Victor, the self proclaimed King of Dinosaurland, has successfully fought off the first ambush attack from the distant enemy tribe and returned to his own fort carrying three stegos worth of malachite.
But there is no time to rest.
Victor knows that his tribe is still vulnerable, and he’ll have to change his game plan if he wants to protect his women. They will have to find a new home, tame new dinosaurs, and remove any tactical advantage their enemies have. They must grow stronger so they can strike back and destroy their enemies.
Tamer always pleases. From riding dinosaurs, to brutal Dino on Dino on combat, to fighting with simple yet effective prehistoric weapons versus survivors that have a variety of super powers, the action, setting, characters, even dinosaur pets, every single aspect of this book is fantastic.
The story takes place just after Tamer 5 and is the first in opening up the wider world to Victor and crew to search for and fight the other evil tribes that reside in Dinosaurland and fights their most powerful fight to date.
Read this series if you like Dinosaurs, if you like beautiful and powerful women, if you like survival stories, or if you like a great Main character that grows with time, and is coming into his own as the King of Dinosaurs.
Fucking killer as usual. The quality of writing when it comes to the plot and story progression still astounds me. The story's pacing is clearly thought out and the dialogue between characters is fantastic. So many of books in this niche genre have character interactions that are so out of place at times that it doesn't feel natural or make sense. Michael though continues to make it look easy.
This series just keeps getting better and better. I love how, no matter what happens in the story, it's well written and the characters are compelling. Can't wait for the next book. Keep up the good work, Michael-Scott Earle.
Excellent times infinity! Michael Scott Earle has continued to produce another hit in the Tamer series! He keeps on entertaining with this series and truly wish I could have Tamer 7, Tamer 8 and Tamer 9 done already so I continue to delve into this magnificent world he has created.
Give it five stars just for persistence in getting this thing published. The author has been around the ringer from the publishing world and so for him to go through bookfunnel is exciting. I like the tamer world the most of his works and this one didn't disappoint! Vince figures that he and his tribe need a new place to live and most of this book deals with this development. The different dinosaurs that have been tamed are front and center here in all their glory. Great novel! I will definitely eagerly anticipate the next one!
Victor gets more power to control dinosaurs and has the best camp to rule dinosaur land. He is now hunting around for another land to settle down on and to kill off the unknown powerful enemy. Oh, and to get all the woman.
I didn't know what I was getting into when I read the first book but now I find myself 6 books deep and have book 7 downloading now. This is my first harem series and probably only however it is fun and really easy to read with some good battle scenes.
I love the characters, action, tension, and especially the climax. Overall another great entry in the series and I'm dying to know what happens next!
As for criticisms, I do feel like the praise heaped upon Victor became a bit too self-indulgent, possibly because it came from Emerald. (I could always see how Trel was doing it as a sort of overcompensation for denigrating him when they first met.)
I also feel like his journey from a meek animal catcher into a trained assassin here could have been developed a bit better. (I know he killed that blade-ring guy with his trike, plus those guys who had Tannin in self-defense, among others.) But stalking and murdering someone up-close with your own hands is something else still. I think giving the first kills at least a bit more weight would help raise the tension and sympathy.
Now I'm getting nitpicky, but the way he described his strategy game skills bothered me. He could just said something like "I placed among the top 5 percentile in North America" and be done with it, but he went on for a bit too long repeating the "Korean player" joke from a previous book.
And finally I thought the torture scene was gratuitous and awkward. Nothing to do with politics, as I could understood the torture scene in the "Re:Monster" manga where the protagonist tortured one dissenter in front of a crowd in order to set an example and scare them into obedience. Getting vital information could be another defendable purpose for torture. But torturing someone because Emerald sacrificed her clone and gave Victor a huge scare? I think the scene could be improved had Victor simply clubbed him to death out of anger within a minute or two (like Kratos from God of War does it sometimes) instead of deliberate torture. And then not dwell much on it afterwards. I fear the abyss is gazing back into Victor.
These are just my small, personal gripes out of hundreds of pages of awesomeness. I love this series which is why I may sound harsh.
A jaunty little side trip In book 6 Victor goes on a week long road trip of camping and murder. It's just him and Emerald and a few dinos. It's a fun little bonus story to get us all back in the swing of things after that long hiatus.
If Tamer is an empire building game, This is a side quest. Wile it will unlock future upgrades and expansions, there isn't much focus on the main group or story. Still a fun episode with dinosaur battles, exploration, hot sex, and the preemptive slaughter of some bad dudes.
loved this new addition to the series and the direction it is going. Also going up against the most powerful Alien yet is pretty neat. can't wait to see what happens with the next book. My only hope is that they change the rate Victor increases his rate of adding 'Women' to his Eye-Q.
A great isekai Litrpg with dinosaurs and babes. If Victor isn't taming or riding a dino he's out taming and being rode by women. I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys Litrpg, town building, or harem stories.
Dinos got better. Most of the book was Emerald talkin sign language to Victor, so basically Victor was talking alone, Then then she started to talk via telepathy aaand I kinda wished she never could. We got some worldbuilding, which was nice and not so mysterious.

I just wish there was more. this series thread the line between being sexual, but only some times, and surviving. i really enjoyed these books. i just wish there was more.
Finally Emerald speaks. And i really enjoyed the anthropomorphicati0n of Victor's dinosaurs. That added a quite enjoyable new element to the narrative.
MSE does not disappoint. He continues to write books that are fun to read, engaging and provide enough action and battles to keep you turning the pages. Victor once again adds new dinosaurs to the herd, Beavis and Butthead, and adds Emerald to the list of conquests as well. Their foray into Dinosaurland looking for a new camp site is the main aspect of this book, we even see the introduction of a new potential tribe mate, Bexcee. The introduction of a hostile tribe of males, with their own powers and dynamics, add to the suspense of the book and make it even more enjoyable. MSE continues to write books that are fun to read. I couldn’t put it down and finished it with anticipation for the next book. Looking for to seeing how the tribe responds to the newest challenge and how Victors is once again able to save the day.
