She eff'd everything up. The wedding. His life. And, he wants…her back.
Truxton Jacobs Even after being left at the altar, he still craves her. Some call him whipped, but he doesn’t care. He still wants her.
Tynisha “Ty” Hain She ruined her life…and his. The ache to touch him burns deep. If she surrenders, how can she stop her body from giving up more than she has to offer?
WHIPPED is an interracial erotic romance (BWWM) with a HEA. It is a part of the Lunchtime Chronicles series which can be read as standalone novels.
WARNING: This book is different from ALL previous Siera London books. WHIPPED contains explicit sex and graphic language.
Whipped is the fifth book in the Lunchtime Chronicles but should be read first. Truxton and Tynisha have a history where they were going to get married, but Tynisha left Truxton at the alter. Years have passed, but they are still in each other's orbits, and the love is still there. In Whipped, we discover why Tynisha left Truxton at the alter and how self-healing must be accomplished before love can be given. I loved every aspect of Whipped, and it was short, sexy, funny, and very realistic. So realistic that I reached out to S. London to find out if that military connection was personal. I love finding sisters in arms, and I cannot wait to read more by S. London.

Truxton didn’t care what people said... Yeah he was whipped but Ty steal belongs to him... and only him! Whipped is a quick and hot 2nd chance romance novella. You get to read about Ty and Truxton making their way back to each.
"She wanted the man she’d loved since childhood more than she wanted to hold on to the fear that she might destroy them both."
This is a fantastic sexy, as hell second chance at love. After throwing everything away and knowing that you may never get another chance to lay it all out...what do you do? You make damn sure she can't leave you a second time around.
Yes, whipped is sinfully delicious, but it's also about emotional healing and self-acceptance. Omg, how could I forget to mention the humorous bantering?
“You need to use brains, beauty, and your body to get your woman back.”
This is a sexy short read for you to devour in one go.
I am still trying to process this HEA. I think this is the first time I read a story where the Marine heroine is the one who is suffering from PTSD in such a way. The layers of pain Tynisha and Truxton experienced was heartbreaking. I am glad Tynisha went to receive help with the demons she was fighting. I only wished that Truxton did too, in order to be a better partner for Tynisha.
I didn't bother with the epilogue and probably should have quit reading it earlier. It really wasn't engaging but as it was a short read, I let it play out as I did chores.
They were wounded in mind, body and spirit. Ty broke Trux's heart when she jilted him at the altar six years ago. But, neither one of them got over the other. They both made excuses to see each other even if it were in passing. The more time went by, the more Trux wanted Ty back, but he wanted to know why even more so.
This short story was about how PTSD affects not only the soldier but those that love them as well. Ty wanted to protect Trux from her PSTD nightmares. She wanted to be perfect for him but knew that he deserved more than a broken Marine who could seriously hurt him. Trux did not care, all he wanted was his love back and to help her through her wounded nightmares. They both realized that there was no such thing as a perfect love but what they deemed to be perfect for them. Now that they see a second opportunity to get it right this time, they held on to each other as best they, could never letting go.
This is the first book I read in this series and I have them all to date. I think reading this one first was a mistake. I didn't like the language as it was too much slang with several typos making it hard for me to follow. I did understand the mental and physical issues stemming from combat presented here. Ty leaving Truxton at the altar was terrible and she should have been honest well before it came to that. Skipped thru the raunchy sex scene...not appealing at all to me. I'm going back to the beginning of the series and read them in order of release. I do hope the rest are better....😐
I really did not like Tyneisha. I tried but I could not accept her idiotic excuses. I struggled with the rating for this story. I'm not sure the author intended to induce loathing for the heroine. Bottom line, this was the least liked of the chronicles and that's being positive.
