Well, this was disappointing. I wanted to read a novella for a quick steamy read. For once, I actually didn't care about how quick the characters hooked up...I could even overlook the inconsistencies (eyes changing color) in the writing, but no chemistry? I couldn't bring myself to care about Caden and Keeley...Something about them was just flat and the smutty moments felt rushed and slightly robotic. We don't really get to know Caden either.
Keeley's personality was a little bit all over the place. One minute she was meek, the next she was challenging...A bit of a doormat. Easy to jump to conclusion too, not communicative at all...
I don't know if I'm being too harsh, but I can say I was not impressed. I just wish there had been more chemistry. Not too sure why it didn't work. And another complaint is that there was literally no chapters. There was separation and a distinction on who we were following but it just felt a bit weird.

If you like alpha male, billionaire trope fantasies, with HFN endings, then this novella could be for you.
It reminded me of aspects from the film Pretty Woman, but with dominant Caden the CEO, and sexually submissive Keeley, PA and financially poor girl and amazingly still a virgin.
It is a fantasy, but what girl wouldn’t like to lose her virginity with as many orgasms as this has...well, sadly it never happens to most of us...but I did say it’s a fantasy, and we all need some of these in our lives.
Occasional typos, which are being tidied up I understand. Has 3 stars from me.

Caden is a dominant man who loves to master his women. He is coming from a diner when he runs in to Keeley who runs off from him. He is shocked because that never happens to him. When she ends up being his new assistant, he is ecstatic! She is the one woman who wants nothing to do with his money and stands up to him. It takes him almost losing her to realize the treasure he has. Will he be able to find her and explain his feelings before it's too late?

Only thing, shes recently met her new hot boss already!
And when i say hot, Caden is hot and dominant!
I loved the story and will continue with the series!!!

Rough writing
I got this book free with Amazon Unlimited and after reading it there was no doubt why it was free. This story follows a completely unrealistic arc fantasy that I doubt anyone could get behind. There is no connection built between the characters and the author tries to shove character back stories down your throat with redundant phrases. Poor plot outlining and weak story development. No passion and the intimate scenes were rushed and disconnected from the story. Don't bother reading this unless you want to waste an hour or two of your life.

This book got me out of a major reading slump... and made me late for work.
I've resisted billionaire stories, expecting an asshole disguised as an alpha, but Caden is not that. I loved how he exhibited his dominance, topping from the bottom. I loved the body positivity displayed not only by Keeley, but some of the intimacy between them. I was thrilled at the enthusiastic consent modelled for the reader.
But most of all, I love what they did with food. It wasn't overtly sexual, but so... mmm...
My *only* gripe is that the passage of time isn't very clear, so they seem to be moving much faster than they actually are.
I will, without a doubt, be reading much more K. R. Max.

Yikes, this book was bad.
I just really didn’t like the MMC. He had no depth. He came across his way to aloof and he just always seemed kind of disinterested or insincere. I know it’s the way he was written, but I really need to love my MMC’s and I just didn’t with him.
The sex scenes were very lackluster and almost nonexistent. The H and h just had no chemistry at all. Their relationship just wasn’t believable. No sparks no real passion. Everything just felt very forced.
And I also really hated the fact that the book didn’t have any chapters. It was annoying. It just really wasn’t that great of a book.

This is a great OM/YW steamy romance. Keeley is in need of a job badly, she's being pressured by her landlord for alternative kinds of payment and she definitely doesn't want to do that. She e d's up working for a very demanding man named Caden Fox as according to everything she's heard most of his assistants don't last long. When these two meet for the first time sparks fly and things heat up fast. This is a very hot, sexy read and I highly recommend it!

Ok where were the dominating Billionaire when I was younger! I enjoyed this story even though it was an eventual outcome. Most dominate men whether billionaires or not so rich are always mostly older than the female. Even the married ones. I look forward to reading the next one with Max and his young lady and see how she fares. Hopefully she will also give him a run for his money. Pun intended Enjoy.

Strange Beginning
She's desperately trying to get a job. If nothing else but to get rid of her lecherous landlord. And an ex boyfriend who took her for everything. But literally running into a stranger on the sidewalk and him grabbing her and pushing her into a car so he can have his way with her was A bit much. A little off the wall. The rest of the story though was really good. Just the first part wasn't that great. Especially since she's a virgin.

This is the first K.R. Max book I have read but it will not be the last. I enjoyed this book. It is a quick easy read and worth your time and effort. The story is well written and I loved the characters. I would love to see the secondary characters get their own stories. This shows even dominant men can be tamed given the right woman.

There’s a great storyline running parallel to the steam. I dropped a star because the ending felt so rushed. I understand it’s a novella, it would have just read better if more focus had been put on the ending instead of it turning in to a whirlwind

Fast, sweet and thrilling
Oh this book for only being 106 pages had me falling hard. Their love was fast and hard literally. The sex was hot, love was strong, and the companion was enviable. Caden and Keeley stole my heart. Great read!
