Born in Far North Queensland, I ended up being dragged over most of the state before the age of ten--and then into the Northern Territory and back, so that I attended four different primary schools and two high schools by graduation. In a country that inspires the imagination, and in towns that made me dream of worlds beyond my own, I started writing early, and reading voraciously.

In high school, I discovered writers like Anne McCaffrey, Harry Harrison, John Christopher, Douglas Hill and Alan Dean Foster. They kept me company--and semi-sane--through most of my young adult years, and beyond. I’ve done time in the Royal Australian Air Force, worked as a governess and teacher, and been an analyst, and, all that time, I kept writing, and exploring both my worlds and those I was privileged to be invited to share. Now, you can find my stories at most of the major distributors. Thank you, for sharing this part of my journey with me.

This was a great book, and I was riveted to it until the final page.

Marsh, Roeglin, Master Envermet, plus the rest of the group, have finally caught up with the Raiders that kidnapped Gustav, and to say that they paid for this, is a bit of an understatement, to be sure.

There was a lot happening - but then, isn't there always with Colleen's books - and most of it was quite nail biting.

It's hard to let go of this story, now I've reached the end, and the only thing that makes it okay, is that there's still two more books to go in this series.

Unfortunately, I won't be going on to book seven right now, as my reading list tells me I need to go onto book eight of the Feisty Druid, next: Legends for Ancients.

I'm always sad at being dragged away from any of the Kurtherian series I happen to be reading at that moment, but the beauty is, that each series I need to move on to, will be just as good so, although I spend my time zipping from one book to the next, and one series to the next, I enjoy every one of them!

So, here I go again, on my magical mystery tour around the Kurtherian Universe - though this series is set in a future Irth - and so, once I've read this next book, I'll see you on the flip side, to tell you more about it! 😀

Worth the wait!

It was quite a while between boom and the last, but definitely worth the wait.

Marsh continues on her journey and we see her grow, as well as the other characters. New friends, old enemies, and some amazing magic.

I’m looking forward to seeing the next two books and how the story ends.

Enjoyed this book

If this book is the first you have read in the series, it’s a little confusing. The ones that have followed from the beginning will be pleased along the way with how the characters have evolved. The children have grown with their power and yet still have remained as problematic as children can be. A good read.

Great series

The concept of this series is really good. I like the mix of all the magics and how everyone is slowly getting stronger in them. The main characters are fun and all the stories have lots of action , adventures and humor in them. I am very much looking forward to the next book.

Places, people and things

Good stories need places for the story to happen. They need people to interact in these places to tie every thing together. Michael has created a wonder-filled world of interesting people and places. He creates tools such as swords, darts and shields from shadows and words. I enjoyed this book.

The wait was worth it.

Longer than anticipated wait for this book, but it was worth the wait. The book flowed really well and the suspense built all through the book. The characters are great and Marsh seems to be maturing, can't wait for the reveal of who is behind all this.

Yippee!

This is a series I particularly loved. Then it ended because life got in the way for the author. Totally understandable, but still, I was, ooh nooo! Very disappointed. So happy to have the chance to read until the end

Fantastically Good

OMG, loving the character of Arryn and the growth she has shown throughout the series so far. And wow, how good a character is Aisha, the attitude and sass!!! Then you get the name Envermet, how the heck do you get a name like that, I just love it! Can’t wait for more, bring it on.
