What does Santa do after his holiday was hijacked by the Devil?
He strikes back of course!
Join Holly, Luka, Nick and Bernard on the next leg of their journey as they try to figure out what this whole Spirit thing is about and find out what happens when Santa decides that payback is in order. Lets turn up the heat and let the chaos commence as Nick decides that Halloween is his this year!
Will he mess up Halloween as badly as Luka did Christmas? Or does he have this holiday thing down?
*Spoiler Alert* Holly (FMC) is still trying to find out if she's The Spirit in this book. This book follows on from Santas Gift so you have to read that for this to make sense. Just like that book is full of fun, frolics and laughs so is this one. The Halloween party organised by Nick (Santa) cracked me up big time. Add to all that steamy moments with Luka, Nick, Bernard as well as flirty ones with a sexy Sprite (sign me up for one of those!!). I just loved this book as much as I did Santas Gift and the ending was a knockout
This book there is a lot more plot than the first. You get to learn a lot more about Holly and what her purpose is.
My only concern is the last chapter. I have received a free ARC of the third book and I do believe that there should have maybe been a chapter at the end of this book that links a bit more between the 2nd and 3rd.
In this book Santa definitely has some fun taking over Halloween. This book was filled with just as much humor as book 1. The antics Nick gets into are hilarious. Loved seeing Holly take control and come into her own. Can't wait for the next book.
Loved this series. Read all 3 books back to back, and that's how I'm suggesting you do it 😉
Book 2 Santa and Satan or working together to help Holly find out who she is. With this comes fighting between the 2 and more visitors that causes issues.
Like with the first novella in this series, I did not finish the book as intended. As it was, my issues at the time when I read the first book, got heavier and was the transition to a book slump, so that I did not really read for a while.
I tried and still read daily during my book slump, like a few pages or a chapter of any book. Just so, that I don't stop entirely. Because I know myself. If I don't read anything at all, it may be possible that the hurdle is growing and keeping me from picking up again. Means, it can end in a stage where I stop reading completely, just because it appears as a difficulty to restart again.
So, it's just easier to read something.
But at least, I got back in track. It's still much slower as my usual reading speed. Normally, I read in one book in one or two days, depending on how much reading time I get in. And that 7 days a week. And I did this with two ARCs, which were the books who really forced me to read again and got me out of my book slump. So, I read them fairly quickly in my usual speed. Which can be too, because it were favorite authors of mine.
But I had issues to get back into this series, even tho I know they are fairly short and don't really take much time to read. But I guess, it's just not what I like to read, atm. It's mostly about the steamy scenes.
I just want to finish it, because I want to have the whole picture and see how it was solved. Tho, most of the things are predictable, and the characters aren't that deep.
But I still don't think it's boring or a bad story. I really just don't feel like it, atm. Tho, I will push through with the last book, so that I can go and find something else to read.
This is a sequel to Satan's Gift and it's best read after. This was one superawesome book! I mean I loved Satan to pieces and I could not believe the series so great could any better, but guess what? It got better! The ideas the author comes up with are fantastic, the lever of humour is just right and oh so well timed, and the way the plot is developing is amazing. So each of the books has its own little theme which is nicely developed and rounded up and then there is an overarching plot that always ends with an open end and making me yearn for more. Very masterfully done. Then there are the characters. Apart from the most awesome Satan in history and the cutest puppy in the world, there is fabulous Holly who doesn't take shit from anyone, her loving dad, Grumpiest Santa imaginable and the sexy shy elf. They are all wonderful and I love them all so much. But the author goes further and introduces some more great new characters and the most amazing library populated by Sprites. The book is even hotter than the first one, as the characters develop further and their relationships go deeper. I seriously can't wait to see where this is going and I'm dying to read more.
This is the second book in the Heated Holiday Shorts series. Holly and the guys return months later with no new answers. They’ve searched the North Pole and Luka thinks maybe shells find answers in hell. As danger appears, they all make the trip to hell. While there, we meet more characters, my favorite being the sprite and them Matthias. And as before, X is so protective over Holly. With All Hallows Eve closing in, the veil thins even more as they search for answers as to who’s after Holly. The sprites agree to help her and I’m so happy they did as she now is understanding her powers even more. And Nick decides to head up the party, which is disaster out just as Luka handling Christmas last year. Not much spice. It what was there was good. Full of tension, suspense, banter, magic, danger, mystery, laughs, angst and so much more. Can’t wait to read Elfin Chaos.
