The bar seems normal until she is viciously attacked by a vampire and then saved by their leader, a mysterious vampire named, Knight.

Are you ready for this new take on an African American Parnamormal Fantasy Novella.?
Zion goes to a vampire bar with her cousin to celebrate her birthday. Vampires have been out of the coffin for 10 years. They are not allowed to kill humans. But Troy has gone rogue and is draining human women. Zion has come upon very hard times. So she agree to sale her blood. Not knowing Troy is a murderer.
Knight is Bubba/Father of his lair. He is a billionaire 500 year old vampire. He stops Troy from killing Zion. One things leads to another between these two.
I like the story because it takes place in my hometown of Washington, D.C. I recognized so many streets and places in the story. My problem was the story ends suddenly. So I am off to read part 2.
I mean it's an okay book. It stops at 79% out of 100% and I feel like I just wasted my money. Don't know if I'll read part two. Not to much of action. ALOT OF ERRORS!!!! I felt like it was an error on ever other page which stop my reading flow. My first time reading her books.
Book started off a little slow and with a few errors, but ended up having a good storyline. Just as you get to the characters and figure out the plot the book abruptly ends with a cliffhanger before 90% . I would still read pt 2 if it comes out soon, but would have preferred more of the story once it started getting good instead of free book excerpts.
I was introduced to this genre through “fell for the corporate thug” and now I’m hooked! This author has me reading everything she’s written that I can get my hands on, waiting not so patently for other books to come and stalking her on Facebook. I love reading her work.
The author weaved a tale with witches, vampires, pixies and basic humans. However, the world being created is too inconsistent. A scion recognized that Zion was a witch by smell yet the tribe leader fed from her and refuted that she was a witch, even though the love of his life was a witch, even though he had a close friendship with a witch. The pixies didn’t tell him she was a witch? He didn’t ask the pixies if she was a witch. His right hand vamp didn’t recognize her as a witch. Vampires use modern technology yet don’t take a basics cellphone? A basic was nearly killed yet was not financially compensated by a billionaire who clearly saw that she needed the money that was earned plus pain and suffering compensation. What is the point of being a leader of a tribe and being 300 or 500 years old if you haven’t acquired wisdom and power? How do not know about rogue witches who are using vamp and pixie dust to create a super drug? Why aren’t witches doing anything to manage who are misusing magic? So much is done to weaken vampires yet vampires who are super rich have nothing invented to counter the weapons used against them? Why sleep on auntie’s sofa and not your cousin’s place? Surely there a room to rent or roommate situation available. This is a series that I won’t recommend others to invest in.
This was my second N'Dia Rae book and I will definitely be adding her to my list of authors to deep dive their catalogues. I love the instalove story between Zion and Knight. Their love was so strong, they met in another lifetime and gave Knight a second chance at making their love last.
Now, a couple of folks in Zion's family need to catch these hands. Knight shoulda just kept them locked up forever in his dungeon. I loved Amaru and Mizar's redemption, but I wish we would have got a little more of their perspective in the book.
Erica being magical? That was a plot twist I did NOT see coming. Book 3 left me with something to be desired. Like, they wrapped it up way too quick. Overall, this trilogy was a vibe, and N'Dia Rae can expect me back for more
This story itself was great and had a ton of potential, but the massive amount of errors almost made it unbearable. I almost put it down on multiple occasions. A few here or there okay, but I found myself constantly trying to decipher what the author was trying to say. It took a lot away from the story for me, and that was sad because the story itself was actually on point. Not sure if I'll be continuing this series. I kind of want to know what happens next though....
I wasn't into vampires, witches, and etc but this book right here is definitely a good read, my lawd. Now am wandering what gonna happened with Zion and Knight. Will Zion get her magical powers to save her brother. Will Knight use her for the magic or will they fall in love and be together forever. So many questions.
Who would have thought, a bite from a vampire could give so much ecstasy. I wanted to be Zion, I think. Knight is a strong 💪 and good willed vampire that want to live amongst human beings peacefully. An evil witch wants nothing more to become powerful and ends Knight's life.
