With the identity of their enemy coming together piece by piece, Koda, Raven, and the team race against the clock to find him before he finds Koda. That isn’t easy with their list of limited safe places dwindling one by one. Somehow, the Lich is always one step ahead of them, and suspicion falls on one person: their prisoner. But all may not be as it appears.
In this epic continuation of Koda’s story, trust will be tried, tears will be shed, and bonds of love will be formed. The fate of Third House hangs in the balance, as does the fate of the world. Can the last Head of Third House save those she loves or are they all doomed to fail?
Author Note: It’s recommended for full details about the fall of St. Louis that you read Zero Tolerance before Third House as this incident will not be discussed in detail so that it will not ruin Raven’s prequel novel.
Totally loved this book, it has everything I have been waiting for: action, romance, love and my so expected HEA!!! 😍 So happy to see Koda and Raven finally together and reunited with Koda's family ❤️ And for that evil Lich to be finally defeated, a must read series!!! 🤩
Third House is the thrilling conclusion to the First Blood Trilogy. We see Koda as the leader she was born to be. Non stop action filled with plot twists the reader does not see coming.
This series by Karn is my absolute favorite of her body of work!
I really liked the other 2 books. This one was disappointing. I am going to read the fourth if it goes same as the 3rd I will be giving up on the series....

DNF. 40% in and the growling, over-protectiveness and lack of self-awareness of MC had me more sighing and rolling my eyes 🙄 than anything else. I just couldn’t take the sugar any more. It’s all gone pear-shaped from book 2. Why explain everything to death?? If not from MC then a side character. Blimey! Surely the reader is smart enough to comprehend? I wanted to get to the who why and where but I couldn’t take it anymore. I feel Raven has a split personality also. Be gruff and grumpy or be the boyfriend or mate and get on with it. The constant flipping of switches makes my head spin. I mean clearly he decided he wants to be mated to her since end book 4 (Zero Tolerance) and she gave him the go ahead in book 2 - I don’t even need to read on to know that they end up together. I mean seriously 😒 The growling and “let’s talk and hash things out” and “tell me what you think” is TOO MUCH! I gave up 🙄 I keep forgetting they are in their 20s - Koda for all her smarts and all sure do act like she is 16 sometimes.
Koda and Raven have their final showdown, with the one who has been targeting Koda since the beginning, buts it’s a journey not without loss and danger.
Though this isn’t the final book in the series, it is the final book in Koda’s Vamlure arc, and we do get to see a happy ending. Of course there are a few loose ends, and those may well be tied up a bit in the prequels and sequels to this one, especially those involving other characters. It’s a fast paced, and action filled tale, with lots of magical shenanigans and of course the final boss showdown- making it an exciting finish to the trilogy. An enjoyable and entertaining read for urban fantasy lovers and paranormal fantasy fans.
Beautiful ending to this trilogy. There were a couple of storylines left unfinished (not main characters), so I hope the author continues the series with a focus on other characters. This would be a fun world to keep exploring. I'm very happy that Koda kept pushing herself to be stronger and more confident. And kind of the opposite for Raven. He needed to show some emotion, and it finally happened here. The other characters still really shone for me, each one so unique and well-written. Although, there were a LOT of characters to keep track of in this final installment. I could have used a bit more description of the new characters throughout, I'd love to read more of their personalities in future books!
The characters were phenomenal. I so enjoyed reading and learning more from the main characters and also getting the chance to meet and love the new characters.
The storyline was incredible!! So much happened and there were many shocking twists and turns. I laughed, cried and got angry right along with the characters in this story. I would highly recommend this read!!
Heather Karen is such a great storyteller. I love the visual imagery she provides and would love to see this series as a movie!!! Great character development through each book!
This was such an action packed book with a plethora of characters. The characters are fun and interesting except for the villain of course. Easy to read and very enjoyable.
