This is the first book in the Nasty Habits series. This book is a very slow burning romance, but the book overall is a fast read. It is about Sister Margaret romance with the gardener Trevor. Do I think it was the best romance I read - No, but it was not bad. I won an kindle edition of this book from a goodreads giveaway, but this review is 100% my own opinion.

This was not what I expected it to be and I liked it quite a bit.

Let's start with the things I liked:
- the plot was nice and thought out. It didn't feel like an outright erotic novel. (What I thought it would be considering the cover)
- the other sisters had actual characteristics, they didn't feel one dimensional. I need to know more about them.
- the tension and release was well done.

The things i disliked:
- Trevor didn't do it for me, his parts were repetitive and he felt flat to me.
- the first 20% was a bit slow, but it got a lot better.

I'm an atheist, and I think that made me enjoy this book more. I don't know how people who believe will feel about this.

A slow burn romance but easy to read. Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the eARC copy.

We see Margaret, who has always wanted to become a nun. That is, if only evil, sadistic Mother Superior Antonia Humilitas would leave them (her and the other nuns) alone.

Sweet Salvation by Lily Miles was a slow burn romance that I absolutely enjoyed until the last page. Although it touches on a sensitive subject (religion) I was pleasantly surprised by the authors writing style. It was fun, light and had the right amount of naughtiness.

Margaret has always wanted to become a nun. Her catholic missionary parents instilled in her the love for god and the holly cloth. But life at the nunnery isn't at all what she imagined, especially when the Reverend is thrown into the picture, things get even more complicated and Maggie begins to question if the path she has chosen is really what she wants.

"Like a moth to the flame, he captivates me, ad I'm unable to resist the thrall of his arms as they spread to welcome me."

The protagonists are well presented and relatable. I liked the backstory for both Margaret and Trevor. She is a beautiful girl with strong beliefs in god. She is compassionate and a good friend to her nun sisters, but what I loved most about her was her inner strength. Once she discovered that there is more to life than just the nunnery she became brazen and didn't shy away from the deep and complicated feelings blooming inside her heart. And Trevor was so sweet and protective towards Maggie. He had a rough upbringing and by a twist of fate he ended up working at this nunnery but it was the best thing that happened to him because here he encounters the beautiful brunette nun that gives his life a new purpose. The heat between them is intense and their connection so genuine. I savored every interaction they had.

"It's like she's water and I'm a parched, dying man, crawling on his hands and knees towards her oasis. Every step may be torture, but it'll be worth it."

Also, the other characters are complex and were well presented. All of Maggie's nun friends have unique personalities, their banter and conversations made the story fun and entertaining. But Catherine was the one who impressed me, she's the type of secondary character that gets under your skin and you just want to know more about her. She made the plot even more intriguing.

The story was told mostly from dual POV. I like that we to get to see both Margret's and Trevor's inner struggles, and as an added bonus there are a few chapters written in the third person in between, that make a great addition to the overall atmosphere of the book.

Overall all it was a delightful story and I'm definitely gonna read other books from this author. I recommend it!

I have to say this is nothing like anything I've read before. The premise for Sweet Salvation sounds really interesting. Sister Margaret a young nun falls for Trevor, a man assigned to work as a gardener at the convent in order to avoid going to jail. Margaret has to choose between her vow and her new found love. This could have been a great story but in my opinion, I felt that it was poorly executed. There were some things that I felt really detracted from the book. First, I found it very hard to keep everyone straight when the author jumped POVs so often. She switched between first person present tense and third person with no warning. Over the course of a few paragraphs, you would find yourself inside the mind's of several different characters. And there were so many secondary characters, many of whom were such exaggerated stereotypes that it was hard to take them seriously.
The plot itself was good, if completely unbelievable at times. I think it was a good story, but a lot could have been pared down to make the book more easy to read. This is the first in a series but I don't think I'll be continuing on.

2.5 Stars.

It sounded really good, and i was curious how this was going to play out. But the characters felt really bland.... boring.. I did not feel the passion and the chemistry. Trevor? he was just..there? Like.. meh. The only characters i liked was Cat & Ruth. Maggie Were mostly boring and whiny to me.

I got this eARC from Netgalley

Pros: 1. The storyline was well thought out. 2. All the characters were relatable and realistic. 3. Reading from multiple POVs made it very interesting to understand what's going on in the minds of the major characters. Cons: The first few chapters was a very slow for me even though I understand what the writer was trying to do. That process made it difficult for me to get through, but once all the picture painting was complete the story got really better. Overall, I enjoyed this book and will love to read more from the author. *I voluntarily read and reviewed this book for NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions of this book are mine*.

I loved this book! I was in the mood for something cheesy and romantic and Sweet Salvation definitely hit the spot. And it's not so much about the heroine yearning for love and romance, she seeks for having the freedom to find herself and find her purpose in life. Good thing the seemingly bad boy wants to help her with that!

Miles really did a great job setting the stage for romance to bloom in convent that feels like somewhere from a fairy tale almost, complete with the wicked stepmother (the Mother Superior). What I loved best was how all the nuns had so much personality and spunk. I want to read more about them and their adventures!

This was a new author for me and I’m really glad I decided to read this one! I will definitely read more!

I loved the storyline and writing. The beginning was a bit slow but it made for a great setting of what’s to come. Characters were really fleshed out, especially Margaret. Even all other nuns as side characters had good development which I really appreciated. I can’t wait to read what’s next for other nuns in the convent!