I really enjoyed reading this book! I don't find many Urban Vampire books, but when I do I just have to read them! Everyone of them are excellent, including this one! I loved the chemistry between Knight and Zion first laid eyes on each other! I can't wait to read the next book in this series! I definitely recommend this book to others!
Sooooo 💓💓💓'n 2 THE QUARANTINEDTH POWER. LOL I AM REALLY REALLY ENJOYING THIS BOOK. THIS SERIES!!! AND IF TRUE OR NOT ION,ION,ION, I'M LEARNING NEW SHIT,!! AIGHT. I CAN'T WAIT TO FINISH, IM ON PT..2 Already but i had to leave a REVIEW right quick fast and in a hurry b4 i DELETE it to dwnload 2-3 till next time. Boo.!!
I like urban romance and I like fantasy, but I've never read the two put together. I felt like I was reading a combination of Twilight, Vampire Diaries, and my urban love stories all in one. I will definitely be reading more of this author and this sub genre in the future.
Overall I really enjoyed the story and plot of this book. I had to deduct a couple stars because there were a lot of grammatical errors and after a while it would take me out of the story. I will be checking out the second book and hopefully there aren’t as many grammatical errors because this is actually a really interesting story.
I thought it had a great story line. However, the editor or proofreader made a lot of awful mistakes. There were times when certain characters names changed and then they went back to what their names were supposed to have been unfortunately I wasn't able to give it a 5 star for that reason.
The story is ok so far but the grammatical errors are too much and sort of takes away from the book. Some sentences don’t make any sense and the name change of Troy to Travis was a little annoying. The story needs to be heavily edited. It seems like as soon as the story actually started it was over.
This was okay. I chose to wait to read because I didn't think this was your element. Still don't think so but the drama is drama it's still there. And I just felt this should have been a stand alone for the holiday.
I enjoy urban paranormal books and this is definitely one of them. I like the storyline it moves a little fast but it’s easy to follow I’ll definitely be looking for part 2.
I loved it. I am a diehard paranormal fan. This book was great and had plenty of mystery, suspense, and romance to keep me interested. Can’t wait for Zion to get her powers and for her and Knight relationship to blossom.
This book was just okay. I mean it sucks that it ended in to be continued 😒🙄. There were grammatical errors, characters names were mixed up (Trevor vs Troy) but overall a just okay read.
The book was good minus the errors which made things a tad confusing but the worst part is the to be continued ad there is not a next book. I hate to start a story and leave it incomplete. This is the 2nd author who has done this.
It was food but too short and I hate when books end early and put another book in the end. If I wanted to read that book I would have bought it! Where is part 2???
I really want to read more I'm hooked and I love the characters and the plot thickens i wonder will they save everyone tag me whenever you're done with anything your writing please
This was so good!!!! Nice refreshing change from the ordinary. Plus I love vampire themes. Something so dark and sensual about them. Can't wait to see what Knight and Zion do to thwart their newfound enemies.
I wasn re ally hoping that this a cliffhanger book, but it is, oh well. It was an interesting story. Definitely entertaining. And I will read the next installment.,because I'm pretty sure that it's not going to be just a 2 book deal and done.
This is my first read from the listed author and she did not disappoint i love paranormal movies and books so i was very excited from beginning to end and I’m so excited that part 2 is already out!
Gave the book a 4 start rating because it had so many grammatical errors along with the mixing up of the characters names. The book was also cut short just so another book could get coverage. Other than that the book was pretty good.
If you take the time to reread what you wrote you can catch mistakes like calling Troy Travis. Or even catch sentences that doesn't make sense. Just my suggestion, I'm so glad I did not buy this book. I would definitely be getting a refund.
I absolutely loved this can't wait to see what happens next are knight and Zion actually together how will get brother affect their relationship a brand new fam looking for more
Between the grammatical errors and stopping at 84%, I want a refund. Zion is annoyingly childish and I skipped over JT and July’s chapter so the book is really about 90 pages. For the simplicity of the book, this could have been a standalone.
