Omegas of Pandora #6

Alpha's Redemption

Rate this book
She had never heard the word Omega.

Aura chose isolation over the terrifying passion, but that does not make her safe. She could not bear a life locked in a gilded cage, but she has no idea what dangers await outside the walls of the palace.

Castor will not stop until he recovers his mate, even if it means tearing the city apart brick by brick.

But he isn't the only one looking for her.

Time is running out for them both. She cannot survive without him. And he cannot live without her.

Alpha's Redemption is the final chapter of Aura and Castor's story. Alpha's Temptation and Alpha's Corruption should be read first.

What the hell? What a boring, unsatisfying book.

Very rushed. No chemistry between the H/h that was seen in the previous two books. The conflict was introduced and "resolved" too quickly, with no sense of actual danger, and no motivation. How long was Faseer experimenting? What happened to the subjects who survived? When did his sudden personal intent to have the h for his own come about? Is the H really not going to retaliate or investigate the experiments? How did the political strife become resolved? Did he abdicate? Is the h now queen? I honestly don't know what happened or why. Not sure if the author lost motivation to continue the story or was feeling pressure to put it out before it was ready but this was a big miss.

It always hurts me to give an under 3⭐︎ review, but 1s hurt the most.

I do not know what happened with this book—the rest of the series is solid 3s from me—but it truly feels like this one was put into the world just to get it over with so Ms. Sable can move onto something else. It feels like she hated writing this book, and it shows.

✏︎ There's a typo nearly every page, including misspelled character names. Well over what's reasonable for indie-published works.

✏︎ The plot thread went right out the window, and what's going on is confusing at best. Nothing is explained in this book, and it's all so random.

✏︎ All of the characters are having an identity crisis and acting all kinds of erratic.

✏︎ The ending is beyond unsatisfying and so abrupt I thought pages were missing. Is anyone happy? Was this supposed to be a HEA? It's not even a HFN.

I just...if something isn't working, it's better not to force it and move onto something else.

I particularly did not like how this ended. It felt like it was complete and all that was needed to be answered were not answered. Could have done better

Binged this in one sitting. Castor & Aura’s final book was perfection! Jam packed with action, obligation vs desire, betrayals and a fantastic love story. I am so happy I found this author and her omega storytelling.

Definitely recommend!

I spent $12 on this series and I want my money back. The last book was absolutely dreadful. Totally inconsistent with the rest of the series. In book one, I understood aura and castor’s motivation. I’m book two, I was mad at castor along with aura. You’d think book three would focus on fixing what’s wrong with their relationship and them individually, but it doesn’t. Instead, Aura becomes obsessed with freedom and choice (eye roll) which was NEVER a real issue in the previous 2 books. Yeah, she wanted to go home to her family, but she and castor kinda resolved their feelings for one another by the end of book 1. Book 2 dealt with Castor balancing his duties as prince with an omega he’s mated to and has to hide. While he was able to give into his urges in the forbidden zone, his high and mighty morals came to the forefront when he got back home. Obviously, aura was pissed he came to her at night and acted like she didn’t exist during the day. So she runs when she realizes there’s a real threat to her life and is legitimately unsure he’ll listen to her. So book 3 had to tackle her disappearance and castor fucking giving into his urges and realizing fighting them made him an asshole. That’s a lot to delve into for a novella- not to mention the plot with the vigil-something-government. But instead a whole lot of other shit was thrown in and issues that were kinda resolved were rehashed. I swear to God- there was no point in book 1&2 where Aura was so fucking obsessed with freedom because she wanted freedom-really, she wanted communication and to not be cast aside. Book 2 actually states that part of the reason she wants to run is because she didn’t want to watch him get married. Her motivation to leave isn’t necessarily freedom but a feeling of rejection from him. He acts like he’s annoyed with her because he is since he’s trying so hard to fight his instincts. She even takes responsibility for biting him in book one and enjoying when he came to see her in book 2. Meanwhile in book 3 she accuses him of rape and controlling her and taking away all her choices. It’s like the author rehashed talking points from omegaverse books I hate where they singularly focus on omega oppression as if the book takes place in 2022 America. It just didn’t line up with her internal monologue in book 1&2. And castor was a beta in this book- a bumbling idiot in book 2 and a high and mighty beta in book 3. Ugh…this series could’ve been good but book 2 had me worried and book 3 ruined it. So much retconning. Such a shame. And I’m not even going to get into the numerous grammatical errors. One star-but I’ll be fair and not change my previous scores for book 1&2.

