I enjoyed the book and the characters. What made it funnier for me was the author’s reference to the Ohio county and town that I live in. The name of the town was changed to Monroetown! I encouraged my granddaughter to read it since the story has two young girls in it caught up in solving local mysteries!

Amazing mystery

I loved the characters living in a small community & being so close. I loved flipping through the pages to find out what happened and I’m definitely starting book 2 to see who’s watching Reece.

Very well worth the read! The author wraps you in a thick cozy blanket of mystery. Faith builds up characters, sub-characters, plot, and subplot in layers that keep you reading until the end.

I've known Faith Bicknell for many years and she's always struck me with her amazing talent. This is a smooth-reading series that goes well with inclement weather, a hot cup of tea, your favorite lap pet, and a few hours of quiet. The characters are realistic, the atmosphere on point. If you enjoy cozy mysteries, you'll love the Lilac Lake series!