Well, “Lunchtime Chronicles: Whipped” was a good read. Which makes perfect sense, because Tynisha & Truxton is/was the companion story and friends by association of “Thick Cut” book 2 of this same series. To date, two out of five (with only sixty books remaining in this LTC series to go 😬🤭🤷🏾♀️), I might need to abort this literary mission or choose a more scientific selection method🧐. However, it’s still cringy to read CCC’s (genitalia euphemisms) so cavalier and in rapid succession 🥴. There’s a overt racial divide🤦🏾♀️🥴‼️Nevertheless, I appreciated the expressed vulnerabilities, subliminal banter, courage to survive (post active military duty, thru PTSD & navigating mainstream civilian life. ….This country, our country owes you immense gratitude) with the compassion, respect & love still shared between this couple. …just glad these two found their someone special in each other! Meanwhile, to every person (my daddy, uncles & cousins included) & spouse that has served (or currently in service) in the US Armed Forces, thank you for your bravery & sacrifices that civilians can never phantom🫡🥹‼️
That Ty could not have had a conversation with Truxton to discuss her concerns before their wedding day instead of abandoning him without a word at the alter. Not only did it cost time and money for all parties attending the wedding, it was hurtful, embarrassing, no matter what the reason being, and should have happened to anyone who is loved and have had such a relationship. This book was aptly named there was much more that love that had him forgiving her and taking her back. Reading this book was like eating dessert before dinner. I wished that this book was released before Thick Cut or that there would be a prequel to it before reading it as I believe that I would have enjoyed them both better reading this first then Thick Cut.
WOW! I am really enjoying these books they will easily put a smile your face. The chemistry between the two characters is powerful with sucha compelling romance. The characters are excellent which makes it a beautiful story. I even enjoyed all of the secondary characters their friendships are amazing. The story is fantastic and when you add in the drama along with their emotions about their love then you have their happy ever after tale that's truly delightful. I couldn't help but enjoyed their story along with how the relationship is built up that it's naturally such a beautiful thing that it never seemed forced." I had hope to read this story all night but even good things come to a end and This Is Definitely A Awesome Story To Read.
these two started off as childhood sweethearts... sorta. and Truxton just knew that she was his forever, but she had things going on from her past military service. which prevented their marriage, but that man still didn't give up. he loved her, and she loved him, but she had to deal with her own demons. demons that haunted her. and one fateful day, after several attempts, she fell into his lap and back into his heart. into his bed. and back into an engagement. this was just getting f-ing good and ended. I know how it ended because I read thick cut out of order, but I wanted more to their story. enjoyed it nevertheless.
This is Tynesha and Truxton's story. I think Thick Cut should be read after this book or maybe merged with it (a two for 1 or something). The beginning of the book (with Truxton and Griffin) seemed to drag. This story did not feel completely fleshed out. It felt as though something was missing. I understood the issues Tynesha had and I liked her quick wit, but I really didn't connect with her. I felt bad for Truxton and I'm glad he got his HEA. 2.5 stars
I received a free copy from BookSprout in exchange for an honest review.
This is the romance of Truxton and Ty. This novella shed light on a topics I rarely think of such as female military personnel, PTSD, the pressures of being raised in a military family, addiction, recovery from injury yet all were born with grace and love! I enjoyed the banter among mutual friend Griffin, Truxton and Ty as well as the steadfast love between them! The antics of Messy Mandy made me laugh out loud! Ultimately, it was love that saw this couple to their forever. I am loving the Lunchtime Chronicles series and I plan to read them all!
Mmm Unique words, LLC recommended this book and don't get me wrong it wasn't bad but compared to the other lunch chronicles they have suggested this one was just off track for me. Ty and truxion finally come face to face with each other and jumping each other bones is more important than why she left you st the alter. Truxion acting like the quick explanation made everything better, nope not making sense. How you going to get married and didn't make amends with your family and his that would have pumped it up a star for me
A quick but intense read. Full of foul mouthed, former military personnel and a man left at the altar.
Tynisha left Truxton waiting for her at rage altar with no explanation. For the past few years, Ty has ridden a bicycle by Truxton’s restaurant twice a week to check on him.
A bike accident which slightly injures Ty forces Truxton and Ty to face their still lingering love and the PTSD that made Ty leave him at the altar in the first place.
