The Vessel has awakened and the stage is set for a new era in the Three Worlds - an era in which old wounds are healed by a powerful new Covenant.

And yet, as gods and fate weave through Meera's story once again, an unspeakable tragedy rips through Terra. As a terrible power is unleashed upon the three worlds, The Vessel must wrestle not only with the many burdens forced upon her by The Jewel, but also with her own humanity. The very definition of what it means to be human is changing, and Meera is at the center of it all.

Nadriel watches as the new era unravels into chaos and loss. Forced to shoulder an unexpected shift in destiny, he begins to question what he is - and who he could become. As he fights to protect the woman he loves and champion the cause he has pledged himself to, Nadriel, the Dragon God, will be tested in ways he never could have imagined.

And as the two key pieces in the Jewel's puzzle grapple with their fates, unexpected players begin to find themselves in roles greater than anyone could have imagined. As bonds are forged and broken, both god and mortal alike will question who they are and what their place is in the balance of Terra itself.

A new Covenant waits to be realized - but the price may be more than anyone can bear.

This was such an emotional and exciting final chapter to this series. It spoke on understanding ones self, forgiveness, and love in many ways beyond romantic. The writing was beautiful as always, bringing this world to life with vivid fantasy and palpable magic.