It started a little slow and didn’t know where is was all going.

We have the innocent nun who is corrupted by a young wild nun who was forced into the convent. When a handsome young man that is given a second chance as a groundskeeper of the convent sees the innocent nun, things start getting a little heated up.

Their friendship starts as the nun trying to save his soul and he is trying to spark her desire. The tension is so thick it rigged up my glasses!

It's like romance has dared to go where no romance has ever gone before! I couldn't resist this book. The camp, retro cover and description of a totally taboo romance grabbed me immediately, this Nasty Habits series is unlike anything I've ever experienced. And the story is a page turner, meaty and, well, the other kind of meaty! I heard the next one is coming out in January 2020 ... I can't wait to see what happens next in Book Two.

In this utterly unique setting--unrivaled in romance books--everything pleasurable or just plain human is a sin. Following these characters as their hearts, and other parts, open to their forbidden truth is a delicious, hot journey. I can't wait to get my hands on Book Two of the Nasty Habits series.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book with its setting in a convent. Are nuns even allowed to have romance? Well the answer is yes. Hell yes. I enjoyed this book a lot and the interesting characters, like the evil Mother Superior, really pulled me in. I'll be happy to continue with Book Two of this series.

This book really didn't do it for me. I did like the young nuns with their different personalities and motivations ... they seemed like a collection of girls that you would really encounter. And I did like the idea that Maggie was unsuited to the convent and would find a romance more to her true character. But I didn't like the fact the Mother Superior was so cruel and sadistic. It made it seem Maggie was escaping from her more than she was leaving a life she wasn't meant to live. In addition, I thought the sex scenes were a little gratuitious in the book. I think it would have been better to see the romance grow more slowly and with more 'soul' searching.

I CAN'T!

I requested this book back in September as an E-ARC from Netgalley more a joke than anything. I grew up Catholic for the first part of my adolescence and really I was hoping for a good laugh. Now the time to review it came and went and I was playing catch-up with a million and a half things.

I only got 12% in before I felt ready to chuck my Kindle across the room. The passages were choppy, there were too many characters and the girl hate between the various nuns just wasn't worth suffering through the rest of the story just for a laugh.

I'm moving on because my brain doesn't deserve the assault the rest of this book will probably contain and I'm taking the book as read because well, I'm an adult and can make that decision for myself. Thank you.

No Way this book deserves above 1 star.

I don't know, how come this is rated as 3stars.
We all love something dangerous and taboo kind of romance.

Despite having a nice plot line, Writers was so ridiculously lengthly and repitative on some persons thought that I was fed up read thoughts on people mind.

To make story more realistic and get a grip of readers, Writers have to realistic.

I know, people are drawn in desire they lost awareness of surroundings , but Bravo, they have sex on kids of dangerous chaos . Woo huu... childish writing.

Plus first a totaly catholic sheltered girl is losing her virginity , and she says FUCk Me.

Wao.

I mean really, how come this is Amazon bestsellers.

Maybe by Book Covers.

Nasty "Habit" indeed

Miles pens a sexy and romanctic story in Sweet Salvation. It was a unique twist on a romance, which brings in a sexy groundskeeper and virginal nuns. There is more than one plot line going on, and the reader gets invested in the characters. It's a great story, and I enjoyed this read. Not for the faint of heart, that's for sure. Filled with lust, faith, passion and being true to one self, the characters are pretty well developed, and they make the story. I like the different personalities of the nuns, and their perception on what they want, what they need, and their faith. It's a great story to follow and try to figure out what will happen next. I look forward to reading more by this author. This book is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.

I really struggled to get past this being a romance series set in a nunnery, that being said, I think I would have enjoyed it much more with a different backdrop... The beginning was a little slow, but once it picked up, I liked that it was easy to read and the characters were fairly well developed. I also liked reading from the different points of view, giving me a different perspective and inside more than one character's head. While the story got a little cheesy at times, I really enjoyed how hot some of the romance scenes at the end were.

Worth a read!

This book is really well written. The storyline kept me interested, and the events that happened kept me reading! The conversation in the story makes you feel very much present in the story. The dialogue is realistic and the way the author describes everything is steamy! This whole story had me wanting to keep reading to know what was going to happen! No spoilers because knowing how it happens is all the fun. Worth a read for sure!

I really like this book. The heroine, Maggie, is sweet and innocent and Trevor is just so manly but at the same time so patient with her. There are hot scenes between them, fun secondary characters and a very interesting plot. If you have any doubts reading this one, the answer is YES, do it!

DNF at 21%

Not interested in the book so I am putting it aside. Wasn’t anything particularly wrong with the first 20% except there being more focus on the politics within the convent than the romance.

I am sure it’ll pick up but I am a little bored. May come back to this sometime later. 🤷‍♀️

I am not rating it since I really didn’t get through much of it.

I am so sad! This book had SOOOO much potential but it was just a complete miss. My biggest issue was that it focused more on the convent and the mother superior ruining everyone’s lives then the actual love story.

Thank you to Lily Miles and Goodreads.com I won this book in a Giveaway.

A little bit to edgy for me, mixing specific religious ideas and a smut book. While the book flowed, the writing was a little bit choppy and some passages were hard to follow. It was an okay read for me.
