*This book is the sequel to HER and is meant to be read in order. He was my secret. He never knew my lies. I was all he ever wanted. He was the only thing I had. She takes everything and leaves nothing. I won’t share him. I’d die before I let her take him. Because I'm his and he's mine.
Portia Moore is an Amazon and iBooks bestselling author of romantic suspense, including the popular If I Break series, the Her series, and the Collided series, which combined have sold over one million copies across all platforms. Located in the chilly Midwest, her favorite vacations are anywhere that's hot and sunny with a beach, reading the same kind of heart-pounding, twisty, edge-of-your seat romantic thrillers that she loves to write. When that's not possible, she loves drinking wine, cooking (also with wine) and spending time with her little family of one human child and two furbabies, one that barks and one that meows.
Megan/ Alana, Ian, & Kam, are a hoot! I love this entire series. I'm so glad the Cal/Chris are there to make it even better. Looking forward to Alana taking over the reigns. Her and Ian together are a combustible pair. I feel Ian's pain over losing Alana whom he loves so much. I cannot wait for them to come together again in the next chapter of this ongoing saga.
True to the second book, it picks right up and keeps going. It gives you more knowledge into what is going on with the main story line and plows you right along with them. The pace is steady and doesn’t slack one bit and the writing is on point just as the first book “Her”. This series is very addictive in the best possible way!!
Me gustó mucho este segundo libro también, predecible por como comenté en el primer libro pero lo recomiendo...el final wow, te deja con ganas de leer el tercero.
I enjoyed this sequel more than the first one. We get to learn more about Ian’s character. He’s the focus of this story. He learns that his wife Alana doesn’t have a twin, but that the person he’s talked to is actually a girl named Megan. Megan with the help of Blue, learns that she has dissociative identity disorder. She has no memory of Ian, or their life together when she was Alana.
Megan has always wanted to learn more about her family, and she learns that she has a brother named Cal. She ends up meeting Cal and learns that they have the same disorder. I have Blue is supportive in this story, and it was interesting to find out he has a connection to both Kam and Ian. Ian is supportive of Megan as well and is determined to stick by her no matter what.
I sympathized with Megan in the novel. It’s overwhelming for her when she’s first diagnosed, but I love how Cal is so supportive and protective of her. I loved Ian as a character. We do get to see Kam in this novel just not as much. When Kam discovers Megan’s diagnosis, he’s understanding. He seems to really care for Megan as well.
I also sympathized with Ian as well because even though he wants to be there for Megan, he can’t help but want his wife back. Megan and Ian have a chemistry too, so I’m not sure what’s going to happen next. The cliffhanger shocked me. It did take me some time to warm up to this series, but I’m in now. Despite it being similar to the other series, I want to see what happens next with these characters.
Portia Moore is the "Queen of Twists". When I pick up one of her books, I know it's going to be a memorable ride. This book had everything I've come to expect out of Portia- romance, tears, steam, HOT HOT HOT chemistry, and plot twists. Just when you think you know what's coming next, think again because you're about to get flipped! I found it really easy to fall in love with the characters, and LOVED the chemistry between them. I absolutely devoured this book. It took less than 5 hours for me to finish it, I just couldn't put it down unless forced!! I think Ian is my new favorite book boyfriend!! Do NOT miss this book. It's a MUST READ, especially for fans of the "If I Break" series.
Megan has just upended the safe life she had built with her boyfriend Kam, leaving him embarrassed and wondering where she has gone. Needing to know more about her family and where she came from, she sets out to find the brother she never knew, the only family she might have in the world worth knowing. Now Megan has found herself standing face to face with a man, Ian, who claims she is his wife. Megan has no idea who this, admittedly gorgeous, man is or why he keeps calling her Alana. Is Alana a long-lost twin sister? Why does she feel an instant familiarity, almost attraction, to Ian? Her journey to find her brother will prove to find much more than she bargained for....
Ugh, another cliffhanger! And the next book doesn’t come out until January.
If you’ve read the first book, you are already familiar with the twist. I was overjoyed to see Cal again! I seriously fell in love with him all over again and this isn’t even his book. Megan is his sister, and he’s all about family. I loved how over protective he was of his little sis.
Now this story is a little harder to read than the If I Break series because there are 2 men/relationships. Alana & Ian and Megan & Kam. I really wish I loved Ian, but I don’t. If he didn’t sleep his way through Chicago (while still married), I may have a different opinion. But I just can’t get past the cheating. Yes, I know Alana left him. BUT you’re still married and still in love with her......So.....yeah. I just can’t forgive it.
Now Megan loves Kam. And Kam is super sweet and gentle and kind. The opposite of Ian. But can he deal with the baggage that is Megan/Alana? And let me just say, Alana is kind of a bitch. And definitely evil. Am I supposed to like this alter? Cause I don’t. I like Megan, she just needs to grow a pair of lady balls and everything will be fine and dandy.
That ending....my thoughts were.....OH NO. We are in for some drama now.

What an amazing read yet again from portia. I have been in love with this series and the whole If I break books from the start. The characters, the twists and turns in the story I just wish the books didn't have to end I'm lost when I get to the end of the book. Cant wait to see where you take us in the next book, I'll be here patiently waiting
