This is a beautifully crafted Bible from reputable Holman publishing house. The theme (if one can title it such) of this edition is "Advancing God's Kingdom Agenda."
A Perfect Christmas Gift for Someone Special in Your Life!
The first "study Bible" I can recall is the one my father used and later passed on to me. It was the Scofield Reference Bible which was published in the King James Version and held notes by Dr. Scofield, eminent orator and preacher, indexed to the verses.. I loved that Bible and the insightful notes. That came out around 1916 or so and in the 1950s was still the "go to" study Bible. I have my own newer copy of this same "Old Scofield Bible" but a couple of other study Bibles as well.
It is interesting to see the way publishers are gearing their Bible printing with study helps to various audiences - boys, girls, children, teens, women, men. That is good, but it is also good to have a Bible that is appropriate for any and all.
Several years ago I began to hear the name "Tony Evans" dropped as a preacher that was worth listening to. He was making a difference. I heard one sermon by him on YouTube upon recommendation of a relative. I was quite impressed, although my being impressed was not what was important. What was important was his adherence to the Word of God, his clear and concise delivery, and the influence he had on his listeners.
The Tony Evans Study Bible is in the Christian Standard Bible version which is fast becoming a standard in Baptist churches. I'm still partial to the King James, but do see the value in this newer version. In this new study Bible, there are features you'll see in most study Bibles -- concordance, maps, etc. There are also articles by Tony Evans, devotionals, a harmony of the Gospels, etc. So much to use to glean nuggets of gold more readily from the richness of God's Word.
Beautifully bound in leathertouch and with thin, paper the feel of this Bible in your hands is that of quality and perfection. Black and Brown Leathertouch cover is soft and flexible. The Bible has a "hefty" feel but is comfortable in my hands.
There are modern, technological links in the print version and you can use the QReader on your mobile to access short comments. Example: The QReader for the Introduction to the Book of Exodus is just over 4 minutes in length where Tony Evans gives a visual intro to that Book of the Old Testament.

This has amazing resources. I not only enjoyed the Scriptures, the footnotes and extras were a huge plus!

Wow, got emotional reading the last few chapters of Revelation. Gods word is truly the best thing we have on earth. What a privilege we have to read it! And reread it indefinitely!
Thoroughly enjoy the CSB translation, def recommend.
Tbh do NOT recommend this study Bible, unless you want really crazy analogies about marriage that definitely do not honor women or men. Sorry, that was a bit harsh, but I did not find the study notes to be very helpful personally. Pretty regularly I would be reading a confusing verse/passage and look down to the study notes to find that he just didn’t write about it lol. Most of the extra content and study notes felt like devotionals, which could appeal to some, but just not me 🤷🏻♀️
There were obviously some useful tools in there but overall you could find a better option I’m sure.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIBLE
Wow! What a really nice Bible this is. My copy is the black and brown LeatherTouch imitation. It’s a handsome looking Bible that I think would be awesome for any man. It just has that male touch and feel. But, anyone can use this Bible. This Tony Evan’s study Bible is the Christian Standard Bible (CSB). And just a little bit about the CSB Bibles by Holman, these Bibles stay as literal as possible to the Holy Bible’s original meaning without sacrificing clarity, making it easier to engage with Scripture’s life-transforming message and to share it with others.
Other things about this Bible that stand out to me is the study notes from Tony Evan himself, from his many sermons and teachings. The many articles and lessons. The questions and answers offered, and the videos it gives access to. The first page to each book has an intro, and the format is very attractive.
This will be an awesome study Bible for the favorite person on your Christmas list. Or maybe you are in need if a new Bible, this would be a really nice pick for you. And if you already have a Bible, this would be a great addition to your study tools. Especially ially with the CSB translation so you can compare to your other Bibles. Any way you go, this Bible will be a good fit for you.

Tony Evans is full of revelation and practical application that helps the newly introduced and well-weathered Christian study the depths of Biblical context and application. He provides detailed commentaries, clear definitions, helpful QR code videos, in-color maps, and so much more! This is truly the only Bible a man needs. Highly recommended.

As a Study Bible, Dr. Evans commentary and words of wisdom are awesome. Like his preaching, straight from God. I just didn't like the Christian Standard Bible translation. Just left me underwhelmed vs. other translations.

Love this book, Tony Evans helps you connect everything we do to the gospel. Like your money, your family, government, marriage, kids, career. it really is a complete book to help you get closer to God and his agenda.

This is the first Bible I have ever read cover to cover. Dr Evans did an amazing job filling with insights clear understanding and a video qr code for each book with a personalized Introduction for each book of the bible.

A great and pastoral study Bible. The commentary is easy to understand and I loved the QR codes throughout each book. Also, the CSB has become one of my favorite translations

The Tony Evans Study Bible is a beautifully bound black and brown Bible that is packed with information and references to help the reader more effectively study the Bible. This is a Christian Standard Bible (CSB) translation which I personally love. Scripture references and footnotes are a huge part of this Bible, helping you to see the overall picture and to tie together references throughout the entire book.
Pastor Evans also includes personal notes from his own sermons and reflections for added clarity. Each chapter also has a video introduction you can access on your mobile device using the provided QR code. Honestly, I don't have a clue how that works but if you don't have that ability on your phone... there's an app available. There's an excellent concordance, several maps, and I especially love the "Hope Words" highlighted throughout the Bible. I only have one issue with this Bible: I like to make notes in the margins and there is simply no room on many pages. That is a small sacrifice, though, compared to the plethora of notes provided.
