miguel had an un-discussed kiss a few months back that's creating some weird tension. Like Finn not telling Miguel he was kinda-sorta dating a woman, Layla.

It's not a terrible setup, except I generally hate cop stories. I was willing to give this one a shot because Miguel is openly bisexual, and I was down for the openly bi cop narrative - lots of potential for conflict. But already Miguel is acting out the worst / my least favorite romantic trope: over-protectiveness. Actually Finn is too. And jealousy: don't forget that. Because how do you know you're into someone unless you feel jealousy and act irrationally as a result? FACEPALM. The scene where the three of them find out about each other is full of all of this, as well as not one but TWO un-asked-for kisses (which of course turn out hot), and that, gentlepersons, is where I noped right out of this book.

I just can't read any more about Layla's helplessness after an overly-dramatized break-in (they REALLY don't go down that way) and her need for two big, strong-protector men to protect her, and fight over her, and fight themselves, but of course also be attracted to each other, in really aggressive, overly-dramatic ways. The whole thing felt very hetero and unrealistic. UGH

This is one of my favorite stories from one of my favorite families. Layla and Finn are old friends who knew each other before her family moved away. They reconnect when Layla moves back to Baltimore. Miguel has had feelings for Finn for years but never acted on them because he didn’t want to lose the friendship they shared. Layla owns a coffee shop which is robbed one night. Miguel, a police officer arrives to investigate. Soon both realize there is a spark there. There is a problem though, Layla also has feelings for Finn. Unbeknownst to Layla, Miguel and Finn already know each other. Conflicted feelings, family, robberies and realizations all make this a story that pulls you in. Once again Mari Carr has a hit on her hands. I love this family and look forward to the next book in the series.

I am a huge Mari Carr fan, inhaling all of her books. None more so than those that take me back to the Collins clan.

Wild Side brings us back to the magic of the threesome and how each of the members gets to that place realizing this is for them. We've already met Finn and Miguel, best friends who may be on the precipice of more, if they could take those steps. Then Layla comes to town and both men find themselves attracted to her, as she does to them. But Layla's ready for a little walk on the Wild Side, nothing permanent, just some fun, and what could be more fun than a threesome? ;)

As always, Mari brings us a heartwarming, emotional, and very sexy story. I fell in love with these three characters as they took their own journey toward finding happiness and love. Of course, any trip back to the Collins world means seeing the other Collins characters. We get to catch up with Colm (I'm going to need his story pronto) and Padraig (I still cry), Kelli and Darcy (ditto on the whole story thing), Riley and Aaron. Of course, PopPop is front and center <3. I think my favorite parts of these books is the beginning and ending scenes with PopPop, I just love him.

Overall, another amazing book in the series, although each book is one book closer to the end of the Collins' saga, you definitely don't want to miss the ride!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review, however I have also pre-ordered the book.

I love Mari Carr's writing and her new book, Wild Side, did not disappoint.

Layla moves back to Baltimore to get away from her overprotective family and start over after a long term relationship fizzles out. She vows to start having some fun and embrace her wilder side. She reconnects with her childhood friend, Finn.

Finn is starting to think he'd like to give the Collins' "curse" of love a try and find that someone special, like so many of his cousins have. But he'd need to find a girl first. Or does he? Finn's long time buddy, Miguel has been flirting with him harder than ever and Finn starts to wonder if, even though he loves women, he could love Miguel that way.

Miguel always wanted a large family. Things were rough growing up and now he is a police officer. He admires what his friend, Finn's, family has. He has realized that his feelings for his long-time friend have grown into something deeper. But when he meets Layla while working on a string of robberies, he is smitten.

When the three of them realize their connection, Finn and Miguel wonder if maybe they can help Layla explore her wild side while they explore their feelings for each other.

This book is 3-alarm fire hot. The relationship is sweet. But when they reach Layla's self-imposed expiration date will they be able to move on?

WHEW...Mari Carr is truly a gifted story teller...just like Pop Pop. I feel so connected, so invested in these Wilders. I never want them to end. I love the entire family. I love how she starts with them as kids with Pop Pop and his story of their name. I love the close knit family ties. I love that you get explosive hot chemistry and sex and then you also get sometimes heart breaking emotions. And then she ties it all up with the HEA and the picture wall. The salmon made me giggle. Finn and Miguel have been through a lot and I love that Miguel could be himself with Finn. Bringing in the scary Pennywise was great too. I was so nervous at the end but it all turned out great. And was the push that everyone needed. As much as I loved everything about Finn, Miguel and Layla what got me was Padrig. UUGHHH he gets me every time. (He may be my favorite). Thank you for creating this family.
