What was this... recapping 50 years of stories into tiny panels? Boring. Didn't like the art either.
There is an annotation section referencing pages but there were no numbers on the pages themselves. Do I get a No-Prize?

Scioli writes, pencils, inks and colors this wonderful history of the Fantastic Four using various sized boxes, but usually many to a page. At times cluttered, but overall makes for a fun read going through Fantastic Four issues #1 - #28 which introduced or reintroduced such comic household names as the Mole man, The Skrulls, Doctor Doom, The Sub-mariner, The Eternals, The Inhumans, The Black Panther, Silver Surfer, and Galactus to name some. Just a fun read which includes historical notes in the back.

I liked the comic and would read the rest of the set, but I hated the brown aged effect on the pages (my vision is too poor to see the art and writing well without super-bright light), and it was a bit too summary. Parts were confusing or seemingly unimportant because they are hastily drawn into a page or two. As someone who has read some Fantastic Four, but not a lot of the various series, I am not sure who this is for other than those who already know the stories well enough. But then, why would someone who knows the stories so well need this? Two and 3/4 stars.

Unfortunately I don't think the story in this was as cohesive as the recent History of the Marvel Universe run. I just wasn't invested in the story and the story did not have any flow to it, everything felt kind of disjointed? It took me a few sitting to finally get through this single issue and that doesn't usually happen for me with comic issues.

Otherwise I really liked the artstyle, so this issue gets an extra star for that.

artwork is a little wonky [juvenile] but the summation of the FF's early career is spot on [I read them first hand back in the 60s]