This sixth book could be considered the weakest of the three books that tell the story of Aura and Castor. However, it is worth reading to finish the story. Books #4 was the strongest storytelling, IMO, with a change in pace from Alpha-Omega stories, creating a kind of dream-like, survival situation. Book #5 was interesting to imagine what the Omega harem is like and to better understand the complex political situation that Castor is in.

Book #6 is the weakest because while it brought many threads to a close, there were still many threads left open, suggesting the possibility of a Book #7. For instance, some of the questions I've seen (but I don't agree with) from other readers are questions like did Aura become queen and what happened to Castor's fiancee. But for me, the more important questions were, how did Castor grow and mature as a king from this experience. He had acted shamefully and immaturely as did Aura, in their relationship and in his ruling of the kingdom. There was such an attempt to explain the citizen legislation and the people that were against Castor, but then this is not mentioned at the end as to how Castor rooted out his enemies.

As for other plot points, it was nice to see Legion and Adrian go on a romp with the Prince, but realistically, did that feel real or realistic? The torture scene was so short as to be unrealistic, too. Also, towards the end, Aura was just plain annoying and unrealistic with how much she fought Castor. I know that many of these stories have to create drama with a kind of enemies-to-friends, forced closeness, but sometimes, that stuff is really excessive, especially when it comes to sounding like a spoiled child and lack of awareness of the extreme danger they are in.

So I can see the complaints that others have had about this last book being a bit shortchanged.
I really hope they have a book #7 then. Perhaps it may include more of Aura. Perhaps it's not their love story, but continues the story of the kingdom. If that is true, I'm more likely to have a favorable view of book #6 if they manage to tie up more strings in the next book.

A sweet HEA, after a good deal of suspense

This book conflicted me a bit. Castor became kind of like two different people and it was hard to discern which one was the "real" him. He still makes weird choices for a ruler, and for all of his caution to reign in his Alpha urges, he sure jumps into most things.
The one shining star in this book, I thought, was Adrian. He was amazing and for a brief second I had hoped something would bloom between him and Aura. (It didn't) I would LOVE to hear more about his story and for him to potentially get another Omega of his own.
Aura continued to grow into a stronger character, but not quite enough for my liking. But everyone is different and handles things differently. I could definitely deal with her character more easily than Castor's.
All in all, it's a good, quick read and I would be interested in another book from this world.

I really wanted to like this ending but I feel I'm being generous with two stars. This book needed a good editor, and not just for grammar, though that was needed in this one more than the others. It needed an editor to tie the story together and point out inconsistencies. The resolution is WEAK, especially for the tension building from the previous book. I just felt the resolution didn't address the main conflict(s) instead it relied heavily on what I call the "fear of losing you makes everything better, the end" and it left me extremely disappointed in the end of this series. There was real potential for character growth and I didn't get those feels to the degree needed for me to enjoy this one.

loved this series but oh boy…

Look, it scratched an itch, which was great. But the grammatical errors and spelling mistakes, the shifting POVs in the middle of chapters, of paragraphs?? I understand editors are expensive, but seriously, if the author had spent some time just going over it herself she could have fixed most of these.

And my biggest problem? The timeline!! Legion rescues the prince. This happens when Ianthe is only convinced she’s pregnant, but it’s too early to confirm. One week later, Castor is meeting with Legion who says his son was born “weeks ago.”

WTF?? Is it really that hard to keep track of the timeline?

This really reads like a rough draft. And it’s a pity.

Slightly disappointed with this one. I loved the others of Aura and Castors story but this one just sort of ended; Abruptly. I feel like there could have been a better way to bring on the happily after considering how Aura becomes super whiny and blamed absolutely everything on Castor without taking and responsibilities onto herself. It was her choices that led her to some of the worst circumstances; yet it is some how entirely his fault. *eye roll*
Then all of a sudden they are living happily ever after. Just disappointed in this one

At first, i really liked the concept and how i thought it would’ve worked out, however, the development was kinda sloppy and rushed.