I greatly enjoyed the chemistry between Holly and the guys in the first book, and I’m happy to see more of it alongside more plot. I have my own suspicions regarding The Spirit and I’m looking forward to seeing if I’m right in future entries in the series. Also, I am hoping to see what the guys have to say about that one library demon that I assume exists to counter Bernard as Satan’s own little helper.
My only real complains would be the need for better beta readers – so many typos – and that I wished to see more of Santa doing Halloween. What we got of it was fun, but didn’t feel like nearly enough to justify the book’s title.
Santa definitely strikes back while taking over Halloween. Book 2 was filled with just as much humor as book 1 and had me laughing the whole time. The skeletons nick brought to life was my fave moment in book 2 and I'm questioning this fire sprite and his motives if any. The unexpected visitor at the end had me yelling at my phone especially with it ending on a cliffhanger the way it did. I really want book 3 at this point and to know what happens.
Since Lucas tried to "help" deliver gifts ,; Santa decides to help with the Halloween Party in Hell. Holly is trying to find her spirit. Book 2 is hilariously funny. The scene at the library leaves you drooling and panting. This book leaves you with an oh shit cliffhanger. I can't wait to see what happens in book 3.
This was such a cool and enjoyable story. I could not put it down. From the moment that I started reading, I was hooked on it. I love the characters. They are so interesting and they make the story work. I do not know who I like more, they are all great. The book moved along at a great pace, which made it a nice read. This needs to be read, you will not be sorry that you did.
This is a continuation of Satan’s gift where you know the a devil does Xmas. In this book Nick does Halloween and its as great as it sounds. Luka is Satan in this series and is the fun positive person. While Santa is a grumpy hot guy. Then you know we have to add a sexy Elf whose ear blush. Both books are really great reads and I recommend to all!!
*WARNING* contains explicit sexual content This series is best read in order and contains a cliffhanger. I like the storyline of this series. There are some funny parts, but the over all story is very entertaining. As with book 1, I don't think the sex scenes are needed. The characters are great and the story just gets more interesting.
Next book goes more into what holly and her guys need to do in order to save the worlds. After confirming their suspicions now they just need to make sure she prepared herself for whatever is next. I'm excited to see what happens next, especially after that little scene with the sprite!
This book was every bit as good as the first! In this book, we get to catch up with Luka, Holly, X, and Bernard while Nick tries to plan a party in Hell. I can’t wait for book 3...this easily one of my favorite series!
Almost a three but for most of it I was bored. It was mainly Holly being a damsel in distress and sex rather than Santa messing with Luka. That bit was funny but not enough to keep my interest. Ends on a cliffhanger but yeah this one isn’t for me.
Like I said in my first review of the 1st book in this series, Satan's Gifts, these are quick witted, fun, creative reads. Get them both. Awaiting the 3rd book. Please be soon!😊
These stories are AMAZING!!! And I’m not a fan of holiday stories at all. But I loved that’s! Lots of extra steaminess and more intriguing mystery about Holly. Can Nick, Luka, and Bernard keep her safe as the newfound Spirit of the Worlds?
Just like the first book, this was a lot of fun to read. I feel like the plot is a bit of a mess but I was still intrigued and had a great time. I love seeing Holly, Luka, Bernard, and Luka interact. The spice is always my favorite part and I’m looking forward to book three.
We get another adventure with Hollu Luka Nick and Bernard as Nick tries to throw a halloween party in Hell. Holly is on a path to discover her powers and who is trying to kill her.
It just gets better and better. I will never not enjoy the grumpy Santa and cheery Devil plot. Also Bernard the elf is just the best! Super sexy characters, funny comebacks and great plot. These books are the best to put you in the Christmas spirit.
Everly Taylor once again does a great job. I love Holly, Nick, Bernard, & Luka. The chemistry between these characters is 🔥. I look forward to read more!
The first book was great and this series just keeps getting better. The chemistry of all the characters is so hot and I can't wait to see what happens next.