Ty left Truxton standing at the altar and he was devastated. But he still loved her. What was he to do? It has been five years since that disaster and he still loved her. His family, his friends, her family and their friends, all deserted her because they felt Trux’s pain. Ty paraded some guy off the dating app past his office at the restaurant at least once every month. Would she ever work up the nerve to talk to him? Great read for those loving a military/veteran theme. Thank you, Sierra London for another great summer read.
This series is wicked hot with alpha’s that just sizzle and make you swoon!!
4 1/2 stars
This series is wicked hot with alpha’s that just sizzle and make you swoon!! The chemistry between the characters is blazing hot! This is a well written quick read with a very entertaining story that was short enough to read in a couple of hours!! Siera London has done such a fantastic job with these stories and can’t wait to read more!! Happy reading!!
Truxton is dealing with unexpected and unexplained abandonment at the alter. Ty decide she needed to come to grips with her demons on her wedding day. As the story unfolds we learn about their background, relationship, and how they got to this point. The issues veterans face after war are revealed with the inclusion of how a woman learns to do more then just cope. This novella packs a punch with a complete storyline, plot and the HEA.
Although I read this one out of sequence, it was still a great read! I believe it caught the reality of people like Tynisha who are trying to handle PTSD on their own and the consequences! I’m happy she received the help she needed and that Truxton held on to his love for her as well as Ty holding on to her love for him! I enjoyed this, as well as the others I have read! Well done, Sierra London! 💜🤗💜
Most people would move on after being humiliated by being left at the altar. However, Truxton's love was so great for Tynisha that he waited, through countless numbers of dates, for her to come back to him. His love for her was all encompassing.. She, a wounded veteran with PTSD nearly killed him after a bad dream, sought help for numerous issues and returned healed. An HEA ending ties this story up neatly. This book was recommended by Unique Words LLC.
War really is hell, especially when it tears you from the one you love. Not because you died, but because you can't forget the terrible things you saw and did. Tynisha and Truxton spilt at their wedding altar. Tiptoeing around each other for years, they never move on from one another. Now she falls into his lap and he will win her back. A good second chance romance short.
Their lives had been entwined for decades. The friendship built to last. There separation was a battle for them both. Ty did not know that one day her world would come crashing down. Then only to have a crash put it all back together again. Truxton has lived one woman and when she did not show up on their special day he was devastated.
Loved this lunchtime quickie. Loved getting to know new characters and their hea.
Nice, little erotic story that gave you the experience that much longer novels fail to provide. This is a very well-written short story which satisfies the profound erotic narrative, that overwhelming love can happen beyond the crazy circumstances in this story. The two protagonists find their way back to each other, in spite of the fumbling reasons for their absurd separation! Enjoy!
Good read!!! Iiked Truxton cause even though Ty left him at the alter it didn't diminish the love he had for her. Yeah he was hurt like a mfka but he still loved her. Ty didn't leave Trux because she didn't love him, I think she thought she'd save him from her baggage of mental instabilities. I'm glad they finally got a chance to hash out what happened and I loved their form of hashing out.💖💖
I really enjoyed this book. The storyline was believable. I loved how it connected to the other books of the Lunchtime Chronicles. It makes you want to read them all to meet every couple and enjoy their story. Great reading I truly recommend it. It is just what the doctor ordered.
At first I wanted to slap Ty for leaving Truxton, a man who loves and adores her as is. Just like any high stress situation, we think we're saving our loved ones from absolute horror if they have to deal with a woman brokeness. Once Ty explains, I get it. Still not happy about it though it gave them time to grow and know they were it for each other.
Th and Griffin and Truxton were a cute couple. The damage PTSD can do not only in the individual, but all those around them are just as affected. Ty thought she was doing the right thing, but she almost wrecked both their lives. So happy this ending is a good one.
I could see how fear could cloud your judgement to leave your fiance at the alter it is nothing the bark at. The fact that Truxton knows and understood what Ty is going through and may continue to go through and is willing to take on the task say a lot am loving these ladies. Keep penning them out .
I loved reading about Truxton and Tynisha's story. This was a funny and a bit steamy read, and I would absolutely recommend reading this story I don't think you will regret it,you will be having some laughs. Thank you Ms. London please keep these wonderful stories coming. 🙏👍❤