The first book was a solid one and gave us the feeling of the trilogy, the second one was nothing special because nothing really happens, and the third and last book was a disappointment.

The end seemed so wrong, like after all we’ve been through the last 2 books, they just finish it off like that? Not even a baby on the way, after we see the love Aura has for them, or Castor giving up something of his ideals? It felt rushed and unnatural.

I’ll review later

I’m just going to say, my personal opinion, since it took such a long time for book 3 to come out this caused me to lose interest in the story. I didn’t realize this until I started reading book 3 and found I would stop to read other books, finish them, then attempt to get back into Alpha’s Redemption. Took me 2 or more months to finally finish this book and it left me feeling like blah. Maybe later I’ll give it another go in the future.

Why Aura?

Why is it that the main female character in many paranormal books does dumb stuff that makes one dislike them? I could see the pros and cons from Aura and Castor’s point of view. The storyline of this book was pretty good; except for the afore mentioned above. As mentioned in previous reviews, all six books should be in just one book since the stories are short novellas. At least Castor redeemed himself in the book.

Not the best book in the series but we do ultimately get our HEA. Yes its a little rushed and a little light on romance but it is passionate and compelling. When the three books are considered as a set, the series is still well worth a read even if this particular book is not the strongest. I really enjoyed Castor and Aura's story. 3 stars.

Loved this ending

Finally we saw the ending for Aura and Castor’s story. My only criticism is that we don’t stay with them a little longer as they are finally together, accepting one another and happy. It was quite a ride to get here though, excellent read and I really enjoy the Alpha/Omega world in this story.

I took a star away because I wanted some kind of Epilogue or even few pages of seeing what he will do with her!? Cmon! She's going go be a queen? Is she going to rule beside him?

But I have to say I truly enjoyed this couple a lot more. This book was definitely the weakest but stil I liked it.

I hope we will get a book of Adrian. He is so captivating.

When your scared of your desire

Knowing what you want can be good but when it’s your true desire it can scare you enough to make you run from it. Just know that some desires will hunt you down and keep you from running because they know what’s good for you!

Sigh, short but good

Very short but delicious! I think these books are middle of the road alpha omega stories. Not as dark as some of my Fav omega verse writers, but not overly light either.
Is Adrian getting a book?

I Can't Believe I Waited This Long for This Book...

...And I'm disappointed.

I first found the Omegas of Pandora books last June. I read those first 5 books back-to-back. I don't know if I would call them favorites, but I thought the character-building and world-building were awesome. Alas, those things were not enough to save this book. (Partially because I had to wrack my brain to remember some of the details that were revisited in this book.)

In Alpha's Corruption, Aura had to deal with the reality that Castor was expected to marry a princess from Vigil in order to forge an alliance. He intended to keep Aura as sort of a concubine. Aura refused to live that way, and she escaped the palace with some help from Adrian, despite Castor's warnings of the dangers outside the palace... especially for an Omega.

Aura was so totally unlikeable. On the one hand, she's content--if not happy--with Castor; then on the other hand she hated him and wanted to throw things at him. She made bad decisions and put herself (and Castor) in danger, then blamed Castor for it. In my opinion, Aura was TSTL. I found myself hoping Castor would get tired and leave her to the evil scientists in Vigil. She was whiny and she suffered from a compulsion that I like to call Super B!tc# syndrome. This is where some weak, whiny heroine decides she can take care of everything on her own, including fighting off big burly men, or she thinks she knows everything and blatantly ignores the Hero, which ultimately results in more trouble/danger.

These 2 stars are solely because I like Castor. I actually like Legion and Adrian, too. Maybe I'll bump the rating up to 3 stars for them? Nah.

This book has some sexual assault situations (and at least the threat of rape), so be aware of this.

Yeah... I think disappointed covers it.

I'm glad I ignored the first couple of reviews. Very low stars and not as impressed with this last book of the series. Well, I disagree. I thoroughly enjoyed it as a light read ✨️
I didn't find it rushed. Although I would've liked a little more of what the future will look like.

There's potential for more books in this series. I have a strong feeling that Adrian will get his own story, or is that just my wishful thinking 🤔
